The swim instuctors have taken the time to get to know my son. They know what motivates him. They have used their knowledge base and taught my son comfort in the water. I immediately got my family out, but shockingly, they continued children's swimming lessons in that same pool, exposing everyone to potential infections and harmful bacteria like E. coli. I was very surprised, as the staff usually reacts strongly to smaller issues. For example, when I first signed up, one of the female staff members, a very thin brunette, aggressively and disrespectfully yelled at my family and another woman with her daughter over a simple mistake--we brought a floaty, unaware it wasn't allowed. We aren't allowed to use noodles or dive with goggles unless we're paying for swimming lessons. How does that make sense? While some staff members are nice, others act like we're uninvited, unwelcome guests in their house, enforcing unnecessary and unreasonable rules in a rude and bossy manner. This is the first pool I've ever been to where noodles are banned, but apparently, swimming with dead birds is okay. I gave 2 stars because the pool is really beautiful and the water is often warm and pleasant. Too bad for everything else.

We have had a great experience…read more From my first call to inquiry about classes the staff has always been very helpful. I registered two of my kids over the phone not knowing what to expect. The facility has a great layout. There are lots of changing rooms and bathrooms - we never have to wait. Plus an area to dry your kids hair. You sit in the waiting area until your child's time is called and then walk them to their lane. The glass window is great to see their progress but not interrupt their time in the pool. After their lesson they can shower in the main room so the kids don't get cold going to another area. They even provide shampoo. Classes can be cancelled in advance and credit given for a make up. Make ups are easy to schedule and can be done online. Trainers are also energetic and great with the kids!

Out of nowhere, she demanded to see our Lakewood ID, which we didn't have this one time, and turned us away like we were trying to sneak in. There was no large sign visible enough to see this policy -- just a sudden change in attitude from someone who didn't even know us or our family. What made it worse was the way she looked at us: we are a brown family, and the look said it all. We felt singled out, judged, and completely unwelcome in a place we've supported every single day. Even worse? We watched as white families came in right before and after us, and not one of them was asked to show an ID. Not one. Just us. If you have rules, enforce them fairly for everyone -- don't pick and choose who gets questioned based on how they look. This lack of consistency, courtesy, and basic respect ruined what should have been another fun day for our family. We'll be taking our money and our time to a place that treats all paying families with fairness and dignity -- no matter what we look like.

My daughter loved it here... However, the place offers 30 minute lessons, but they cut it off three…read moreminutes before hand. They do this in order to squeeze the next class in right at the time that the first class ended. For example, if a class starts at 1:30 and goes till 2:00, they will cut it off at 1:27 or 1:26 in order to get the 2 o'clock class in on time. Considering it is $160 for mini 3 lessons, it's about two dollars per minute. so this place is basically taking six dollars and throwing it in the shredder. Does this make sense? This place is a money mine. They are way overpriced than any other Swim School I have ever seen.
