I visit most places of the WAC locations but I think the greenfield location has the most amenities…read morethat I'm looking for in a gym. Besides the friendly front desk and on-site masseuse, I love having the option of the outdoor running/ walking track and the outdoor pool during the summer months. This location still has an indoor pool, hot tub, steam room and sauna as well. Of course hand towels and bath towels are complimentary and the locker rooms are clean & I have zero complaints with the lockers themselves. There is a variety of fitness classes offered throughout the week and plenty of equipment to use for both cardio and strength training. Early mornings I can relax for a few minutes before a spin class with a cup of coffee in the seating area. Personal trainers, premium classes and childcare services are also offered. The WAC apps allow for a quick and easy check in to the club as well as for classes signed up for through the app (at any of their locations). Having been a member here for a number of years, I appreciate the number of amenities and the flexibility to use the different locations. The pricing seems fair for what I get and how well maintained the equipment and overall facilities are, plus the variety of classes I get to choose from.

Everyone is kind, they have built a wonderful community at each rotation, and everyone truly cares. It is for sure my happy place!

The good parts: Great place for the kids to take classes…read more Nice big pool, two nice size gyms (four full size basketball courts). The bad side: you can't play basketball with the kids, because the adult games don't care about kids and will run them over without thinking twice. If the kids aren't in a class, not a whole lot they can do. The fix: make the upper gym for families and kids. The downstairs for adult pickup basketball games.

My complaint is with the preschool portion of this YMCA branch. My daughter has been going to Y…read moreclasses for the past few years and we were excited when we heard there was a preschool & that the new teacher was great. We signed her up for the 25/26 school year and she has been flourishing, making friends, and learning Spanish under the supervision & support of her teacher. This past Friday, we walked into what I can only describe as the most unprofessional & shocking incident. The teacher was no longer employed there and the management was extremely rude and disrespectful. Not to mention there's literally one week of school left....and now the kids cannot graduate with the teacher they have been with since the beginning. I don't understand how the management, Chris Ardent and Hope Delaney, can do something so harmful to our children especially when they decided to do this all on a school day when we were all there to witness the mess they created. They said they were always thinking of the children but then why would they pick a school day to let their teacher go in front of them? Totally unprofessional. I am heartbroken and shocked that this "faith based" organization would do something so hurtful . I'd also like to mention that Chris Ardent stated he would be available to sit down with us parents but he was conveniently at a golf outing.... Needless to say, An email will be sent to Katy Groh who is the executive director of the Southwest YMCA. The way this was handled should never have happened in front of our children. We expect a faith based organization to conduct themselves in a better manner.

After baby #1 I tried to get back into my work out routine line nothing happened and ended up in a world of hurt. For baby #2 I signed up for the "From the Core" program and glad I did. I was amazed at the difference I saw in strength in just 5 weeks and how it effected even small things like my posture and overall comfort. It was great to have a reason to get out of the house and to meet other mom's with baby's around my age. Hands down the best thing I did for myself after having my second child.

I took Coach Cassandra's Post Natal Core Recovery Class this Fall/Winter and am so incredibly glad…read morethat I did. I enjoyed strengthening my core and whole body without working out too aggressively and risking injury post-baby. You learn a variety of exercises during each class and all of them can be scaled and done at home - you get print outs with all of the exercises. Coach C is awesome, very motivating and has a wealth of knowledge and expertise about fitness, nutrition and overall wellbeing. It was reassuring to workout under her guidance as she provided helpful tips to correct form and posture. There really isn't anything that compares to this class if you want to get stronger and more fit after giving birth.
