Optometrist seemed to be having a bad day when i was in the chair. Was professional but seemed irritated with me. Customer rep in store was delightful and the obly broght spot of my original visit. Showed up at posted hours to get my glasses. No one present. No explanation. After i madr multiple calls to CS i noticed that the hours posting had changed. Another customer showed up just as surprised as I that they were closed. CS twice dumped my call off at the Lansing store and once to appointment center who were helpless to do anything read more

Sucking on an alkaline battery is an acceptable alternative to visiting SVS. The optometrist is daft and somewhere miles away while sitting right there in the room, you'll be lucky if he gets your script remotely close. The manager, wow, if you can call what she does managerial then you can call your local fast food employees 3 star Michelin chefs. The two employees up front will test your patience to the point that life with out glasses becomes an alternative to the constant obtuse logic of these 8th grade drama queens. I had to get their corporate office involved because the service at the W. Saginaw location is so incredibly poor that it's insulting. If SVS where the only option in Lansing for glasses I would drive to Grand Rapids. One star is generous. read more

Dr Joncas was very thorough. Strongly recommended!!! My wife does not even wear glasses. I brought her for regular eye checkups to him because I was very impressed. I see some bad reviews here. But I never saw what they have experienced. Everyone is courteous and nice. After getting a new pair of glasses, I had to revisit multiple times to adjust flame fit, which is pretty normal for me. As for people on sales floor, I strongly recommend Mary. She knows what she is talking about. The only drawback is price. Everything here seems more expensive than other places. read more

Very friendly staff, I was there for like an hour Trying to find the right frames and the staff actually helped me with a pair that I liked and made a call to get it shipped in which I was lucky it was the last pair. I wish there were more selections on frames though they did get rid of some brands. Customer service great, glasses selection its was ok just needs more. read more

I have been a happy and longtime customer of SVS in Detroit, New Haven, and Chesterfield. We recently moved to the Lansing area, so when I got a notification from SVS that it was time for my appointment in October, so I happily called the SVS in Lansing and made an appointment and gave the person my insurance info on the phone. When I got there they said..oh...your insurance does not cover until March, so I said..ok...I am at a new place, so maybe that is why they did not tell me this before I made the trip over there. So they asked, do you want us to make you an appointment in March, I said sure, and so in the weeks before my appointment, I got many emails, and text messages reminding me and asking me to confirm which I did, but when I got there, they said...oh sorry the Doctor is not here today...I said but you made the appointment!!! I drove 1/2 hour, the receptionist, said...oh that is not bad. and the Doctor's not here..sooo I will not be going back a 3rd time! read more

I am very happy with the doctor and the service at this shop. After 32 years of wearing glasses, this is the first time I've had a conversation with a doctor who didn't talk down to me. Nia was exuberant and very helpful. The price is decent with VSP insurance and the selection of frames was good. read more

I if could give less stars I'll do it, don't go there people!!! The worst costumer service ever, I went there with my three kids... 2,6 and 10. The ladies doesn't even care about people, they were rude and mean to us. The doctor looked bored and doesn't seem to be helpful. There was this particular lady (Bobby) she was the worst, yelling at us and could care less about us! Charging me for services I didn't even asked for. My kids still remember how mean the people was there. Needless to say I won't go back ever! I went to the website and sent a mail reporting everything about our visit. One lady called and asked what was the situation. I got to tell her everything and she ended telling me she will check for sure and call me back. Of course she never called. This place has fallen apart! Since new employees who know nothing about what they do. My bifocals were way to low,and the girl did not know how to get the frames to fit right on me, I knew they weren't right when I left,but I gave up ! Went elsewhere to get them right. I changed my eye doctor and came here for the first time. I had issues with my contacts in the past and instead of passing me off with a script and calling this appointment a day. However, this doctor took whatever time was needed to see me week after week to get the right fit of contacts for my eyes. It took over a month to find the right contacts and he never made me feel like a problem, but was as invested on coming up with the right solution as I was. The level of care I found with his staff was so comforting. I never felt judged or unwelcome. I actually enjoy the conversations of the staff. What the precious reviews explain as unprofessional was in fact welcoming and like you were coming to see old friends. They never pressured me to buy anything. The patience and attentiveness of this staff was incredible. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to have an enjoyable experience finding the right frames or contacts because they truly cares about getting it right and making you feel welcome. read more

Bought a Groupon for 60 dollars for SVS Vision. It was supposed to be for $200 dollars worth of glasses. Well, they tried charging me about that much anyway. Are all the glasses $400 dollars at this place? I left and I'm out the price of the Groupon. read more

The doctor is very nice and respectful. However, the ladies working behind the desk, do not know how to help those in search for glasses, how to properly fit glasses, and are generally not interested in their customers. After trying to give me damaged frames, and then damaging them a second time while trying to fit them properly, i was given attitude when asked if they were going to fix the situation and if i was going to be given a discount for the hassle. Additionally, she didn't want to look at the damage she created or did she apologize. I am not the only person i know who feels this way about this particular location. My advice, get your prescription from this nice doctor and then do not patron this particular location. Go spend your money where someone cares about you and your glasses. read more

This was my first visit to SVS Vision and really didn't know what to expect. They were busy and the wait was not long (about 20 minutes). I love Dr. Kennedy. He had excellent chair side manner and listen to my concerns. He made me feel very comfortable. He explained what was being done during the exam. Staff was quite helpful.
