Park : #2/50 My goal…read morefor now til the end of the year is to review 50 parks. We frequent new parks and I hate when I can't find any updated photos for them so that's how I started my instagram @thatabcsquad to share. And now I'd like to contribute to Yelp as well. I have been eyeing this park for a while now and finally got the catch to venture up north! It's so beautiful and clean and very well thought out. - shaded parking structure - very clean restrooms - lots of grassy space - picnic tables that are fully covered (able to reserve) - baseball field - basketball courts - tennis/pickleball courts - bigger and smaller playground - ant hill to climb and slide - butterfly climbing structure - (pro/con) - wood chips What more could you ask for? Only downside would be the playground itself isn't very shaded so on hot days, it'll be rough! Highly recommend to check out if you're in the area! . Also very close to many shopping plazas! And the janss marketplace mall!

I had to come home from Havasu to see my babies, and I took them here for a day at the park…read more This was a lovely park, and my kids loved it right away. There's a lot of space for them to ride their scooters; the playground itself is big and beautiful with multiple slides and great flower theming. The best part, though, is the ant hill that they build into the park. My kids love it because it is a literal hill that you use cardboard boxes to slide down. This was the highlight for them, and they spent most of their time just sliding down and having a blast with cardboard boxes. I live in North Hollywood, so this was a drive, but it was worth it so that my kids could have a blast, which they did. This park is at the top of our list!

Upon arrival, I came across a couple of people that just finished. They pointed me to the first hole which is right off the street but it's not well marked, except for the short cement launchpad. I've never seen them so short, but still, I'm glad they have them. This is a 12 hole disc golf course. Some holes aren't marked at all. Fortunately, I was able to ask a couple of friendly locals for help and I used an app called UDisc. Even then, I searched for a while to find several launch pads because they weren't marked. One hole had no launch pad at all, just a bent yellow marking pole. You'll need a good imagination to figure out where you should launch your disc from that one. I'm pretty sure the disc golf course is maintained by volunteers so I think they've done a terrific job laying out a great disc golf course and maintaining it as best as they can. Some of the drives are from on top of high hills that will give you chance at some really sweet, floaty drives and you get a great view to go with it. You'll get some decent cardio in walking amongst the hills. Bring a decent pair of shoes for trekking the hills. Unfortunately, there are some signs of vandalism here and there which is a total shame. Didn't expect to see that in Simi Valley. The weeds and brush aren't thick in the hilly part so losing a disc or having trouble locating it is highly unlikely on this course. Also, there's aren't too many trees to hinder your drives or approach shots. It plays pretty well. If you're a seasoned player you'll have plenty of opportunities for birdies and maybe even an ace! There's a nice big grass field to get some practice throws in before you start your round. FYI, there are no restrooms, so keep that in mind. It was a great experience. Definitely worth checking out if you're into disc golf.

The space where the athletes have to play, the bathrooms are ATROCIOUS and there is very limited seating. The audacity to charge $15 for no seats, filth as soon as you walk through the door and hot Cheetos is laughable. And like many other youth sports complexes, you pay to enter BUT you don't even have anywhere to sit, the floors are dangerous (not swept OR mopped) so the kids fall and the restrooms are unsanitary. There's not a cleaning person or team in sight. Not even the owner attempts to clean. And the safety and cleanliness is solely on the owner but the sports organizations that rents out these facilities because they don't hold the venue/owner responsible but they'll take your money!
