Life Time Fitness is a huge lifestyle gym and health center in Beachwood. It can't even be compared…read moreto any local gym, it's far superior. During my initial visit my tour guide referred to it being like a county club. Right on - upscale and relaxing vacay vibes. I have only remained a member for a few months due to life events and health circumstances. I was always very enthusiastic about visiting Life Time! AMENITIES: The club is very clean and every part of the experience is well designed. Everything you need is there. For instance, you'll get all toiletries and towels for your shower or sauna visits. The club well serves a variety of guest groups catering to their unique needs. Parents can use childcare service. Millennials can utilize pickleball courts. Retired folks can partake in a fun Arora aquatic program. There are numerous amenities: full salon, cafe, co-working cafe, indoor and outdoor pools, sauna, steam room, pickleball courts, rock climbing, Pilates studio, personal training, yoga studio, chiropractor, cold plunge, outdoor bar, indoor and outdoor hot tubs, workout area, cryo, and a lot more. You almost need a lifetime to explore them all! It was an immediate "yes" for me in terms of joining. The gym is very spacious, you never feel constrained at any times of the day. My favorite amenities are the outdoor pool and Club Lounge (co-working space). The outdoor pool is Olympic size pool with comfy lounge chairs and lounges. There is zero entry part and swimming lanes. Robust Arora program (open to any ages) offers fun water aerobics activities. The classes are so high energy! The pool was even open into October this year. Loved the pool! Co-working space offered me a lot of flexibility working from the gym and taking a break to enjoy the amenities. The internet speed is excellent! CLASSES: Classes can be conveniently accessed via Life Time mobile application. Sign-up is easy. Timings are suitable for various schedules. EVENTS: Life Time hosts plenty of events for members creating a communal feel - karaoke, swim nights, and even tequila tasting. Some feature a DJ and cool decor. While most events are free, you'll pay for drinks. PRICING: Prices match the amenities. I paid almost $200 per month for a single membership. Not everything is included in your membership (Pilates for instance), but most things are. You get some discounts (such as the salon, the cafe, and personal training) during your first month. It's definitely a pricey investment but also self-investment. CANCELLATIONS: Membership cancellation is very easy. I was able to cancel my membership via the app. I was sad to cancel my membership but life is lifing. You also have an option to pause your membership and partake in online workouts. DOWNSIDES: To be honest in my review, few issues exist at Life Time: - Concierges are not always pleasant. I had this experience, my guest did, and other members mentioned it to me too. The service is very dismissive. You will constantly get referred to the app, attentiveness is rarely a thing. - Cafe prices are outrageous and far higher than at any other health cafes. I recently paid over $40 for a power bowl (Shoyu-Sesame), protein balls, and a smoothie (Açaí Bliss). It's convenient to have a cafe onsite, but prices are wild for the portions and mediocre quality. - Open hours for the amenities are ever changing and unclear. It's hard to figure out when the pools are open or when cafe outdoors is available. Employees I've asked about the open hours were equally puzzled. This doesn't well serve busy individuals with demanding schedules and need to pre-plan. - The parking lot is very dim at night. While the area feels extremely safe, it's still not the best time in the evening. - Onboarding process is rather chaotic. I found myself asking basic questions about creating a pass card, locker use, open hours, and sign-up processes. I was constantly referred to the app which didn't have most of these answers. Overall, I truly enjoyed the amenities at Life Time. I will definitely rejoin when my personal circumstances change. I highly recommend dropping in for a day pass to experience Life Time or formally joining. You won't find a better gym around!

My three year old son attended lessons at this location from November 2024 - February 2025. I would…read moresay our experience was very positive until an incident that caused me to cancel our enrollment. A family friend took my son to his lesson and his usual instructor (who we loved and who did an amazing job with my son) was not present. Instead an instructor who we had only seen one other time, the prior week, was scheduled for his lesson. It would have been nice to have been notified of this change but nonetheless, the lesson started. I received a call from my friend near the end of the lesson to tell me that my son had fallen jumping into the pool and hit his head. My friend also mentioned that it was a different instructor than our regular teacher and that the instructor had been socializing during the lesson with another instructor, while my son sat poolside and did nothing. He told me that the instructor treated the fall very casually and refused to provide him with an incident report or anything documenting what happened. My friend asked to speak to a manager but there wasn't one on site and no one was available by phone. He then asked for the name of the manager and owner and was told that one of those people would contact me to discuss the incident. It's been several days and no one has reached out to me. My kiddo is luckily ok, but I certainly lost any confidence in that teacher being able to keep him safe and more importantly (because accidents happen) responding in a caring and considerate way when something does occur. Coupled with the fact that no one from the facility contacted me, I cancelled our enrollment and decided to share our experience for the benefit of other families looking for swim lessons. I hope Liquid Lifestyles reconsiders its current incident response protocols and provides some training to their teachers on the appropriate way to handle accidents. A reminder that parents pay for their kids to actively be learning during a lesson (not sitting by while teachers chat) couldn't hurt either.

-5 stars if possible…read more I go to Reminderville Athletic Club Pool to swim and lately the pool has been absolutely horrendous. You can tell the pool chemistry is off. I come out of the pool itchy and eyes burning. 2 weeks ago I went to see my doctor for a strange rash I had and my doctor confirmed it was a chemical burn / rash from high chlorine. I've also noticed a group of young men and women who teach swim lessons there from and outside swim school I believe, and they look miserable in there while teaching. They are shivering, wearing blankets and over sized snuggies, and hats to just keep them warm. Some of the parents who kids take those lesson I've overheard coming out of there that it's too cold. The air in the pool area is absolutely freezing and unbearable for myself to be in much less these children and those young men's and women who teach swim lessons out of this recreation center. It is winter time, and as an indoor pool patrons expect to swim in better conditions. Not feel like we are swimming in a lake outside during the middle of winter. The staff is rude. I have a past with pool and worked them for over 20 years. I am appalled by this. This needs to be looked at IMMEDIATELY. Not just one day but over the course of a couple different days during different staffing because it seems to vary. There is mold everywhere in that pool and it is DIRTY. This pool area should be shut down.

I have strongly mixed feelings about this place…read more On the one hand, their second floor has an indoor track that's nicely situation near the slam balls, TRX rigs, pull-up bars, kettlebells, plyo boxes, and the heavy duty free weights. This makes it really easy to do a track circuit with some other functional fitness training mixed it. That's great for general conditioning and all sorts of athletic training. Speaking of which, they have some really great equipment on that floor. A lot of heavy slam balls, which is a rarity at most gyms. They have bumper plates and some deadlifting and squat stations, which is also uncommon -- especially at community center-style gyms. Only one bench press station, but it doesn't seem to be heavily used. They also have a small 24/7 fitness area. You wouldn't have access to the pool, the track, or the aforementioned heavy duty equipment on the second floor, but it's still kinda convenient. On the other hand, they have some ridiculous rules regarding track usage. The outermost lane is reserved for "jogging" (not running!) which is bizarre. Their signage also says that their track is for fitness use only, so no sprinting or speedwork is allowed. (News flash: Sprinting and speedwork *are* examples of fitness usage, and they're among the best training methods available. I've never seen any other place that disallowed these, and they aren't a problem unless people act recklessly.) Speaking of recklessness, a lot of the walkers totally ignore the signs which state that the outermost lane is for joggers only. This is admittedly a common problem at most community centers with indoor tracks, but it is a major annoyance. Their hours are very restrictive. They're only open until 8:30 pm (!!!) on weekdays and they close at 7pm on weekends. This makes it difficult to do a long track workout after work, among other things. (Again, recall that their 24/7 area does not include the track, the pool, or the better strength-training area.) Finally, WHY ISN'T THERE ANY HOT WATER in this building? This makes showering during wintertime a serious chore. So this place has a lot to offer, but some serious problems as well. I am honestly not sure how I feel about it. I do know that I will probably only sign up for limited periods now and then.
