I thought it was odd that school opened up this year, yet three office staff members were on quarantine. They don't care about anything and were probably in there without masks, fingers in their noses, in their mouths, spreading their nasty germs all over that office. Against my better judgment I called to try and get my daughter back into "brick and mortar" classes because the online instruction is not working out. She is falling behind and I work full-time, so I haven't been as involved as I should be. I called yesterday and a Maria, someone or other, told me "You can't bring her back to school. We closed that option THREE WEEKS AGO. If you have any other questions call the superintendent David", and she gave me a number. I thought, that's weird, school started three weeks ago, and I didn't get a notice about making a ride or die option. I called the number she gave me, and the receptionist at the superintendent's office was confused. She said it was up to Spoto to either let kids back in or not, depending on availability. Which is reasonable. TODAY a mass email went out by the principle saying "The declaration of intent for elearning and brick and mortar is now closed". So, that hoe bag lied to me yesterday. Thank you Maria/Sandra/Juanita/I don't remember your name, for showing me how sorry Spoto High School is. I read some stuff online about Spoto, but thought, maybe it changed. Nah, still the same cutting corners, cheating, crocked ass administration. She's already lying and school just started. LMAO.

As a former teacher and substitute teacher I must say that I am not impressed with this school…read more Beginning with the very disorganized new student orientation right down to the lack of information on their website. The greatest amount of information is devoted to fundraising activities. The designers of the physical plant created a building more fortress-like than school-like. The classrooms, the office, the computer lab, and the media center are all undersized and the whole building is claustrophobic. The playground and field are too small for the population. Perhaps the worst part is the location on a very busy street between two businesses. The parking lot is cramped. Since there is no transportation provided, all students must be picked up in the afternoon making the car line a nightmare while leaving the campus is extremely inhibited because of traffic. The only light in this scenario is the gentleman who directs traffic into and out of the campus. He does a wonderful job. The rules at the academy are arbitrary and lack common sense. For example; when it is raining parents must park and collect their children from the cafeteria where they are being held. On dry days if a parent happens to be a couple of minutes late and doesn't make it "behind the gate" even though the car line is not finished, they are required to park and proceed to the crowded office where their children are then summoned from the cafeteria. This exchange could be accomplished the same way as for rainy days, but that wouldn't punish parents enough for not making it behind the gate apparently. I find that much of the staff is aloof and unfriendly and a large percentage have little experience. I would not recommend this school to anyone.

After a 3…read moreyear run with this Academy, I cannot in good faith recommend this Charter School to any child, or parent that cares about a well run Administration that aren't afraid of the parent's that take over the parking lot like a bunch of Nascar fool's. This school has definitely got issue's when it comes to their drop off and pick up procedures. Maybe they could recruit Chick-filA employees to better run that drop off line. It's a joke. The parent's driving should be held accountable for their bad driving, speeding thru the crosswalks, getting out of their cars and dressing their children blocking the lines, stopping in the 1st lane halfway between buildings to let their kid out, then expect someone to just let them cross over 2 more lanes to leave. They do what they want. I can't support a school, when they clearly cannot grasp the concept of Drop off and Pick up. I've moved my children to another school.

We ask that you evaluate this teacher's attitude when she is in class with the students. The manner in which she speaks to them radiates frustration and anger, I don't speak to my children in the tone she does and they certainly don't deserve it from their teacher. These are very young children and some fragile, as such they shouldn't be berated for simple errors. We are all playing a part in shaping their futures and her toxic attitude does not help shape them in a positive manner. Take a moment and listen in on her lessons and you'll plainly notice that she's not in the right profession.

Fantastic School!!! Daughter has been going there since 6th grade, she currently is in 10th Grade…read more The teacher student ratio is excellent and she gets alot of 1 on 1. The school has made my daughter go from below level in Elementary school to honor roll. The teachers know the students extremely well and that helps with in today's society of threats as the school is a smaller private school. I would recommend this school to anyone wanting a school from 6th to 12th and their child has a IEP and needs extra help than what the public school provides. The owner is involved in the school and frequently visits. When a parent has any concern he quickly addresses them with the parent.

If your kids have an IEP, 504 plan or maybe just need something a little less Conventional than public school check this place out. I find that unacceptable . she should be fired. My grandson did nothing to warrant getting kicked out of school.
