The black out curtains did a great job keeping the lights out and I overslept if anything ! What I could change was the toiletries which was lame. Some hair face body wash all in one kinda deal which to me was lame. That aside excellent for the price point with amazing service.

This was reserved in a place on the 3rd floor. I was on the 2nd. The breakfast was reasonable for what the place is, and carries most of what you need. They can't do bacon, but they can do sausages. The latter tasted OK. Its redeeming feature is its staff. All friendly, and helpful, and with a smile and some banter. I'd use it again, but I'd iron my shirts when I get there....

This is a review from back in June 2010…read more This is an outstanding place, unlike anything we see in the USA. Chuck E Cheese, pub, indian restaurant, banquet hall all rolled up into one. The food is outstanding. We had a big group of 25-30 people, we ordered a lot of food from the grilled platter (chicken, lamb, fish, etc). All outstanding. Outside of India, England has the best indian food in the world. No need to tell the waiter "spicy" here. This area of town caters to Asian people and they will make it to their tastes. Curries, naans, and the indian beers on tap like cobra were all outstanding. Highly reccommend if you are ever in this part of the country!

From the outset we should of known Swarg Asian Weddings Designer were going to cause what should be a happy time for any couple untold amount of problems. My sister initially agreed the price of a mandap we wanted however when Dipesh from Swarg came round to us he completely dismissed the verbal agreement his brother made and said we would have to pay a higher price, this should of signalled the type of company this was however we loved the mandap they had. When we initially went with Swarg they came round gave a great sales pitch, saying how they will take care of us and nothing is too much trouble and anything we wanted altered they would do for us. As Dipesh joined us for lunch and tea, he gave the pricing details which we agreed to in principle and gave a deposit. A few months later and as we got closer to the wedding, we wanted updates on how the preparation was going, then the problems started with Swarg Asian Weddings Designer. They did not answer emails or return phone messages. They would start to act rudely to us over the phone. Our plans for the wedding changed as they do, because of our financial restraints we had to take out the evening reception, thinking Swarg Asian Weddings Designer as a company would have experience in dealing with change of plans in weddings they would understand and be able to adjust as they first said in their meeting at our house, all we could remember is the words "don't worry I will take care of you" It was starting to look like a case you would see on BBC Watchdog! With the slimy sales guy taking your money and feeding you the scripted story. Dipesh at Swarg Asian Weddings Designer refused to change our wedding itinerary and pushed on us that we must pay for everything, which we knew we couldn't even if wanted to. He wanted us to pay for items that we would not use since not having a reception, such as extra centrepieces and chair covers and and when we asked what will do with the extras his response to us was "I don't know what you're going to with them" which as a so called professional "Weddings Designer" isn't a response we were expecting! We could not understand why changes could not be made as Swarg was not purchasing certain items from a third party company and were from his own stock. His excuse was that Swarg had purchased items already (7 months before the wedding - I think not!) but Dipesh told my partner he you could cut down flowers etc. This indicated they had not been pre-paid for, as he could cut down the quantity. Which again would cost Swarg Asian Weddings Designers nothing. Swarg tried to accuse us of not wanting the mandap and we were trying to pull out but as we said throughout to Swarg that is really all that we wanted and was the bulk of the cost but we were willing to also take some of the extras. Things were getting nasty a time that should be a happy for us. Dipesh from Swarg Asian Weddings Designer was then trying to bring up that we agreed to the terms of the contract and there was no going back. At this point it did seem a long way from when we invited Swarg Asian Weddings Designer into our home for the lunch and tea with my family to discuss the wedding. Thinking we were complete idiots we pulled out the terms contract and put it to Swarg Asian Weddings Designer there was nothing in writing, email or did we sign anything confirming the non-return of our deposit or not being able to change our package. By the end knowing we were going to pull out, Dipesh from Swarg half heartily agreed to make majority of the changes, however by this time Dipesh at Swarg Asian Weddings Designer had completely ruined our relationship with them and we could not trust them to deliver on the day and my partner could not stand or believe a word Dipesh from Swarg Asian Weddings Designer was saying. We had no choice but loose our deposit and find another wedding suppler at the last minute. I think we would be stressing all the way to the wedding day thinking would they turn up late, would it look like a mess just to spite us. We conclude by saying this is based on our experiences with Swarg Asian Weddings Designer based in Leicester. We would say in our opinion this Swarg is all about the money and not about making your day a special one. I am glad we stood up and not be forced into purchasing items that we are not going to use. I would say to anybody looking at Swarg Asian Weddings Designer to cater for their wedding, shop around, we eventually went for Wed-In-Style, but there are many, in our opinion reputable companies out there where they put your need for a stress less and happy planning before the need to make as much money from you no matter what! We were last minute looking around for a venue decorator so not had done enough research…read more Saw a few and found one called Swarg. Dipesh is the owner and dealt with us. BEFORE Swarg (i.e. Dipesh) takes your cash deposit: Dipesh offered many things, a great sales pitch. Like he has a wide range of choices. He said he will sort us out no worries. Was selling his services and how experienced they are with a wide range. So we put down our non refundable cash deposit. They mentioned their times to do up the venue and remove decorations where shorter. AFTER taking the deposit: Dipesh limited what he could offer to basic cheaper items. So straight away we were limited and were not given what we wanted. If we wanted our choice it was an upsell so we would have to pay more. Dipesh said at a later stage, (not at the start) that he hires out items himself. There times to remove the decoration became longer so we had to pay the venue for an extra hour. Swarg could just have bought extra people down. On the day of the event, we were being hassled to ensure we bring rest of the cash as Dipesh mentioned in the past he has previous customers not wanting to pay in full properly. That should have been a sign for us that the service /mis-selling from Swarg may have been one reason for the previous customer. CONCLUSION: Service was poor. Lots of mis-selling and incorrect marketing. I would advise you go and see a decorator who is transparent and upfront, who has his own goods, so if they say they have a wide range you have the proof beforehand. ONLY PAY via credit card so you are protected against bad service and any mis-selling.
