We absolutely love Neighbors! My husband and I are first time parents so of course that comes with…read moremany questions and concerns. From day one our provider here has been nothing but supportive, friendly and respectful of our wishes. When we are uncertain about things he takes his time to educate us and leaves us with the tools to form our own opinions and decisions. I have never once felt unheard or pressured into anything here at the clinic. I do appreciate how thorough our doctor was at the very beginning with our baby as we struggled with a few issues. Thank you everyone at the office to ensure our visits are always positive. Kudos to this remarkable team!

Before my son was born, we reached out to Neighbors Pediatrics (at the time, Plantation Pediatrics)…read moreto inquire if Dr. Traynham was accepting new patients. We were told such wonderful things about Dr. Traynham and knew we didn't need to consider anyone else. Through some miscommunication, we were told he was not accepting new patients. With weeks before my son's arrival, we had to scramble to find another pediatrician at another office in town. Once our pediatrician retired, we circled back to Neighbors Pediatrics to see if Dr. Traynham was accepting new patients this time around. The staff is friendly and does such a great job at breaking the ice with the babies and children before they even walk back to the exam room. I do like that the office is divided into two areas with well visits isolated to one side and sick visits isolated to the opposite side of the office. Dr. Traynham is exactly what you would expect from a pediatrician - professional (with the parents), lighthearted and friendly (with the babies and children), has a ton of medical knowledge, and of course, very patient. He will answer any questions you may have for him regarding your child, and you will not feel like you are being rushed or pushed out prematurely before your questions or concerns are addressed. Not only is he interested in building a relationship with your child, but he's also interested in building a long-term relationship with the parents.

He developed a horrible fever, vomited, and drank two bottles of Pedialyte. Plus, this Gigi is tired of the constant scream from Peanut. DIL got a weekend appointment, and 30 minutes later, we are here! The staff is informative and professional. I'm grateful for the extended hours for sick children.

During COVID the wait was long and the phones were busy but they never turned me away. I have had kids who needed babynet, normal visits, emergency visits and hospital visits and they have always shown up. The thing that keeps me going is that they always listen to their patients, their concerns are actually addressed and they keep Improving. I have always gotten my school records in time and same day sick apt. Yes I was billed wrong once but the billing lady fixed it. In 14 years of coming here the doctors have personally called me on off hours to make sure I got medication needed and sent to different pharmacies who had the meds or were closer to me, come to hospital to check on us and been the best.

I do not enjoy leaving negative reviews, but feel the need to mention the multiple incidents that…read moreoccurred here that made us look for another pediatrician. We were seen by Dr. Eliza Varadi, the owner of the practice. Before our daughter's first appointment at 4 days old, we filled out all of the patient paperwork. When we checked in, the front desk staff could not find our submission despite us receiving the confirmation email. The front desk staff asked us to fill it out again. Between their request and us being seen by the nurse and the doctor (while also feeding/changing our newborn), there certainly was not enough time to fill out the lengthy form in its entirety. The front desk staff member barges in (without knocking) when we are with the doctor asking if we had filled out the form yet. Turns out, they had spelled the last name incorrectly and that was why they couldn't find the submission. Beyond this example, we have generally found the front desk staff to be rude. If this was the only thing, it was annoying but not enough to prompt us to leave. In that first appointment with the doctor, we obviously had tons of questions (this is our first child). After my wife asked her questions, I chimed in and was promptly cut off by the doctor. My presence was mostly ignored, and I generally felt disrespected. In a subsequent appointment, the nurse came in first and then had us get our daughter dressed. Our baby was dressed when the doctor came in and looked at her, however she said twice before leaving, "You can get your baby dressed now". It seemed like she was not paying attention at all, or had so much on her plate that she was already mentally onto the next patient. Our daughter had slow weight gain, so we had several appointments just for weight checks. We had one appointment right at 8:30am when they opened, and waited close to an hour to be seen for what should have been a very quick appointment. The first appointment of the day shouldn't be double/triple booked! The final straw was when we had questions about vaccinations. We wanted to get all of the vaccinations, but have them spaced out by a few weeks so that she wouldn't receive all 4 in one day. The doctor told us that she wouldn't recommend it because she may contract whatever it was that she wasn't getting vaccinated against in those few weeks. She also said that they might accidentally "overvaccinate" her, or give her the same vaccinations twice. "Overvaccination" should not be an issue if you have an adequate record-keeping system. Although we didn't love this answer, we went to schedule her vaccinations at the 2 month mark. Turns out that they didn't have any appointments available until she was closer to 3 months. When we decided to find a new pediatrician and asked to have our records sent over, it took three separate follow-ups to have the records sent over. We have since found a pediatrician that doesn't make us feel rushed, kindly answers any/all of our questions and makes us feel like valued patients. Maybe our experience is not the norm, but new parents should know what they may be signing up for when they choose a doctor for their child.
