From the moment I walked in, their tone was cold, dismissive, and at times outright rude. Simple questions were met with visible annoyance, and there was little to no effort to be helpful or even polite. It made an already stressful situation feel even more uncomfortable. That said, once I got past the front desk, my experience completely changed. The PA and the technician in the back were absolutely wonderful--kind, friendly, and professional. They took the time to listen, made me feel at ease, and provided great care. It's unfortunate that the first point of contact left such a negative impression, because the clinical staff truly deserve recognition for the positive experience they provide. She is our go to dermatologist for all our family needs from acne for my teenage sons, to skin cancer removal and prevention to cosmetic treatments. So different than many doctors these days, I actually feel as though she is a trusted knowledgeable advisor that is really looking out for our best interest. Even when I have an appointment with another member of her staff for a follow up or cosmetic procedure, she always pops in to say hello or check up on how things are going. It is located in an office building compound in Reston. There are two treatment rooms and a waiting area + checkout counter. Bathroom is outside the door but is maintained well and clean whenever I am there. They also have some skincare products for sale. The owner Venera is always patient to answer all my questions and concerns I have. Their extractions are top notch and I always leave the clinic with clean pores and glowy skin. I religiously take care of my skin at home so this is a monthly treat. I normally ask for microdermabrasion along with hydrafacial. Price is reasonable if you buy package deal. The only thing I wish they do differently is to cleanse the face with makeup remover gel/lotion of some sort before going straight for hydrafacial device. It seems a lot of people go there for laser hair removal too. I plan to try that one day.

The entire staff is professional, thorough, knowledgeable, cheerful, and genuinely respectful of patients' dignity. Dr. Sebastien is all of that plus exceptionally warm and personable. He explains every treatment option clearly, answers questions patiently and completely, and is refreshingly candid about effectiveness, risks, and potential scarring. I went in for a full-body examination with a suspected skin cancer. A biopsy was performed immediately and painlessly, and I spent less than an hour in the office--with virtually no waiting. Four days later, the office called to ask when I had time to talk, and Dr. Sebastien personally explained my results and treatment options. I was able to schedule Mohs surgery within the following week. It started to grow in size and had become flaky and painful. My welcome by Clear Dermotology reception was terrible. I arrive to the office, as I'm waiting to check in my phone rings. It's Clear Dermotology's receptionist! She was calling to remind me of there late policy! She stated that if I do not arrive in the next few minutes she was going to charge me. For starters, I was not late and I was standing at check in! How embarrassing for her! I was seen by Dr. Z. He did not make me feel at ease at all. He seemed distracted and it was clear I didn't have his full attention. He looked at my lesion and suggested a biopsy and I agreed. Despite being given lanocaine (topical & injected) the procedure was very painful! I stated that it hurts but he kept cutting. Later, I asked if there was a medicine or ointment I could use if in case the lesion returned. He only suggested petroleum jelly/aquafor. I left feeling very disappointed and in pain. It was later reviled that the lesion was benign. I felt like I didn't get any resolution or advice on how to treat this lesion. It was a waste of my time. About a month later, I healed but the lesion was showing signs of its return. I had no idea what to do so I decided it was something I'll have to live with and to just get used to it despite how bad it felt. In July 2025, I noticed a weird skin growth on my forehead. In fear of possiblly experiencing another painful biopsy I made an appointment with another dermotologist. I went to this new doctor and my visit was wonderful! She addressed the skin growth I originally booked the appointment for but showed major concern with the lesion I previously had biopsied. She wanted to biopsy it again and I agreed. The whole procedure was easy and painless! Two days later, I received a call that the lesion was pre-cancerous! Thank goodness I went to another dermatologist! I'm now scheduled to get rid of this lesion once and for all. No thanks to Clear Dermotology!
