It's here that books and videos are sold by the tonne, as well as household bric-a-brac, furniture, collectibles and a whole lot of crap. The fact the admission fee is a laughably small 30p makes it seem like something from the 1940s and is another jewel in the crown of the lane.

St. Michael's and Lark Lane Community Assosiation or the SMLLCA is home to a massive variety of…read moreactivities, workshops and events for the local communty. The community association is a registered charity which is run by its members. It is the heart of Lark Lane. Many different groups use the centre including self help groups, after school groups, pre-school groups, sports groups and tarde unions. Many different events take place at the centre such as polling day, jumble sales, flea markets, fairs, music events, exhibitions, record fairs and public enquiries. The building used to be the police station on lark lane and is often referred to as the Oid Police Station by locals. It comprises of 2 large halls which are used to their full potential are I doubt are rarely unused throughout the year. I booked this venue for my fathers 60th birthday, retirement, and my parents 40th wedding…read moreanniversary joint-event. The room hire was free which was a huge bonus. Although the decor suffers from a little wear and tear, the venue was absolutely perfect for what we needed. We made use of the Lounge Room which fit the party in with no problems. The bar was well stocked and reasonably priced, though a little more expensive than a 'normal' bar I felt. The toilets were very clean, tidy and well presented. There is lots of free parking available outside. On their website they also advertise it as a wi-fi hotspot. Food is served here, and can be organised for functions if you didn't want to do it yourself. There is also a games room, and flood-lit astro turf.

The Kinmel bay club is a fantastic club...but I think they need to attract the more young…read moregeneration...the younger generation are not catered for and wont come here but feel like they are frightened of entering...It needs the young to develop this wonderful club into a place where they can relax and have fun and enjoy them self's. And not be stamped on for being their age ..its was the best social club around and during 2012 every mix of ages young and old dancing together...where has it all gone?????? Just the oldies left!!!!
