I initially had a great experience with Jaime Langer and genuinely believe she has strong design…read moreskills. However, my overall experience with her ended in deep disappointment and frustration. If you choose to work with her, do not let her refer you to Hummingbird HRD (Crystal and Brian Mansanares), as that is where everything unraveled. Jaime first helped me after a Christmas morning plumbing disaster, and at the outset, she was fantastic--quick to respond, knowledgeable, and actively engaged in creating thoughtful layouts. Because things seemed to be going well, we also hired her for additional design work in our kitchen and living room. But when she referred us to Hummingbird as the general contractor, she stepped away entirely, leaving us in the hands of an inexperienced team that led to an overpriced, incomplete, and poorly executed renovation. Where Things Went Wrong Jaime and Crystal turned out to be personal friends rather than longtime collaborators, and our home was essentially a "guinea pig project"--a fact Jaime admitted only after things had gone terribly wrong. The staggering lack of professionalism from Hummingbird resulted in months of stress, wasted money, and a home that remains unfinished to this day. After Crystal declared the project "done" (despite glaringly poor workmanship), I asked Jaime to see the state of things herself. She agreed with me that the quality was unacceptable and even apologized for how badly things had turned out. She admitted that Crystal lacked the necessary experience and recognized that we had been unintentionally used as a test project. To make matters worse, she also told me, "Wow, I didn't realize you were so detail-oriented--I would feel exactly the same." As if they thought they could get away with subpar work and I wouldn't notice--truly insulting. Jaime's Final Disappointing Choice To her credit, Jaime convinced Crystal and Brian to attempt to fix their mess, but she ultimately abandoned the project. Despite personally acknowledging all the flaws, she later sent me a completely contradictory statement: "I have every faith in Hummingbird completing the project as promised, and overall, I believe they have done an exceptional job." This project was supposed to take 4-6 weeks starting in March--it was still dragging on in November, at which point I cut ties entirely because it was no longer worth the emotional toll. To this day, our home remains unfinished and cheap-looking, a painful reminder of the stress and financial loss we endured. What We Actually Got for Jaime's Fees After paying her design fees for both the bathroom and kitchen/living room, all we truly received was: * Layout options * A recommendation for Hummingbird (which proved disastrous) * Help selecting a kitchen table and rug Had we gone with a different general contractor, I might be writing a glowing five-star review. Unfortunately, given how this played out, I cannot recommend Jaime Langer at all.

I moved to Denver about a year ago, and for the first 2 months only had an air mattress. I don't know the first thing about interior design and needed help to make my place feel like a home. Both Elizabeth and Adriele worked with me from the planning, sourcing, and staging phases. They were incredibly professional, timely with their responses, and very patient as it took time for me to make final decision. They never rushed me and were super understanding. From a technical standpoint, my space was tricky because I live in a 490 sq ft studio. It can be real hard trying to find pieces that maximize functionality, storage, and aesthetics. I am happy to report that they managed to do all of those things, and then some. Whenever I move, they will be my first call. I can't recommend them enough.

Feeling unlucky and ready to give up, we were pointed to the direction of this modern, millennial artistic entrance. We originally passed this shop, with assumptions of indifferent staff, selling cosmopolitan-anything and us feeling broke, we kept on going. Well three times the charm, our unenthusiastic attitude quickly shifted a 180 just by walking in! First, it was these air plants on a fridge magnet with fun little quotes that drawn us in. They were $28.00, which Nick and I considered buying it. However, looking around, the staff recommended to us a unique gift, for pulling herbs and PERFECT for a green thumb, gardener! We were thrilled to finally end our Christmas shopping quest, because Cherry Creek North seemed to only cater indoor living, and crafts. But, what happens when you're shoppin' for a very talented, artsy, and imaginative MIL?? She always makes her own napkins, her own pottery. Everything seems to be handmade from her! Our gift was completely homespun, wonderful, and Revampt even honored a Yelp discount for %15 off! We purchased an air plant for my sister as well and their gift wrapping is incredibly eco friendly and very cute!

Duet's design recommendations were poor and didn't fit with the style we had clearly communicated to their team. Duet was unwilling to make any modifications to their design plan to meet our needs. My wife and I went as far as doing our own online research to explain the type of aesthetic we were looking for with examples of coloring, furniture products, and providing piles of magazine clippings. Yet, they kept coming back to the same colors and products that we clearly stated we didn't like. At one point, they even presented us with the actual product from one of our examples, rather than using the information as a guide to our style - WOW. They were so off the mark, and seemed much more about what they wanted, rather than what we wanted. All Duet had to do was listen a little and they probably would have been a little more successful. Besides the beautiful interior they created for my family, my favorite part of working with Duet is how organized they are.
