    Conversation with the owner

When picking up my daughter from this place, I see a couple of children stumping on this little boys face, stomach, and legs while he's laying on the floor crying. As he tries to stand up and run away from the children bulling him. The teacher who I found out is the owners daughter who happens to be 17 ask the children's to grab the boy for her. So the children did as they were told and dragged him back to the floor and continue to stump on him. When the teacher finally got close enough to the little boy who was crying on the floor she then grabbed his arms and started yanking him to stand up. While screaming in his face to "stand up, stand up" "you need to listen to me". I was in complete shock. All this happen in the playground. So I started yelling across the fence that what she's doing isn't right & it's very unprofessional. She then came up to me and said well he isn't listening to me and rolled her eyes. I then called the owner of the school and she tried dismissing the whole situation as if they're just kids they play that way. She then told me the little boy who was being bullied is autistic "that's he doesn't listen, and needs a little more attention". They still have this inexperienced incapable irresponsible "teacher" watching 10plus kids who they haven't fired. I got the cops involved to try to inform the parents because the owner refused to share the parents contact number. The cop told me they weren't able to do anything because the cameras weren't recording. I'm getting dcf involved in this situation. Imagine if this is how a teacher behaves in front of parents I can just imagine what happens in closed doors. Do yourself a favor and find a daycare where the staff is qualified & caring.

She has given us plenty of great tips on how to support our son through various challenges. She is a professional you can trust every step of the way. I really appreciate that the school has a strong value system, so kindness and respect are truly FELT in the classrooms. My son is quite sensitive, so it was precious to have peace of mind and know that he feels safe at school. Last but not least, the school administration has been very responsive and forthcoming to meet all our needs. This kind of flexibility and personal approach is impossible to find anywhere else from my experience. I highly recommend Village Montessori to parents that are looking for excellent early education. It's a classic Montessori school with high standards, the teachers and director regularly advance their education, and we could see how the management are constantly striving to improve things - teachers training, free seminars for parents, events, classroom improvements, etc. We are really grateful to Village Montessori, Ms Sujata, Joan, Mike and the team for creating such a special community and experience during the formative years of our child's life!

They are nurturing, vigilant, and genuinely invested in the well-being of every child. Many teachers have been at KLA for years, and because they clearly enjoy being part of this community, they are able to build lasting bonds with children--even when they are no longer in the same classroom. This creates a uniquely special atmosphere for families. The approach to learning is thoughtful and intentional at every stage of development. Children are supported in reaching their milestones through meaningful experiences, social-emotional practices, and engaging class activities. The curriculum is comprehensive and balanced--covering academics (numbers, shapes, language), art (with a dedicated atelierista), physical education, and an impressive range of enrichment programs like dance, Spanish, soccer, and martial arts. KLA is also a wonderfully inclusive community, bringing together families from all around the world. It is not unusual to hear four or five languages spoken within a single class, always in a spirit of benevolence and respect, where everyone feels welcome. Another thing that stands out is the attention to detail and commitment to continuous improvement. Everything feels carefully considered, and it is clear the leadership values feedback, making thoughtful changes while also supporting teachers in their own professional growth. If you are looking for a place that fosters independence from a young age and prepares children to transition smoothly and confidently into school, there is no better choice than KLA Schools of Coral Gables.

We were very impressed with the curriculum and staff, so we decided to enroll. And it was the right decision! Our two children had wonderful experiences at this school, and we really enjoyed the relationship/dynamic between us, the school and the families. The staff was incredibly caring and committed. For one, they did a stellar job tackling the challenges brought on by COVID. Beyond that, they were proactive about the individual care and progress of our children, and always kept us informed and involved. And they were always looking for ways to learn and improve as teachers. They care just as much as you do about making your children succeed. As for our children, they were able to learn so many things in a variety of ways, and they were very well prepared to handle the structure and rigors of traditional schooling once they left. But most importantly: they were very happy! They had a strong and understanding community, had opportunities to shine, and developed skills beyond your typical schooling. We are very proud to be part of the Bottega family, and highly recommend that families consider this school for their young children. You won't regret it!

When…read morewe we're looking for a preschool for our toddler we initially wanted a Montessori as it was highly recommended by few friends.Anyway the school was already booked for the next year. We did a tour and liked a school, and we were pretty satisfied with a year our two year old completed here. We decided to continue, but this year is a different story. Actually a friend of mine whose kid was in different class, pulled her kid before this school year, pointing out that school has some issues. I don't know if that's because the director changed or the school run out of money, but activities became so limited. Most of the days kids just doing coloring and painting, not much of diverse materials are used even though you pay for it.Last year was much better regarding this.Curriculum missing some creativity. This year there have been zero field trips even though they were promised. Instead of taking kids to a museum tour as a field trip, they invite you(it's optional activity)to bring your kids on the weekend for a museum tour and charge you like 60$ per ticket.Ridiculous. Christmas party that was planned for a while was basically a bounce house. Other important thing, they are short on staff. The pictures of daily kids activities are posted on the app not very often. For that I don't blame the teacher(my kid teacher is great by the way, knowledgeable, passionate and caring and we really like her),but she is by herself most of the times so obviously can't do everything. On the good note, the school is very clean, super safe, everyone is friendly, the atmosphere is great, front desk ladies are amazing, very communicative and always there for any questions, ready to help you out with a smile. My kid's teacher is amazing as well, she pours all of her heart in care for the children. So to conclude they should invest more (financially and academically)to make a better experience for the children.

The quality of teachers, assistants and administration at this school are fantastic. This school is family owned and managed but a fantastic family of educators that are passionate about educating young children. They continue to think about what the children and our family need and bring great ideas and solutions to continue to strive for greatness for our children. For example, this year they invited both a occupational and physical therapists to help assess our kids (optional) and work closely with our teachers so they can help our kids and manage any development items as a team. They continue to add music, physical education and even Spanish classes provided by other educators. The curriculum is great and is focused on themes, after each theme (month-2 months), there is a celebration and families are invited to participate. This shows our children to have a sense of great pride in their work. My son attended a Montessori school prior to VCA and I did like that VCA had some Montessori like set up that helps children build their independence. Also, my son attended VPK and VCA follows the Florida VPK curriculum. His teacher did meet with me 3 times in that year to share his testing results and thoroughly discuss their development, this helped to show the growth he had from the beginning, middle and end of the year and showed his readiness for Kindergarten! I'm confident that VCA helped him prepare for his Kindergarten year. VCA also learns through play. My children have always loved to attend school. All educators, even outside of my children's assigned class, know my children by name and are very professional. The communication is fantastic, you can always reach someone in the office. The app the teacher uses keeps us engaged on what the children are learning as well as another form of communication directly into the classroom teachers/assistants. You are always greeted everyday with a welcoming smile. We'll miss our VCA family as our second child wraps up her last year at VCA. We'll continue to recommend this great school to our friends and family and we will always cherish these early memories we had here. Thank you so much for loving and developing our children.

My kids thrived here and were truly cared for in every way. My son left this school not only potty trained, but also independent, confident, and full of grace and courtesy. Both of my children now greet others with a warm "good morning" or "hello," something that has carried over beautifully into their new school. I've even been told multiple times that they are model students, and I know without a doubt it's because of the love, hard work, and dedication poured into them here. My daughter also left this school reading and writing with confidence, speaking in such a mature and thoughtful way for her age. Even though I know she's the favorite... shhh, let me not say that out loud. lol. The routine and lessons have taught my daughter discipline, independence, and manners. She is in the Spanish-only class, which I feel is very important. She counts 1-15 in Spanish, knows all her basic colors, animals, and much more. She sings, dances, and is pretty much as happy as can be every single day. She loves her friends and visits the ones that have moved on to the bigger class.
