He really enjoyed working with his teachers, especially his AP Chemistry teacher, Mr. Kozel. They explained concepts clearly and in a way that was easy for him to understand, which made a noticeable difference in both his confidence and his grades. Summit was also a great help with his SAT preparation, and we were very happy to see a significant improvement in his score. I also really appreciate the front desk staff. They were always friendly, patient, attentive, and very helpful whenever we had questions or needed assistance with scheduling. Overall, we had a very positive experience with Summit over the years and are truly grateful for all the support they provided. I would highly recommend Summit to other students and families.

The best decision I made for my children's education was to enroll them in C2 of Pleasanton. Let's…read moreface it, even though we live in an area of town where the schools are highly ranked, our kids still need supplemental help as teachers simply don't have time to give each student the attention they may need. During my initial meeting with Arlandis, the center director, I grilled him with lots of questions because I certainly did not want to invest time and money if I didn't think it was going to give me the results I was looking for. After having my kids enrolled in other learning centers in the past and even at a private school at one point (which had been a disappointment), I was almost looking for a reason not to enroll them in C2. However, Arlandis's professionalism, confidence and experience assured me that our high schooler son and middle schooler daughter were going to be in great hands. I ended up purchasing one of their top packages which gave us lots of hours and also allowed for college prep assistance. I figured it was a great deal compared to putting them in private school, but even better in the sense that we get more 1 on 1 help. We have been with Arlandis and his amazing team of tutors for almost 18 months and I absolutely see the benefits of C2 in their grades and in their confidence. They not only helped my kids with math, writing, chemistry, but they have also taught them how to learn and how to help themselves; skills that will last them a lifetime! My son just took his SATs and scored 1550 (nearly perfect score!), all thanks to the practice and encouragement he received at C2 Pleasanton from Arlandis and his team. My daughter who use to have major testing anxiety now has a 4.0 GPA and building confidence in herself and her study skills. I also want to highlight that what truly impresses me about the culture of this center (which completely sets it apart from any other center I've had experience with and even from some of the schools my kids have attended) is that Arlandis and his team truly care about each student and their academic and emotional well being. They make efforts to ensure every student know that they are cared about, respected and valued. This highly encouraging culture is a direct result of Arlandis's passion and true commitment to each student and it's his leadership that has created this amazing environment! I highly recommend this center for any parents and students who are ready to take control of their education and maximize their students full potential!

This review is for the Huntington Learning Center in Pleasanton…read more My child was falling behind on her subjects in 5th grade. She was assessed at Huntington and we learned that she was a grade level or more behind on certain subjects. We knew that she needed additional support to get up to speed prior to the start of 6th grade. Mona provided a clear action plan to address my child's needs. We were provided a set number of hours that was an estimation of the time needed for my child to catch up to her grade level. We would meet up with Mona every 4-6 weeks to see the progress our daughter was making. We will see the scores our daughter achieved on different subjects. We would also discuss the focus of the upcoming weeks. The improvement was gradual in the beginning. Once my daughter got used to the process and routine, we saw dramatic improvement in her grades. Even her attitude towards learning has greatly improved! Mona mentioned that confidence on the subject matter is what really contributes to the success of a student. As my daughter gained more confidence in her work, we can clearly see that she began having a much more positive attitude about learning. We owe our daughter's success to Hunting Learning Center. Thank you!

Academic Center of Excellence is an after school learning center located in the Ardenwood Plaza…read moreShopping Center serving mainly the Ardenwood & Forest Park Area of Fremont. I attended ACE for their after school program from 1st grade all the way to the 4th grade. When I first attended ACE, the owner was Kevin and Mrs. Howard ran the learning center. A few years later, Mrs. Bang took over as owner and ran the place. Currently she is still the owner and running the place. For the after school program, they offer free pick up service from both Ardenwood Elementary & Forest Park Elementary Schools. They can also do Warwick Elementary if need be, however most of their business comes from Ardenwood & Forest Park Elementary Schools. After they pick you up from school, you would first have homework hour, which consisted of you doing your school homework while getting assistance from a teacher whenever you needed help. After an hour, it would become snack time and you would get a little snack to eat. Most of the snacks came from Costco. Then after snack time, it would be learning time based on the curriculum they offered and based on your grade level. The after school program is from when the school ends to about 6 PM. I've also used this place for private tutoring, and summer courses to help me improve. It was alright, somewhat helpful. I've had the following teachers here: Mrs. A (Now works as a teacher for Fremont Unified School District). Mr. Fitzpatrick (OK) Mr. Philip (Second best teacher there!) Mr. Ray (EWWW) Mr. Lawrence (Best teacher there!) Mr. Mark (Awesome guy, pretty good). Mrs. Bang's daughter, forgot her name, was nice and helpful. Got tutored by her over the summer as well. There are a few other teachers, however I don't recall their names. At the time, the front desk assistant was Carlos, and he was super friendly and helpful, one of the best staff there. I liked him! Visit their website for more details on their programs and offerings: http://www.ace-afterschool.com/ Owner is Song Bang. She'll most likely be the one to answer the phone if you call. ACE is an alright place to send your child, my experience was okay, I mean it wasn't the best but you know, there were some great teachers and it was just okay. 3 stars.
