Searching for a 21st birthday present for a girl who has everything is as impossible as Hugh Jackman putting on weight.
You want the present to be personal, different, yet memorable at the same time. Swarovski in Wintergarden in Queen Street Mall, was the last stop of a very long day. A random and desperate stop. Having never really been in a Swarovski store properly, I wasn't quite sure what to expect. In the past I was just a bystander who didn't pay attention, who windowshopped, as I have always dismissed it as one of those jewellery accessory stores that people paid way too much for.
Walking in, everything in the store looked immaculate, modern, clean, organised, bright and shiny just like many of the items they stock. Looking around, its easy to get overwhelmed by all the different options, from jewellery, beads, charms, sunglasses, phone covers, watches, fashion and home accessories. More importantly though, the staff was amazing from the very start. A happy greeting with a full smile. If it wasn't for them, I would have given up. They were friendly, genuine and very helpful in assisting without the hard-sell and pressure.
Old fashioned customer service seems to be a rarity these days so it is always pleasant to be treated like a VIP. The assistant who served me asked some questions on who the present was for, what they were like, recent things they've acquired etc, and after some discussion, it made it easy for me to pick out the perfect gift, and within budget!
Swarovski seems to have gotten everything right at their Wintergarden store. From the pristine and welcoming decor, to the items they stock, as well as (and importantly) the staff who embody excellence in customer service. It turned a tiring day into a day to remember. read more
