1 star. If I could give zero stars I would…read more I have been trying since January 2026 to get a single referral from Dr. Ramakrishnan's office at First Medical Associates to Kennedy Krieger Institute -- a world-class specialty clinic less than an hour away. It is now April. The referral has still not been done correctly. Let me tell you exactly what that looked like. The process is not complicated: the PCP submits a prior authorization form to my insurance (Maryland Physicians Care), receives an authorization number, and includes that number on the referral to Kennedy Krieger. Both my insurance and Kennedy Krieger confirmed this is routine -- they do it with this exact insurance constantly. Kennedy Krieger told me directly that they have never encountered a PCP office that could not figure this out. Here is what First Medical Associates did instead: -- Sent the first referral with the wrong codes and no authorization number. -- When I called to correct it, office staff told me they did not know how to do a prior authorization for a referral. I then spent my own time calling Kennedy Kreiger and my insurance multiple times to research the process for them. -- At the office's request, I personally wrote and emailed them a detailed, step-by-step guide. I included every CPT code, every diagnosis code, the prior auth fax number, the Kennedy Kreiger fax number, the insurance portal link, and a numbered list of every step they needed to take. I did their job for them. -- They sent the referral again. Still no authorization number. Still wrong. -- A staff member left me a voicemail stating that their office "does not do prior authorizations for referrals." This is factually incorrect and directly contradicted by both my insurer and Kennedy Kreiger. -- I forwarded my instructions again. I followed up again. I called again. I was assured it would be handled correctly this time. -- Kennedy Kreiger called me on April 3, 2026 to tell me another referral arrived -- still without an authorization number. -- When I called the office that same day, a staff member told me the referral had been "successfully sent" to Kennedy Krieger and the gastroenterologist. There is no gastroenterologist involved. I had my appendix out weeks ago -- that case is closed. They confused my active EDS referral with a completely unrelated, concluded referral from a different specialty. They also told me that in the future I should have my surgeon handle this. There is no surgeon. There has never been a surgeon involved in this referral. I have spent over five to six hours of my own time doing administrative work that is the legal and professional responsibility of this office. I have been denied access to medically necessary specialty care for three months because of their repeated, compounding errors. I am filing formal complaints with the Maryland Board of Physicians and Maryland Physicians Care, and I am filing a grievance with the Maryland Insurance Administration. If you have a straightforward medical need, maybe you will be fine here. If you are a complex patient who needs care coordination, referrals, or anyone in that office to retain basic information about your case from one phone call to the next -- find another doctor. This practice is not equipped to help you. 0/10

This is insane. I questioned the charges and have been disputing but they didn't provide any proper explanations. Definitely will not go back or recommend this office.

I found Dr. Wadhwa to be relatable, attentive, thoughtful, caring and knowledgeable to name a few…read more He is truly much more than the few attributes that i have mention. My husband and I were a few minutes late getting there but he came out and introduced himself to us and ask if it would be okay if he saw another patient ahead of us so that he could give us the attention that he felt we deserved. He told us that he did not want to rush our visit. How amazing is that, we were late not him. I have had some good doctors in my life time but never with such great presence. Even though my husband did not have his medical records with him he assured us that he rather assess his medical history based on the medication he was on and his questionnaire of my husband medical history. I looked at three other doctors portfolio's on line but i never read through anyone of them. I kept coming back to Dr. Wadhwa every time. The spirit in my heart told me not to look any further, his portfolio spoke to my husbands medical condition and after meeting him I knew we made the right decision. I'm filled with so much joy knowing that we made the right decision and that we both will be well taken care of but Dr. Wadhwa can lead us to the water but he surely can't make us drink it, therefore we must do our part as well. Thanks, Dr. Wadhwa for accepting us as your patients. Olivia B. and Earl A.

I'm feeling a big relief knowing that I am under excellent and watchful care.

I highly feel that Dr.Greene is very compassionate surgen. Also I appreciate the care I received in the hospital and the attention and support of his office's staff.

I sent the following email/review to this Dr.'s office earlier this week, hoping that they would…read morecontact me and that I would then not feel the need to post it here. But since I never heard back from them, I am sharing it below. ********************************************** I hesitated to write this, hoping that I would get a survey from the practice itself and could keep this "in-house" so to speak. However, the fact that I am still upset more than a month after my appointment has me writing this review. I had a LAP Band put in 12 years ago by Dr. Barry Greene. I had no problems with it, and I felt good about the practice. Recently I have been having some gastric issues and my primary care physician (PCP) ordered a CAT Scan of my GI tract among other things. My PCP thought that the band had slipped and asked me to make an appointment for a follow-up with Dr. Greene. My appointment was in late September. That day I had a fluoroscope (a procedure where you drink some barium while having a scan while swallowing) which was read by Dr. Joseph Greene. He showed me some "rough edges" on my esophagus. I asked him what this could mean, and he replied that I needed to come back to talk to Dr. Barry as this could be an issue and that he (Barry,) as the LAP band expert, needed to be the one to talk to me. The earliest appointment was for late October. So far no complaints except for the long wait and lack of immediate information. I now had a month to wait and think about all of the terrible things those "rough edges" could mean and by the time of my appointment I was about as nervous as one could be when one knows in the back of their mind that if something were truly wrong I would have been rushed to the front of the queue. At least that was how I comforted myself when I was most scared. The day of the appointment with Dr. Barry arrived. I was taken into the back by an assistant and asked the questions I expected to be asked, about medications, medical history, etc. Then I was asked, "So why are you here today?" I looked at the assistant with incredulity and answered "I don't know. I was told I needed to come back to see Dr. Barry, so you tell me." She excused herself without addressing my answer. Barry then came in. He glanced at my chart and at the fluoroscope photo and pronounced that the band was perfectly situated. He then asked me a few questions, after which he said that the band was working perfectly. He explained why the band was working perfectly. He then started to talk about other surgery options, at which point I stopped him, pointed to the photo and asked "Well what about this? The jagged edges of my esophagus? He answered "Oh, that's nothing. It's just the contractions from swallowing." He then returned to his spiel about a Gastric Sleeve. Nothing acknowledging the fact that I had been worried for over a month about these jagged edges. Nothing to reassure me that yes, I was correct in thinking that they would have scheduled me for an earlier appointment if something were really wrong. Instead, I was left with the definite impression that no one had opened my chart, much less looked at it, since my last appointment, meaning that if something really were wrong, they wouldn't know... or care. I left feeling the following: 1. That the questions about my current band and the pronouncement that it was "working perfectly" was simply a "cover your ass" move. 2. That this second appointment was for no purpose other than to sell me more surgery. 3. That I was the victim of a medical "bait and switch." This review is not to question the competence of this practice and the providers therein. They are excellent surgeons, but the lack of empathy was astounding. As I said in the beginning of the missive, I am still upset.
