Our usual laundry was closed so we decided to stop at this facility for the first time. It was nice that this laundry was open until 10pm on Christmas eve. The facility itself had a good number of washers and dryers, but some of the washing machines had a weird smell and the floors were covered in some trash from previous customers. The other annoyance was that the detergent dispenser was broken and you needed an "extraction tool" to get it out. That being said, this facility got the job done which was nice. Being open so late on a soon to be holiday was nice and we were happy to get the sheets washed before our guests arrived.

The other great thing about this laundry facility is that they take pride in their community and at times will provide families with free services before school starts. One minor downside is that parking at times can be chaotic because it shares a lot with the tanning salon, but besides that it is a great place. The one thing that does throw me off about the place is the fact that they have cameras everywhere, which shows me that they care a lot about their business.

If I'm a little annoyed it's because I've had to refold everything, not sure what was going on when my clothes were folded but, some of my shirts have enough creases to make to wonder if it's origami. I don't know what detergent they use but, it's pretty stinky. All in all, this business seems to be like a lot of stuff around here, mediocre service with regular city prices.

Most laundromats forbid the washing of rubber backed rugs and pet beds and I have ALWAYS watched people come in to do just that. (Washing your clothing is washers that have been filled with pet urine is very unsettling) While I understand they can't control what the public does when it's unmanned, but they CAN clean. They just don't. CLEAN YOUR MACHINES. The washers are FILTHY and filled with pet hair and mold. The dryers barely function properly and the lint traps are so caked on, they would have to be soaked to come clean. The bathroom is a nightmare and the waiting area is filled with disgusting, shredded and stained furniture. What a shame. These owners obviously have no pride in their ownership and this faculty shouldn't be allowed in this condition in such a beautiful town as Shelburne Falls. A real shame.

It's the only laundry in the area. It's hard for me to give five stars to a laundromat. There is nothing wrong with it. I just hate doing laundry, and I hate going to a laundromat. It could be a whole lot worse, I suppose. They are open from about 6 am to 10 pm. The machines only take quarters, but they have a machine that will make change. It's about $4 to $4.50 to use a machine, but the machines are huge. They probably hold about 2-3 loads of laundry. Mercifully, they have an excellent wireless connection, much better than any other place in town. On the other hand, the location is pretty good. You could start your wash, go get lunch down the street. Then come back and throw everything in the dryer. This is Shelburne Falls. I once left my cell phone plugged into the wall to recharge, forgot about it, came back later and it was exactly where I left it. Try doing that in New York (actually, no one in New York wants my phone either).

Sign on door says "Closed for Maintenance" but there's no evidence of anyone working on anything. The mail box by the front door is stuffed full of mail and the place is looking abandoned. The last time the card machine was working I put a lot of money on two Sudzway cards. I'm going to try and get my money back so I can go to another laundromat with better regular maintenance. I'm sad because my prior experience with the machines has been positive.

The owner of the laundry (a friend) no longer trusted them to take away eight 13-gallon bags of her clothing and household items. We both reached out by telephone. I have emailed numerous times. It has now been two weeks, and I am still waiting for a refund OR EVEN A RESPONSE TO MY EMAILS. Caveat emptor--buyer beware.
