On the 16/05/2015 me and my girlfriend - Lauren were on a usual night out, we decided to go to JJ…read moreWhispers. Everything appeared to be fine until I visited the toilets. Whilst in the toilets around 00:30 I came out to find a bouncer with Lauren waiting for me to come out, so that he could kick us out (he was extremely unprofessional using a derogatory term referring to Lauren as "Bird" and "Chick"). The reason for kicking us out was because my girlfriend reacted to a man sexually assaulting her. Not only does the club not seem to take sexual assault seriously, by what we witnessed last night JJ Whispers seem to encourage and cater to those committing it. They essentially removed us from the building to allow this man to continue his predatory behaviour. He took us outside and would not give us an explanation to why he kicked us out, after speaking to the bouncer for a little while he became aggressive after I swore (If the bouncer gets so easily offended by swear words - not even directed at him. I suggest he retires), after this he thrust his fingers into my face, I asked for his ID number that all registered bouncers wear as a compulsory part of their uniform, however he refused to show me this ID and kept turning so that I could not see it. Then due to not feeling safe around the bouncer I decided I would start recording the incident, this is when a new bouncer came out and became aggressive and threatened me, as I was moving back from the bouncer he attempted to grab hold of my phone hitting my hand. After this I phoned the police to report the incident. All in all, we felt unsafe from both the people in the club and the bouncers there to protect us. I would recommend avoiding this establishment at all costs.

Rude. Before we could speak to the lady to plan our order a man ( who I assume was the manager) said it was too late and to leave the table, never going there again rip off

The straightforward no-nonsense name of this shop and the 'national' aspect of it, makes me think…read moreof Soviet Russia. I can imagine there were many shops in Soviet Russia with similar names, where only 1 uniform for each sex was on sale (in tokens of some sort) and maybe a large, ridiculously heavy, old school medicine ball was on display. Well this shop isn't quite as bleak as that,. Though I'm sure for the kids who have to go there, the oppressive atmosphere (being with yer mum, buying school clothes!) and the impending sense of doom (of having to return to school) is similar that of living in Stalin's state. This shop is just really practical and will provide you with all the uniforms and dance shoes a young person could have forced upon them.

If I was a child, had a child, saw a child in the street, or just knew what the word child meant, I…read morewould definitely go to the National Schoolwear Centre in Hove. These are the sort of shops that only appeal to school attendees, and I use the word appeal in the loosest of definitions. Specialising in school wear from PE pumps to full on uniforms, I remember going to places like this as a kid and getting aches in the back of my knees. I still get this achy feeling when I occasionally go shopping with my mother, or spend too long in a library, but I am missing the point. - "Got a kid?" - "Yes" - "Need school clothes?" - "Yes" - "Then go to the National Schoolwear Centre in Hove. Where dreams become memories: guranteed" - "Okay" - "Are you still here?!"
