History
Established in 1996.
Our Founder and CEO, Susan Wainscott, is an educator by profession with over 25 years of swim teaching experience. As an elementary school teacher with a backyard pool and long summer vacation, she started what became the Swimtastic program in 1996 in Waukesha, Wisconsin.
As word spread among parents and demand for classes grew, Susan sought space at local colleges and health clubs with larger pools and additional teachers.
In 2015, Swimtastic Swim School combined with SafeSplash Swim School to create a network of swim schools across the nation. SafeSplash shares the core values of Swimtastic such as warm water pools, professional teachers, and high quality lessons. In addition to dedicated facilities, SafeSplash & Swimtastic have partnered with national fitness facilities including L.A. Fitness, City Sports Club, and 24 Hour Fitness, making it likely to find our exceptional services conveniently close to you.
