They were in a partially open state while doing renovations, which means I didn't get to try anything from their kitchen, which is kind of a shame. What they did have was a pretty decent, if pricey chia pudding. I could imagine that when they do have a running kitchen, their food might be quite nice, but since they chose to be open, I feel it fair to rate them based on what they had to offer while I was there. read more

Excellent coffee, smooth and hot. Both the double shot espresso and the skinny latte went down very well. We filled up on brunch; a lovely tasting quinoa porridge with stewed pears for me and a poached egg on toast for my man. There are about a half dozen options on the brunch menu besides the pastries on the display cabinet. There is seating outside, as well as inside in the front or the back. Here in Launceston for work and wanted to explore cafes over the weekend! Stumbled upon this cafe and thought we'd try it! It looked tiny and cosy at first glance, with outdoor seating and a few stools. But upon getting our two coffees we were directed to the seating area through the corridor. There were 2 bright cosy seating areas, roomy and decorated well! Coffee was delicious needless to stay. Really loved the coffee here and will be back here again. Popped in here on a friends recommendation and it didn't disappoint. Good coffee with s beautiful silky taste. Funky little shop with a small amount of outdoor sitting with a great atmosphere. Coffee was pricey for size but definitely comparable to mainland price and worth it for the taste. Great coffee and more. After enjoying a Magic they suggested a small equally delicious little number served in a traditional Ethiopian cup. Very nice touch. The omelette was the coffees equal, beautifully light and delicious. The variety of seating is unusual, from a quiet space inventively created from an old cool room, to a massive table large enough to share without imposing. I highly recommend a visit. read more

Tim and the guys at Sweet Brew know their stuff, and they back it up with beautiful coffee. The pastries and bread sourced from Manu bakery are exquisite. Coffee from 5 Senses of WA fame. Tim was particularly helpful with where to go in Tassie, the must-see's, must-drinks and must-eats. Great little vibe, some inoffensive drum n bass chattering along in the background gives the place a fresh and confident feel. Try the almond croissant, or if you're a bit peckish go the feta and walnut sausage roll with home made sweet tomato chutney - flaky, perfectly spiced, and with just enough creaminess to make you feel like you're having something naughty. We'll always go out of our way to visit Sweet Brew whenever we next visit Tassie. read more

We asked for an iced chocolate to which we were responded "We don't do those" in a very stand offish, too cool kinda way. Found it a little odd. The coffee is good but pricey and most of the sweets were made off site, so maybe better going next door to "Bryher" which we found better food and friendlier service. read more

Great little brunch spot in central Launceston. Coffee is solid and good food options too. Layout is unusual with there being several small rooms to choose a table in. Quirky... but this adds to the appeal. read more

This place is small but apparently has a room out the back. We opted to sit in the window which is great if you like people watching because this place is busy! It's well staffed too as they churn out coffees for those on the run. Theres a big cabinet of great looking bakery items. We had a vegetarian sandwich and almond croissant - both excellent. All our coffees were good and made with care by the friendly staff leaving us happy and ready for the day! read more
