Let me just say this, the sips here are nothing to play with! Lol this Maryland girl was pleasantly surprised with the attention to detail and the amazing hospitality. Service was also very quick! They keep that line moving. Thank you all for showing me how it's done in Louisiana!

Great menu items!

Cool place! Great service! Great drinks! I got the Creole Cream & it was delicious. Similar to a White Russian.

Full service drive thru bar located in Port Allen. Stopped in after a dry BBQ at a coworkers place one Saturday. I needed a drink after that and seeing the sign for this place was like a beacon of light. This place looks like a swamp Shack. Like right out of the TV show Swamp People. As soon as you pull in your funneled into the drive through. The menu board is great for getting ideas, but if you don't see what you want just ask the friendly bar staff when you get the the window. I got a large Voodoo wedding daiquiri. I liked the name and the fact that it had amaretto and white Russian in it. Two of my favorites. Service was FAST... Very fast. And ohhhh sooo good.

I'm not a drinker by nature but a daiquiri sounded good to me after a long day and I was right it was very tasty and not to strong as far as the alcohol content is concerned.

What a fun thing to do, not sure how safe but you drive through, order , and off you go with a cup , big cup, or a 1/2 gallon

I HAVE to stop here when driving into Baton Rouge! It's a must! I love their varieties and service is amazingly friendly. Go there!

The best daiquiris I have had!!! This place has been a lifesaver during the pandemic. The long lines are worth the wait.

It works well as a drive thru as they have it designed with car service in mind.

Perfect for a date night or weekend because you can enjoy the delicious craft cocktails and then just walk to your room without having to call Uber. Yes, oh yes, Dark 30, yes! A dark bar after my dark little heart. How could I resist stopping in…read morewhen doing a search for cocktails in the area? Impossible. Let's start with ambiance. It's what will lure you in, with a small sidewalk patio that's perfectly inviting (perhaps less so on a 90 degree night) and then you walk in and hit dark nirvana with black walls, stunning patterned accent walls and amber fixtures and lighting. An enormous, really cool chandelier hangs from the very high ceiling. I could probably stay here forever (and I haven't even gotten to the drinks yet). The bartender was really nice, offered us wifi right away so we could use the QR code. I knew I wanted a sparkling rose and she recommended one for me. Then, because my husband asked about mezcal, she made him a cocktail that she's testing out for the menu. On the sweeter side, but delicious and beautifully concocted (I felt fancy as I drank it). Wall art! Oh yes, it's beautiful, too. I particularly admired two huge framed portraits of black cats dressed in finery. Seating is at the large bar or at a number of small cocktail tables lining the wall. What a surprise lurking in sleepy Downtown Baton Rouge. While it's been a while since I've been here, it's in a league of its own in an area that you'll be more likely to find sports bars.

Discover Baton Rouge's Best-Kept Secret: A Hidden Gem Underneath the City…read more Tucked beneath Azteca's Mexican Restaurant and nestled right on the edge of the Mississippi River, this isn't your average dive bar. Since the 1930s, this historic spot has been serving up cheap, strong drinks in a cozy, basement hideaway. It's off the beaten path, and its entrance is a little tricky to find - just the way you want your dive bars to be. Once you do find it, prepare for a throwback to a time when things were simpler: dark hallways lit by a few twinkling Christmas lights, leading you into a dimly lit, welcoming space. The bar is stocked with an impressive selection of scotch, and the staff is as friendly as they come. It's a place where everyone knows your name, and the drinks come strong and cheap. The vibe is laid-back, with darts, a jukebox, and a pool room that's a little too fancy to be considered "divey" -- but hey, that's part of its charm. This is the local hangout, a true haven for Baton Rouge's service industry crowd and anyone who just wants to enjoy a drink in peace, away from the downtown hustle. Oh, and did we mention the drink specials? This place knows how to throw a party: SIN Night on Sundays (yes, it's as fun as it sounds) Ladies Night on Mondays, with FREE drinks for women from 9-11 PM Reverse Happy Hour on Tuesdays, where the drinks get cheaper every hour Bingo Night on Thursdays And, if you're out late, they're the only bar open after 2 AM on Fridays and Saturdays! Now, technically, it's a speakeasy post-Covid, but getting in is easy: just scan the QR code on the door, and they'll email you a code to enter. Once you're in, it's like you've entered your own secret spot, away from the crowds. Whether you're a dive bar connoisseur, a fan of strong drinks, or simply looking for an off-the-beaten-path experience, this hidden gem has something for everyone. So, grab your guest pass or--better yet--become a member and make this your new favorite spot in Baton Rouge. You won't regret it.

Just one of the reasons I plan to return for lunch. They make a mean martini over here and Danny is crushing it in the kitchen. Everything I've tried has been delicious. The grilled cheese is perfection on sourdough and the tomato soup is a perfectly spicy counterpart to its buttery richness. The daily specials during the week are all hits from the wings, to the burger, to the meatloaf.... While we're talking about that it's served with the best Real life mashed potatoes that I've had in a while. I've also tried their fried chicken caesar salad, a generous portion of salad tossed in good caesar dressing and topped with crispy fried chicken. Pretty darn good. Service is always friendly and attentive and the drinks are just as good as the food. Really solid martinis and the Ashley signature cocktail has become one of my faves. I'll for sure be making this a staple spot for my visits to Baton Rouge
