The parent's driving should be held accountable for their bad driving, speeding thru the crosswalks, getting out of their cars and dressing their children blocking the lines, stopping in the 1st lane halfway between buildings to let their kid out, then expect someone to just let them cross over 2 more lanes to leave. They do what they want. I can't support a school, when they clearly cannot grasp the concept of Drop off and Pick up. I've moved my children to another school.

We ask that you evaluate this teacher's attitude when she is in class with the students. The manner in which she speaks to them radiates frustration and anger, I don't speak to my children in the tone she does and they certainly don't deserve it from their teacher. These are very young children and some fragile, as such they shouldn't be berated for simple errors. We are all playing a part in shaping their futures and her toxic attitude does not help shape them in a positive manner. Take a moment and listen in on her lessons and you'll plainly notice that she's not in the right profession.

I walked my kids to school a few times and was ready to sit and eat with them before school started but was surprised when I came to find that "breakfast" is a few "stands" throughout the school where you stand in line and grab cereal or if you're lucky a breakfast sandwich and eat it on your way to the classroom. I'm not too old 28 to be exact but when I attended school and had free breakfast we ate in the cafeteria and it was our choice of hot food I.e. sausage biscuit or cold as in cereal! And you knew when the bell rand to get to class! Now I understand they are elementary students but I did it at their age and the teachers told us when it was time to go to class! I was appalled by the breakfast system! Never had the chance to experience lunch fortunately! But I will say the teachers were good! Specifically 5th and 3rd grad teachers! The front office has a locking mechanism that definitely is annoying but I understand the safety issues! The officer for this school is good! He's one of the reasons this isn't a 1 star! Parking is crazy and the location is OK but the road the school is located on is unforgiving when dropping off your kids!

The teacher seemed to put forth zero effort and I frequently received newsletters and permission slips days to weeks after they were due. Progress updates were non existent. There was no organization in the classroom or at pick up and drop off. There was also virtually no school functions like dances, festivals or award ceremonies. My child now attends a different local elementary school and I am 100% happier and so is my son. This probably isn't the worst school in the county but I would never consider sending my kid here again.

What were once A rated schools have dropped to C and other insane things go on. In fact-i have 2 of my kids (the last one is too young) in schools in South Tampa! So I enrolled my middle child in this school for the Summer VPK program. Initially, going there to drop off the voucher (which I want to state for the record, is a stupid system. There are better ways to keep track of things), it was a little unorganized and the woman at the front desk...well, let's just say I am thrilled I didn't have to deal with her past that point (nice but not attentive and made me wait while she was outside making small talk with a parent she knew). Once we were in, I was very pleased. The other lady in the office (the younger one) was very pleasant-always greeted you when you enter the office or in passing on campus. First day of VPK, we were late and when we got there, we were given a tour by a kind teacher. Our VPK teacher, who is a Kindergarten teacher there, was very nice. She always updated me on my child and seemed on top of things. She had her room all set up and prepared for teaching. The campus seems small, I really didn't venture past the Kindergarten hallway. Cute little garden in the middle of the property. Location is convenient and yet also it's pitfall as it is close to Clairemel and not quite a desirable area-but exact location of this school is good-close to Brandon and other things, close to freeway and expressway. The middle school is also right next door so it's convenient if you have a child in elementary and middle, I saw some lousy ratings on Google for this school which are unfair. They didn't write much or anything at all as to why they gave the school a bad rating. Overall my daughter enjoyed her summer there and I have no complaints!

We have a 2nd and 5th grader and I've always been pleased with their teachers, the staff is very professional and has always been helpful when I had questions or when I was at the school to visit. The grounds of this school are so well kept, the security here gives me comfort as well, so many resource officers and lots of teachers out helping kids when it's time for final bell. Teachers are great at communicating here, we couldn't make it to our sons parent teacher conference so she called us and had a phone conference instead, they are so good at working around busy schedules too! Highly recommend this school to anyone in the area.

I thought, that's weird, school started three weeks ago, and I didn't get a notice about making a ride or die option. I called the number she gave me, and the receptionist at the superintendent's office was confused. She said it was up to Spoto to either let kids back in or not, depending on availability. Which is reasonable. TODAY a mass email went out by the principle saying "The declaration of intent for elearning and brick and mortar is now closed". So, that hoe bag lied to me yesterday. This is my son's first year here, he is in the fifth grade and wow, what a breath of fresh air. We attended a program last night at the school where the school patrols were given their well-deserved badges, and where the teachers informed parents on many exciting things happening in class and many more to come. We had many teachers leave during the year, there was limited opportunities for art and No music programs for middle school. I volunteered here for a 6th school dance, and witnessed the lack of disrespect and damages toward school property. The teachers allowed music to be streamed via laptop and it even included explicit lyrics. I spent most of the night chasing kids to stop them from breaking glow sticks to flock the neon gel on themselves or school property. Trying to leave the venue aka cafeteria to explore classrooms above. This school has great security to keep people, parents out but lacks insight on properly supporting discipline procedures within their own staffing. There is athletics in the form of basketball and soccer as well as cheerleading. Those departments are not could not offer a regular words and celebrations or recognition at the end of the season unless a parent rally's to create a board. Or privately funded by parents. In middle school the children were instructed to read from an online program that was limited in content. No actual books were encouraged. And that may be teacher discretion. Many parents aren't as involved here since there is a monopoly of the same parents signing up for things. Many working parents do not get a fair opportunity to volunteer, unless planned months in advance or there is some consideration toward voting for times to release sign ups hour. A lot of the happy reviews reflect elementary experiences. Since those kids aren't as much of a concern and have years for Waterset charter to fix or mold those curriculums.

In one year my child had 4 DIFFERENT math teachers! 4!!!! How is my child supposed to thrive like this?! They don't have an indoor lunch room for the children either! Try to get an understanding of what the kids are learning? Good luck! No agendas, no weekly communication, nothing. My child has tried harming herself and had to be put in therapy because of the bullying she has received at this school! I am fed up.
