(Absolutely reasonable so far) But the man told me that these frames are not available with plastic they HAVE to be polycarbonate. (Because they don't have an underwire to stabilize the glass.) I asked why they were tagged with a price that isn't possible. He just kept saying that I could choose a different pair if I didn't want these. I felt very "handled" and pressured so I chose to leave without making a purchase. I just want others going in to be aware that items may not be available in the prices on the tags.

I took two brand new frames in to have new prescription lenses installed. The first frame, that I…read moreuse for my music work, the lenses were installed without any problems. The second pair, which is what I'm basing this review on, became the frames and lenses from hell! The lab Bella Vista Family Eye Care (BVFEC) uses, is Harbor Optical in Traverse City Michigan. In fitting my frames with lenses, the lab broke my brand new frames. They tried to replace the frames, but each of three times they attempted to make it right, the temples (bows) were too short. The first time they tried to sell me a 150mm set of temples, the second were 155mm and with a frame that was 2X too large. I even supplied a copy of my original invoice so that the lab could contact my source of supply directly to reorder the exact frames and temples that comprised my original order, which they didn't do. Finally the third attempt was the correct 165mm temples, but still the wrong frame. I kept pointing out that the frame was the wrong size. I even showed Sue, the receptionist twice, the discrepancy with the use of frame dimension specifications and dial calipers. She finally insisted on the third attempt that the bridge dimension of 20mm was the correct frame number and was what I had ordered! Her incompetence along with that of Harbor Optical was in no way going to get me the correct frame and lenses. So seeing that I was not going to get the correct frames, I cut my losses and walked away with new frames that had the correct length temples, but the actual frame was 2X too large for my face! In fairness to BVFEC, they didn't charge me the 50% balance that I owed on my bill, but took my $75 down payment as full payment. Over the course of the 6 weeks plus it took to arrive at the final frame lens combination, not one time did Dr. Jackson personally get involved with the problem. In fact, the last time I met with Sue, and showed her the frames were still the wrong frames. All the while Dr. Jackson was showing a young prospective customer the expensive frames that HE offers on his wall display, and completely ignored me and my problem! He always seemed unavailable when I came in on all my previous occasions. I always dealt with Sue whose attention to detail in getting the order right, seemed to diminish over each visit. The proper solution to this problem would have been for Dr. Jackson to admit that his business was not competent enough to fill my order and to refund me in full, the original cost of my frames ($106) plus my original down payment of $75 and suggested that I reorder my frames myself, and to find a more competent lens provider. My suggestion to you the consumer, I would be very hesitant to believe that what you start with in the way of frames and lenses is going to be what you finish with when dealing with BVFEC. There are way too many optical firms opening up in the area to choose from that are looking for your business to have to put up with such incompetent service as I did in just trying to get a set of lenses for a frame that I had purchased elsewhere!

I am writing to formally complain about the unacceptable service and lack of professional conduct I…read moreexperienced during my recent attempts to secure a medical consultation. On August 16, 2026, I scheduled a virtual consultation for 1:30 PM. I was not informed beforehand that a specific Microsoft application was required. Here is the first issues, this company never informed the customer that a certain microsoft video app is needed for the virtual consultation, you dont find this out until you attempt to have the consultation. So instead of a video consultation I called the company for a phone consultation When I called for assistance, I was placed on an extended hold before being connected to a non-medical representative who was unable to answer my medical questions. There were many medical questions that he could not answer because he was not a doctor therefore he had no knowledge about. I specifically requested to speak with a doctor and was scheduled for a follow-up appointment at 3:00 PM the next day. On the morning of August 17, at 9:17 AM I called to confirm that I would be speaking with a actial physician. The rep confirmed that I would indeed be speaking to an actual doctor at 3:00 PM later today. I then asked would the company call me or should I call. I was told that I would receive a call at 3:00 PM. Despite this confirmation, I received no call at the scheduled time. When I followed up at 3:15 PM, I was again placed on a long hold. This rep looked at the notes in their system and confirmed that I was indeed scheduled to speak with an actual doctor. I then asked him if he was going to find an actual doctor. He then put me on hold, which lasted about 15 minutes. When he returned all he can do was apologize because he could not find an actual doctor or anyone for that matter for the second scheduled consultation. I then hung up the phone. Shortly after hanging up, I received a call from a representative who was rude and unprofessional, yet still not the medical professional I had been promised. The lack of coordination and failure to provide access to a qualified doctor is deeply concerning, especially given that this consultation pertains to a surgical procedure involving my eyesight. I expect a higher standard of transparency and reliability from a medical provider. I look forward to your prompt response regarding how you intend to address these systemic failures. Please post your respone to my complaint and do not ask me to contact you privately!

My in-office experience was no different. They were thorough, clear about the process and honest about potential outcomes. My surgery was scheduled (at my request) two weeks from my consult. Payment is effortless through a link they send you and i believe they have payment plans available as well. The day of surgery took no longer than maybe an hour and a half with multiple other surgeries happening that day. Surgery itself takes about 15 minutes in total. They give you stress balls to grab on to as most people are probably anxious about lasers in their eyes. Being one of those people, i was gripping those things like they (insert colorful PG rated analogy). My eye sight is now better than i ever remember it being and the experience with this particular office was above standard. Before your surgery plan to buy a pack of preservative free artificial tears. The office gives you one or two bottles but you'll appreciate having more.

When I contacted them, they had no record of my son's trial daily lenses or what brand he used even though he has been seeing them for several years. The receptionist had to ask me for my lens prescription, I'm not sure why she couldn't just look it up in my file? Originally our prescriptions were able to be sent to us via email, but when called, they told us they could no longer send them. Then when they did give us them in person, they were the wrong prescriptions. I tried several sets of trial lenses and none of them worked, plus I had to call to find out if they were in yet. Nobody ever contacted me. It took over a month to get my prescriptions readjusted. I was first seen in April of 2025, and didn't get a correct prescription update until June of 2025. I've tried to go there in person twice when they were supposed to be open, and they had closed earlier than indicated on their door and on their website. My trial contacts took over 3 weeks to come in and I had to call to find out they were in. In October of 2025 I received a bill for my visits back in April. I'm not sure why they didn't bill them for Insurance when I was seen the first time. Clearly the organization needs a stronger team. I recently called Lowell Eye Care several weeks before my CostCo optical appointment. I requested to have my records sent to Costco since I would be changing my optometrist. My files were never sent over after being requested. I will no longer be Lowell Eye Care.
