I've been to this swimming pool a few times. It is clean, well equipped with both fun and relaxing areas. The first time I went to this pool was with some friends of mine - an American girl that was engaged to a German. It was a cold wintery night, although there was no snow on the ground (which I think makes it feel colder). We got there a little later than we had originally expected, but to our surprise, due to our tardiness we got the super super cheap deal (around 2 euros for about 2.5 hours of swimming pleasure).
The women's locker room was large, clean, and had many private areas that allow you to change in and out of your bathing suit. The showering areas were also up to the same clean and large standards. The pool area gave way to a pretty awesome slide, and although the water was a bit chilly on the slide (as parts of it jet outside), it was quite a thrilling and enjoyable ride.
However, the slide aside, the coolest (but ironically warm) place in the whole area was the outdoor pool! This pool was heated to perfection, it was in the shape of a circle - also had a "lazy river" in the middle - and was probably the most fun part of my experience there. In the states we would never have outdoor pools open in the winter, unless for personal use (i.e. personal pools or hot tubs).
Michaelibad also sports a steam room and tanning bed. I did not use the tanning bed as it costs extra. The steam room was nice... Although it turned out to be relatively crowded when we entered.
It was a pleasant experience, and if I lived closer to the Michaelibad I would definitely be going there more often. read more
