I have been to quite a few doctors during this ordeal and not one has come close to providing the care Dr. Pathare has given me. His excellent bedside manner has allowed me to feel very comfortable discussing my symptoms and creating a plan with him to alleviate my neck and back pain. I even switched my insurance plan to make sure I am able to continue seeing him after my no-fault insurance has been exhausted! His staff is just as wonderful! They are extremely accommodating, organized and empathetic. They are truly a pleasure to deal with which is so hard to find these days. I'd also like to point that prior to coming to his office, I went to see a different physician in the same specialty that I was referred to by my attorney. I did not see the attending until the end of my appointment. That office had a dozen residents, PA's, and nurses, seeing the patients to report back. When I make a doctor's appointment, I want to see the doctor I am scheduled to see. At Advanced Spine Care, you see the doctor you made an appointment without having to see other healthcare professionals nor a need to repeat your history several times. The people in front are really fantastic - they helped me a lot with my insurance company- and are always nice and knowledgeable. The Physical Therapists are great, and recently made an adjustment to my therapy plan that really helped out. Again; knowledgeable and eager to help you get better. They will push you to help yourself :) My knee is feeling stronger every day, and the pain is getting reduced little by little. The sheer level of incompetence displayed by the staff of iOrtho is so unbearable, that I decided that I will go elsewhere. Dr. Desir is a competent, educated, and caring physician who tries to help with a smile. The personnel on the 2nd floor are GOLD STARS. Everyone is super friendly, polite, caring, and wonderful individuals. The personnel on the "C" level are exact polar opposites. Unfortunately, I had a form I needed to be filled out and was told it would be gratis. The "communications manager" who is a seriously non-friendly person told me it was $25 and takes 7-10 days. 7-10 days? For what? To sign and date a form and print medical history? Eh, I thought and paid it, this was 7-7-22. Fast forward to today, 7-18-22, the form was not only not filled out, but was not even started until I raised the issue of just why it was taking so long. I was told 30 mins to wait. I left and came back and still it's not ready. At this point, I just could not take this level of incompetence any longer. I charged in and just wanted my form back. The person was scanning and I told them to stop and give me my form and my $25 back. I finally got my form and to my horror, all they did was fill out the name, address, and license # of the doctor and print a double-sided history form. If you absolutely must see the terrific doctors, DO NOT go to the iOrtho in Staten Island, they are incompetent. EDIT: 7/21/2022: In retrospect, I should have given a piece of my mind to the communications manager in private for dragging her feet over a simple form. I find it absolutely amusing that you have the audacity to attack me over reviews I posted when your business has received dozens of negative and very harsh reviews. Pot calling the kettle??? She is not one of the doctors who sees a patient for five minutes and then rushes them out the door. She really takes her time to listen to her patient's concerns, to double check things for herself in addition to going over test results with the patient in person. This leads to the only dilemma of the office, all the doctors are like that so if you expect a quick wait you will be disappointed. Schedule a visit on a day when you don't have work because you will be waiting between one and two hours after your original appointment time. This is because she as well as the other two doctors here really take the time with their patients. Trust me, it is worth the wait.
