I gave her the tour, showed her the cleaning products and tools, and she got to work. She asked me if she could pour bleach in the shower and I said yes. I did not hover over her, tell her how to do things or anything. A few minutes later I left the house to visit my father in the hospital, leaving my husband and his brother home. A few minutes later she texted that she needed to go buy more cleaning products. She NEVER returned! I called and texted her and got no response. We worried that maybe something terrible happened. Finally my husband called from his phone and she answered, acted flustered, and hung up on him. She never responded again. We have no idea whatsoever what made her leave. We are very pleasant, not at all demanding, and I had even told her I'm not the white glove type. She was supposed to go to a friend's house this week, and when that friend texted to confirm, the return text said that my friend's house was not the right fit for her or any of her staff. Annie never even went to my friend's house or met my friend. We are dumbfounded about this. I guess we will never know what the reason is. All of our other housekeepers have stuck with us for years. We wish she would explain so we can stop scratching our heads as to why she left us abruptly in the lurch.

I valued the service so much that I referred it to my family and neighbors in North Irvine and in Great Park, as I truly wanted others to benefit as I had. In recent months, however, I began to experience challenges. Communication became increasingly difficult, with delayed responses even after multiple follow-ups, including one instance where I waited nearly two weeks regarding an uncleaned can. I also noticed service inconsistencies, such as trash left inside after cleaning, the wrong can being serviced, and, most concerning, the return of maggots within a week of service after nearly two years without this issue. When I did eventually receive a response, I was informed there had been an issue with their water supply, but unfortunately the overall quality did not return to the same standard I had experienced previously. Throughout this time, I remained professional and polite in all communication, left positive reviews as a Yelp Elite member, and consistently recommended the service to others. Unfortunately, my account was discontinued after a third courteous follow-up regarding these concerns. It is disappointing to share this update, as I was genuinely satisfied for a long time and appreciated the effort that went into the business. However, based on my recent experience, I can no longer recommend CanCleaning.com to residents in Great Park. Several of my neighbors in Parasol Park use OC Bin Washing, and I plan to transition to their service moving forward. As a final note, I did notice a significant change in pricing for same-day service. Earlier this year, I was charged $39 for a same-day visit, whereas more recently I was quoted $200 for the same request--while comparable companies in South OC charge closer to $50. Having been on a favorable rate for two years, I do wonder if this may have contributed to the decision to discontinue my service.
