Jen J.

It has been about a year since Jessica Becker of Sweet Dreams came to work her magic in my household, and I am very happy (the lack of sleep deprivation contributes to that immensely!) to say that her miracle work continues and thrives today! I admittedly was extremely skeptic of sleep training services and very against any external help for our toddler's sleep issues. My son's first couple years of sleep were great and we had a solid routine -- I had thought it was the one parenting thing I had nailed! But things went awry when he was 2 years old -- and it got progressively worse to where half of my (barely) awake hours were just spent trying to get him to sleep and stay asleep for both nap and bedtimes. I tried everything apart from bringing in a professional, but we finally reached the breaking point. I spoke to a few services I found via Yelp, but felt most at ease with Kimberly and her immersive methodology. We scheduled a date for Jessica to come for 5 nights + days, and she was thankfully flexible and accommodating when we had to delay the start. Jessica was extremely patient, knowledgeable and attentive to all our concerns. She took her time to explain my son's sleep patterns and mannerisms, and the best tactics to meet any toddler challenge. Even when I pushed back on on some strategies and implementing too many changes, she listened to my concerns and provided reasonable solutions. The first 2 nights were tough, but by night 3, the kid was in bed and asleep within 15 minutes! And honestly, we haven't looked back since! Jessica has been amazing in following up with us and providing support even after she left our home. A couple months after the sleep training, we had an international trip planned and I was extremely nervous about the impact of all the changes the trip would bring (time zone, bed, sleep environment etc) but she talked us through the plan and my son amazingly slept on that whole trip in a strange new place just as well as he did at home in his bed! It has now been a year, and many trips later -- and his good sleep habits are still holding strong! He is sleeping a minimum of 10 hours a night, and 3-4 hour naps in the afternoon... and he still never leaves his now big-boy bed until mommy or daddy get him (that probably won't last much longer but enjoying it while I can!) We are so grateful to Jessica and Kimberly and all the life-changing work they do! While I hope we may never need their services again, I would not hesitate to call them again and will recommend them to any parent in need!

SweetDreams LA has been instrumental in the growth of our family. As a first time mom with severe anxiety and depression during the first 7 months, I didn't realize how bad the lack of sleep was affecting me. Simply put, we needed help! I was nervous about letting someone train my baby and being vulnerable in front of a stranger, but Jess came in so graciously taking away all of my fears. My son was sleep trained in 3 days (previously waking up 5 times a night). It took about a month for him to be completely trained with naps included. Jess helped guide me through a few difficult nights; answering my calls even late at night. She also helped me with traveling advice and on-the-go naps which all worked!! Kimberly and Jess are both amazing people and I'm so happy we did this for our family. It may be a little expensive, but 100% worth every penny. It not only has helped our family, but has helped me be a better mother. I will always be utterly grateful for these two women.

Kimberly and Sweet Dreams LA changed our lives! All three of us are finally sleeping through the night. GAME CHANGING!!! Our baby is also so much happier throughout the day because he's on a schedule and knows what to expect. We're 2 months in, and things keep getting better and better. Highly highly recommend!

We can't say enough wonderful things about Kimberly and Sweet Dreams. We used her service in 2023 to sleep train our infant and our baby is still an amazing sleeper who truly looks forward to getting her rest! Just recently, we brought Kimberly back to our home to sleep train our 3-year-old son into his big-boy-bed. Our son was never properly sleep trained and before meeting Kimberly we had lost hope. Now, bedtime is a breeze and our son stays in his bed happily until it's time to come out. Kimberly saved our family so much time and heartache over bedtime. My husband and I finally have time to ourselves to enjoy dinner, decompress and just be with one another. We no longer dread the bedtime routine. Both of us agree that in terms of parenting, this is the best money we've spent. I would highly recommend Kimberly for BOTH baby and toddler sleep training. She brings such a warm, professional confidence that changed our lives, no exaggeration! Now - anyone can put the kids to bed, from a new babysitter to a grandparent. They both know the routine and don't fight it!

I cannot recommend Sweet Dreams LA and Kim enough!!!!! If you need a sign to move forward with sleep training this is it!! We had a baby who was waking up multiple times a night and would not go back to sleep without being held or needing his pacifier. We were sleep deprived and not doing well. Our baby was crying a lot and not eating well at all. It was just really taking a toll on us and we knew we needed help. We were skeptical about sleep training but a good friend recommended we talk to Kim and it was the best decision!! Kim was absolutely AMAZING. She came and spent 3 nights in our home. The first night was scary because you're not sure what to expect and you don't want your baby to cry. Kim was extremely comforting and gave us the confidence and tools to do what's best for our baby. Even when our baby fell asleep, Kim was awake to ensure the process was going smoothly and taking notes so we can discuss his progress. We felt comfortable enough to turn off the Nanit and go with the process. By day 3, our baby was doing so great and we were feeling amazing about the process. Our baby was finishing his meals and seemed so much more content throughout the day. At the time Kim was in our home, our baby was on a 3 nap schedule. Shortly after Kim left, We noticed some hiccups in his sleep. Kim immediately made herself available so we can chat and see what needs to be adjusted. With Kim's counseling through the phone, we were able to successfully transition him to 2 naps. He continues to do great with his sleep. He sleeps 11-12 hours on average during the night and it allows my husband and me to get the rest and sleep we need as well. If we ever have any questions, Kim is super responsive and always helps. All in all, we are so glad we went with Kim! Trust me you won't regret it!!

Ivy one week after sleep training.

We've had quite a sleep journey with our daughter, Ivy. She began co-sleeping with us at 4 months old because we traveled a lot and it was just easier to put her down that way. (Ok, and it turns out I'm a big ol snuggler. GUILTY.) But over time, we were all less comfortable: it was harder to get her to fall asleep at a reasonable hour, some nights she'd want to get up and have a visit at 3am, in the colder months her feet would get cold and she'd warm them in my mouth. We had to make a change. Karly came to our house and broke it all down for us and worked some kind of miracle over the next few days. Now Ivy is sleeping so much more comfortably, as are my husband and I, and although we do miss her, Ivy's overall happiness and noticeably improved health have made it SO worth it... not to mention I can eat dinner and watch Jeopardy again on a working man's schedule. Karly was patient and kind, but honestly we were so desperate, she coulda come in with a bullhorn and charts and we woulda listened. Thankfully, she made the whole process comfortable and educational and I would recommend her to any of my friends who need the extra support a business like Sweet Dreams LA provides. Thank u, Karly!!

My husband and I value sleep so much and are huge fans of routine, so when we had our first baby girl, the late night wake ups and interruption of our once well-oiled routine were really hard for us. Although we were anxious as first-time parents to begin the sleep training process, Kimberly assured us that the payoff would benefit us for years to come. Now, our first-born daughter is five, our second daughter is three, and both have been sleeping through the night and napping consistently since they were just three months old! Kimberly's support throughout the process was incredible. She is so knowledgeable and answered every question we had. She equipped us with the tools to continue the process after she was gone, and when we followed through with the program she created for us, our girls slept 12 hours through the night and took regular naps throughout the day. Even now, friends and family members are always impressed with how smooth our bedtime routine is. Our girls have hit every developmental milestone on time or even early, and they are thriving in school. The added bonus is the fact that my husband and I continue to enjoy our quiet evenings once the kids are in bed! I couldn't recommend Kimberly and her amazing team at Sweet Dreams LA more!

We had Kimberly sleep train our son when he was 5 months old. He had started rolling over and it was time to take him out of his swaddle and move him from his Snoo to his crib. We had grown very reliant on the Snoo and were having a lot of trouble putting him down in his crib for bedtime and naps. He was waking up MANY times at night and his naps were short (under 30 minutes). We also relied heavily on his pacifier. We were desperate. Kimberly came to our rescue and gave us back our sleep! Her sleep training approach is comprehensive and includes not only her tailored approach to bedtime and naps, but how to incorporate bath time, bottle, and a book. By our second night with her, our son went down for bed in 8 minutes without even crying. She took the anxiety and guesswork out of our baby's routine and left us confident and with the tools, we needed to move forward on our own. We placed our trust in her knowledge and expertise, and she did not let us down. We highly recommend SweetDreamsLA. It is more than sleep training, it is a lifestyle. Our only regret is that we didn't do this sooner! We 100% recommend Sweet Dreams LA to everyone, not just in LA; Kimberly and the Sweet Dream consultants travel so there is no place too far for them to go. You owe it to yourself to at least explore and hear her out, if you have any desire of getting your sleep back!

As the dad I was admittedly not as involved in the night time routine as my wife was and thought my wife was being a bit extreme in wanting to hire a sleep trainer, but to all dads out there I have to say...DO IT! I didn't think the price of a sleep trainer would be worth it and refused to pay. After another bad night my wife gave up. She put me in charge of bed time and night time and she went to sleep in the guest room. After reading a few sleep training books I very confidently thought I could get the job done. It only took me one night to realize we needed help. I begrudgingly wrote a check to Sweet Dreams LA and thought it would be money wasted. By the time Kimberly left our home 3 nights later we had a kid that could sleep, and more importantly, my wife is now sleeping through the night and happy again. There are MANY perks to a happy and well rested wife. I have to admit after going through the process that Kimberly and Sweet Dreams LA were worth every penny and we will be calling her a lot sooner if we need help with the kid that is now on the way.

Day 4 of training, sleeping like a champ!!

This review is wayyyyy overdue! I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this business for help with sleep training your LO. I hired Sweet Dreams LA in 2022 to help with my 5 month old daughter. I was at my wits end from the lack of sleep and my daughter was incredibly sleep deprived as well so I was desperate. When I sent my inquiry through the website, Kimberly reached out to me to set up a call. On the call she was incredibly kind and listened so well. I felt like I was in great hands. She sent Jessica Becker to come and start the 5 night, 5 day program. Jessica was AMAZING!!! I can't stress enough how wonderful she was. She helped keep me calm and grounded during the whole experience, which was honestly very hard for me the first couple of days & nights. I had to stay in an upstairs room with headphones because I felt so fragile that I couldn't handle my daughter Luna's crying. So Jess would text me all the time to keep me updated on how well my daughter was doing and in times of difficulty when Luna was learning how to self soothe. Jess was always on top of things and had stellar communication skills. I'm eternally grateful to Jess for her incredible work with Luna and honestly her friendship. Again, I'd highly recommend Kimberly and her team at Sweet Dreams LA!!!

Since 2001, I had visited multitude of Doctors and Surgeons and had multiple procedures to my Neck and throat to treat my condition, all of which had some temporary relief, but mot quite done the trick. I had visited 6 or 7 sleep disorder specialist up and down the West coast. I was fortunate enough to finally meet Dr. Eric Kezirian, early 2015. From the get go, it was all about what was right for my specific condition, all kinds of tests and findings. Dr. Kezirian always explained the procedures, and the office staff the associated costs. No surprises. Dr. Kezirian and his staff (even though they didn't have to ) went through a grueling 18 months battle with my health insurance company to try and get me approved for the Inspire device and even worked harder to help me find sources that would offset some of the costs associated with my surgery. (Not quite sure how, but at some point I received a letter from the Congress in Washington, ordering my Insurance Company to approve the Inspire Device for me. I imagine Dr. Kezirian and his team had a lot to do with that !) I have now had the device for over a year, and my sleep apnea is well under control. The Good Doctor and his team have been a life saver, and I cannot say enough about his exceptional approach to patient care. My sleep doctor referred me to Dr. Kezirian, and I'm so incredibly grateful she did. First off, though my time with them was brief, I really liked the doctor's office staff. During out meeting, Dr. Kezirian went over the the possible causes of my issue and explained that he would need to do a sleep endoscopy to find out specifically what was happening. Not only did he not rush through time with me, but listened to all my questions - without cutting me off! - and answered all of them clearly. Once he discovered the specific cause of the problem, he told me which methods might help, their pros and cons, and finally we landed on implanting the Inspire device as the best option. In zoom meetings leading up to the out-patient procedure, he again explained what would happen, answered questions (even a couple I'd already asked, and gave me information about what would happen post-op. Everything went extremely well! Also, I cannot give enough compliments to the staff at the UCLA Santa Monica Outpatient Surgery Center, where both the sleep endoscopy and the device implantation were done. Every nurse, technician, and doctors who I met and took care of me pre- and post-surgery were just awesome. It is not hyperbole when I write that, truly, Dr. Kezirian is one of the best doctors I've had. If you are in need of help with this severe condition, I could not make a stronger recommendation.

I have issues with my neck and back and had some problems with my face. Before his exam he questioned me and went over his list of past meds and issues etc. through his questions his attitude seemed rude and just thought he knew it all. I had told him I couldn't wear my retainer due to severe neck issues that I have and he proceeded to make me wear the retainer and I kept telling him my neck hurts and gets very tight with it but he responded with I don't buy it you have to wear it. After 5 minutes I took it off and was in more neck spasms than before mind you I came to his office with 10/10 neck pain and my neck was In spasms through his whole inspection. He proceeded to check my jaw and everything he had to do which was your average check up of jaw and few tests. What really was upsetting about this doctor is he was questioning me about what I'm going to do in life and said and I quote "what would you do if your parents were in New York and you had to work". This was extremely unprofessional on his part to say that and made me very upset and my mom was crying as she was with me during this appointment. I deeply regret coming to this doctor as nothing positive had been done and it just emotionally put me in a bad state. I basically paid $800 for nothing he was more worried about my personal life then actually helping me with my pain. Rich should not even be called a doctor he is nosy, rude, and arrogant . Dr. Goodman has been caring for my son and I for over two years now for ADHD/ADD treatment. I never…read morethought to write him a review about his medical practice until now. I've read all the reviews posted on Yelp and feel that he and Suzzie are misjudged. Dr. Goodman is an outstanding doctor and very caring as well. At first he may come off as not a very social person and/or arrogant. But he really isn't. My son and I have seen several different Psychiatrists for treatment and I will say, that these types of doctors (especially the better ones) are extremely busy and have many other patients that they treat so one shouldn't expect more than what they are seeking and paying for. One should also take into consideration that other patients may have more serious and life threatening disorders so relax and plan your visits accordingly, make sure you ask Suzzie questions before your appointment, and make sure you have your form of payment. Most psychiatrists are arrogant anyway. And if the relationship between your doctor and you aren't a match than it's best for both parties to separate. This happened to me with a previous psychiatrist. She dismissed us because 1. I had a hard time understanding her English and she would get frustrated repeating herself, and 2. Her office biller had a difficult time getting my insurance to pay on time every month. Our relationship only lasted 3 months. But Dr. Goodman is very patient. His time is money and not only does he care for his patients but he's also running a business. This is his business people! I made it late to my appointment with him on two separate occasions. He wasn't happy, but he wasn't rude either and he still kindly saw me after making me wait until he was able to squeeze me back in. He has directed me and my son to many articles written about him, articles and blogs he's written, books he's written, books/articles about our diagnosis, his research and websites that my son could read up on about his ADHD. My son is 14 years old now and really likes Dr. Goodman and prefers him over all his past psychiatrists. Dr. Goodman's conversations with my son are always supportive, motivating and humerus for a boy his age. Goodman has been very accommodating and we always enjoy our conversations with him during our visits. He also is able to provide teleconference calls for medication management which is a huge PLUS! Telepsychiatry is incredibly popular, in part because of the nation-wide shortage of available psychiatrists, and because psychiatry often does not require the same physical exams of the medical field. I'm assuming this option is on a per patient basis based on the patients health diagnosis and safety as well. But if eligible, you can skip the office visit and schedule a call for your monthly appointment for up to 3 months in a row. You then have to come into the office again after your three teleconference scheduled calls before you can make another teleconference appointment. I now see him in person only 3 times a year. He also got my son and I sleeping normally again after only needing Neurontin for less than a year. We've been sleeping well off of it for more than a year now. ADD/ADHD is well managed for us, unlike before for me, trying all different types of meds that weren't a good fit for me. About Suzzie Suzzie has a tough job. She deals with billing, insurance companies, patients that are delightful and not so delightful, manages the schedule of a well sought out popular Los Angeles Psychiatrist, and manages the needs of the practice and general upkeep of the business. She doesn't have time to fight with a patient nor does she want to im sure. If Goodman doesn't want to see you for whatever reason, it's his decision and her job to communicate that back. That's not so easy. Suzzie is usually really nice. She does sound over busy and stressed at times when there are a lot of calls coming in. So she might be quick with you but not rude. She is quick and to the point. No nonsense are they both, like a previous yelper stated. I once had a card issue, and Suzzie politely called me and left me a message about it. I did not get any attitude from her when I called her back to update with a new one. I also recall my first visit having a card problem and Goodman was very understanding and just let me leave asking me to just call Suzzie in the morning to settle my copay. Suzzie and Goodman (I didn't know they were married or if that's just gossip) have been understanding and accommodating with me on more than 2 occasions and they did not terminate the relationship because of those incidents. So I guess it depends on your attitude and temper. But I think if you are a patient that is in several ways problematic by causing more followup work in more ways than one, they will end the relationship and that's not unreasonable of them or any business to do so. Thank you Suzzie and Dr. Goodman for all you do.

I want to be clear: the doctor is not the one running this office. His receptionist is. She handles…read morethe scheduling, the billing, the communication -- all of it. And she does it with the warmth and professionalism of a collections agency that also happens to hate you personally. When you're an in-network provider, you don't get to freelance your own pricing on the side. That's not how insurance contracts work. But the billing isn't even the worst part. The practice cut me off. No refills on psychiatric medications I'd been on for a long time. No referral. No phone call. No plan. Nothing. They took the money and vanished. For a practice that manages medications where stopping abruptly can cause real medical harm, this isn't just negligent -- it's reckless. Every negative review on this page mentions the same receptionist. At some point, the pattern stops being a coincidence and starts being the business model.
