So the sign out front made the place seem pretty cool. Talking about the governor increasing tax rates with her phone number posted to call and complain. The building itself is nice, clean and well decorated. There were maybe 6 people other than myself and my guest. There were many many unused tables. Free refills on the soda which was possibly the best part of the meal. My guest ordered the prime rib meal, cooked medium and I ordered the chicken and dumpling soup and Mac and cheese. The soup came out first and it was decent, dumplings were good. The prime rib came out looking almost raw. I don't believe in sending food back to the kitchen because who know what they do to it then. The macaroni and cheese was straight out of a kraft box, granted it was of course tasty, it was upwards of 6$ where you can get a box for $1.25 at Walmart. The waitress was nice and attentive, she could only do so much given the main part of the restaurant, the food, was underwhelming to say the least. Needless to say I will not be returning to Sweeties, and judging by how few customers they had at 7pm on a Sunday, they won't be around long anyways. read more

This was our second time eating at sweeties Diner. Our servers name was Donna and she was absolutely wonderful. She knew the daily specials and was very knowledgeable as to the entire menu. Our food was fantastic that she had recommended. The atmosphere was pleasant and the place was very clean. The cook seems concerned about making sure everybody in the restaurant was happy with their meal. We did not get the Spanish Cooks name but him and Donna make a great team. We will definitely be back again and bring our family with us. read more

As you can see from most of the other reviews, this place is very hit or miss (mostly miss). And the owner is about as rude as they come. Maybe the owner should concentrate on improving his diner instead of local politics, where he is always causing some sort of drama. Just ask the Fort Pierce PD or Fort Pierce Utilities Authority.
