I am writing this review based off my terrific experience with Ryan Robertson who was my trainer for 1 year.
The way this program works is that you start off with a consultation conducted with Shane the manager of PT Sweat. He asks you a series of questions regarding your fitness goals and then he does a mini physical assessment to see what pace you go and what you can tolerate strength wise. He then pairs you with the best trainer for your goals and needs. In my case this was Ryan.
To participate in the program you must be a member of Bailey's. You can become a member by paying (prices do vary) $19.99 a month or purchase a 2 year contract and only pay $9.99 per month. This price allows you the access the weights, treadmills, elliptical, etc. There are other packages for the gym and they include tanning, day care, group fitness classes and cycling classes.
Ryan took a medium-fast paced speed with me but he tailors your program to you as an individual. We did a lot of plyometrics, inducing jump rope, mini sprints, relatively light weights (this was because I was looking to get tone, not bulk up).
You can choose from various programs, but in order to do the personal training the minimum you have to pay for would be 4 sessions a month, recommendation of 1 per week but this is up to you. You sign a contract for the 4x month (or more) and your credit card is automatically drafted in the set amount based off your package. The more sessions you purchase the cheaper they become overall. You can purchase sessions by the session or package only. If the contract is broken prior to one year, you are charged an early cancellation fee. This fee can vary. Session and package fees also very which is why I have not listed any prices.
You can choose to train morning, mid afternoon or late afternoon, and this is all booked with your trainer.
I preferred morning or mid morning sessions because the afternoon sessions can become slower paced, that is when the gym gets busy and sometimes you have to wait for other gym members to finish with equipment.
You can call ahead of time, which I would recommend and schedule a consultation with Shane or you can walk in the gym. read more
