A nicely refurbished post office & general store close to Hitchin town centre, next to the junction…read moreof Bucklesbury & Nghtingale Road. A small amount of short stay parking directly ouside. Service is friendly. I would rather use this post office than the main one in the market square.

This is our nearest post office and generally the one I go to rather than the main post office in…read morethe main square. Unfortunately I think this sub-post office is under threat of closure in the recent review of local post office services so its days may be numbered, which is a huge shame. The staff are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable and although you sometimes have to queue for a while it's better than the cashier number 3 recorded voice approach of the main post office in town. It's also a little shop and newsagents for groceries and magazines etc - prices are all entirely reasonable - what you'd expect for a local corner shop. There's limited parking outside but you can usually find a space.
