I have only ever bought tennis equipment here so can't speak to other sections of the store.
I bought a Prince tennis racket here and took it to club training that evening. During some match play (about an hour into using the racket) one of the new strings snapped, which was pretty annoying. I took the racket back to the shop, and they were incredulous and suggested that I was misusing the racket. After a bit of arguing, they agreed to restring the racket for free. I was surprised how much effort it took to make this happen. I then returned to the courts a few days later, and once again I played a normal (if slightly flat and hard) forehand and the string snapped again. At this point I was getting very frustrated with the racket, and I went back to the store. I was accused of deliberately cutting the strings (for what purpose or benefit I don't know) and told that they would categorically not help me with my problem. After once again explaining myself and essentially refusing to leave the store, they agreed to restring my racket, but were very specific that they would not help me any more. This time the string actually lasted better (about a month) but snapped again without warning (the strings weren't very notched or anything). I took it back and was told they would restring the racket at the normal price, at which point I went back to my old racket and haven't needed to restring it for almost a year now.
My friend messaged me to say that he attempted to buy a Prince racket at this store, and they told him they had never had any problems with them, which he knew to be untrue because of my experiences. As such, myself and my friends refuse to shop here due to the terrible service I received and the fact that the store simply assumed I was randomly vandalising my own property. Totally unprofessional and unhelpful, would never shop here again and would never recommend it to anyone. read more
