Dr. Clift is amazing. I was referred to her by a family member and am so happy I found her for my son. I have taken him to 2 dentists in the past and one refused to work on him and the other rushed the work and he got inflamed gums. He is a difficult patient and Dr. Clift is as able to treat him effectively. I came to dr. Clift for a second opinion on his crown work. The other office wanted to take the crown off and do the work over again. The last office rushed through the process and left extra cement around the crown, causing inflammation and pain for my son. Dr. Clift was able to take X-rays, do a cleaning, and remove the excess cement in one sitting (This has never happened before) Her patience is unmatched. Horrible people!! Called them After 3 other stops to get my son help who tripped and fell into a wood post! HIS TOOTH IS IN HIS GUMS. It was pushed into his gum line and after going to the er and my sons actual dentist and getting turned away. I was told to call them. The lady Jessica on the phone is rude and unprofessional and started to get smart with me telling me they wouldn't see him if i didn't bring his insurance card or pay Out of pocket. Partnership is down aka not working currently and i am a 23 year old single mom out of work because of covid. I got smart right back. But then she took it a step further to call my sons regular dentist and tell them they are declining to see my son WHO IS IN NEED. I was hesitant to write this review because I am not one to bash on "small business'" and the owner did call and apologize for her actions after I let her staff know I was unhappy with their services and lack of professionalism but I still feel compelled to warn others so they do not go through the trauma my daughter and I went through. After discovering my 6yr olds cavities,I specifically chose to go to Dr Clifts office after seeing her high ratings on yelp and figured this woman must really love kids and have lots of patience seeing as she seemingly made her life career serving kids dental needs. We have denti- cal and I was pleasantly surprised they accepted our insurance. After coming to the consultation, Dr Clift seemed nice and told us my daughter needed some caps put on. On procedure day, to address one of the cavities, my daughter was extremely nervous. She has never had any kind of procedure like this before. When we were called back to the room, I noticed there were no other patients, just Dr clift and 2 dental assistants. As soon as we walked in the room, the assistant told her to sit in the big chair and before my daughter even sat down all the way, and before I had fully entered the room, a laughing gas mask was placed over her face. She got really nervous and asked what was put on her face? There was no asking me, if they can start the procedure, just basically started drugging up my kid without permission or without explaining to her what was going on or what to expect. At that point my daughter started asking lots of questions as to what was going on, what she should expect ect. The dental assistant picked up on this and then was very good at explaining all the tools and what to expect from the cleaning phase (not the rest of the procedure). Other than the initial walk in, the dental assistant was great. Warm, kind and patient. Dr Clift on the other hand, not so much. I first sat in a chair towards the back of the room where I was at my daughters feet/legs. Dr Clift moved my chair closer to my daughter so that I could hold her hand. Dr Clift then proceeded to go on a rant about me needing to "stay in my lane" and not get in her way or I would get "smacked" . She claimed to have already had a patient's mother get "smacked' earlier that week. Claiming the woman got in her way and accidentally got hit. She said she is "Beyonce" and I need to be like everyone else and stay out of her way. I understand letting people know how important it is to stay out of the way but the little rant was unprofessional. I even asked her if she wanted me to move from the place SHE placed me at. The next 30 min or so went downhill pretty quickly. At one point my daughter said that she was in pain and started to scream a little bit saying she wanted to stop. My daughter was shaking and terrified. I couldn't help but feel like everything was so rushed and if Dr Clift had explained " hey I'm going to start using a drill, it's loud, don't be scared, etc etc" things could have gone smoother but no she went all in with no explanations or reassurances. Other than Dr Clift showing me that my daughter was "numbed" she gave no explanation of the procedure or what to expect. When my daughter started screaming (keep in mind no other patients are in there so she isn't scaring any other kids. Although when we went for our consultation there was a screaming kid which frightened my daughter, but at that time I didn't hear Dr Clift react the way she did with my daughter) At that point, Dr CLift grabbed my daughters shoulders, got in her face and yelled "NO! This is my house! We don't do that here in my house. No!No!" I was shocked, I couldn't believe someone who is supposed to be a professional in pediatric dentistry would react like this, I would expect more patience and reassurance not further traumatizing my child from an adult stranger grabbing her and yelling in her face. She kept claiming she is trying to hurry up "and get the poor baby back in mommy's arms" but I don't believe that to be the case because Dr Clift actually left the office before we did, running out the door saying she was going to be late for her own dentist appt. Dr Clift also told me she would never work on my daughter again without first putting her to sleep under anesthesia, which I would never trust her to do. Before she left my daughter told her that that experience was a "nightmare", in which Dr Clift replied " yeah, yeah," put up her hand, rolled her eyes and walked out. Later that evening, I told Dr Clift how I felt (professionally). She felt the need to remind me that my services were at a discounted rate, so I guess that's why we didn't get the service and patience everyone else does. My biggest regret is that I didn't advocate better for my daughter and didn't walk out before the procedure even started. I Recommend avoiding Clift especially if you have denti-cal. Expect discrimination and poor treatment read more

I was very apprehensive about my daughter receiving dental treatment. In the past my daughter was so fearful she vomited on her last dentist. Dr. Clift treated my 4 year old daughter. unfortunately she needed a lot of work done, however Dr. Clift and her staff took excellent care of my baby girl. The doctor was very thorough in regards to what needed to be done and gave me options on the best way to approach the treatment. I don't have enough great words to use for Dr. Clift and her team. My son had some really difficult teeth that needed a lot of attention. He needed a tooth restoration procedure and my medical insurance was out of of network with her office. Dr Clift and her team worked hard to get an outside authorization approved and got my son in for his procedure within three days of the approval. My kids have Dr. Clift as their dentist for many years now. Even when I moved to a different city, I still bring my kids there because it's hard to find a great/awesome dentist. Recently, my son had a root canal problem. Dr Clift responded to my after business hours text message to address my concerns, processed my son's prescription, and arranged an appointment to see my son the following day, which was a weekend. I needed to make an appointment for my daughter, so I yelp this place and decided to called to check if they had any appts available. The lady who picked up the phone was very kind and helpful. I told her my daughter is having a little pain and she gave so many recommendations before being able to go in. The day I brought my daughter with my fiancé they were very nice as well. My fiancé said the dentist was so great with my daughter and took really good care of her. This was her first dental appointment and she didn't even cry even though she was so afraid to go. We were referred by our regular dentist, my 3 year old had a cavity on her front tooth. Dr Clift gave me the most informative consultation I have ever received.. Talk about detailed Dr Clift's has xray's on the the computer and I could see the cavity. When we had the cavity fixed I went with my daughter and watched Dr Clift and her staff work like a well oiled machine while talking to my daughter the entire time. Today was my 1st time coming to this office with 3 of my daughters. The staff was wonderful. My 5 year old loved the way it looked inside. They had so much stuff to keep my child busy. The wait time was not long. Dr. Clift was amazing! This is the first time my 5 yr old has not cried. They explained everything to her. They gave her different choices in the flavors they used to clean and allowed her to pick a color for her new toothbrush. I haven't even mentioned all the nice things that was done. I recently met Dr Clift and her team. As a new mom going to the dentist it was such a pleasurable experience. My 3 year old seems comfortable there.The dr and her team speak the same language seems like they finish each others sentences. Really nice to see strong work ethics. I was so scared to go in because full sedation scares me! I was new in the area, my child needed emergency surgery and I only had medical insurance. I've had a horrible experience where most medical professions treat you poorly just because you can't afford high-end insurance. Dr. Clift was super supportive about my concerns, she doesn't treat you any different, and you can tell she LOVES working with kids. Although I met Dr. Clift briefly, from parent to parent this is probably the most comforting experience I've had in a midst of high anxiety. Although you can't go in the surgery room with your child, they do not leave you worrying they explain all procedures clearly. I just wanted to thank DR. Clift AND HER WONDERFUL STAFF always being very silly and courteous to my two children's needs. She is always looking out for the best interest for my children.... I'm sorry to say that I would not recommend Dr Cliffe. I went to Dr Cliffe when I was a child so I figured I would have my daughter see her also. My daughter had some cavities and we had to come back twice. This was my daughter 1st visit to the dentist and now she is so scared to go back. My daughter is 5 so she knows when something isn't right or hurts.She kept telling her that the tool they use to keep the mouth open was hurting and she ignored what my daughter was telling her so my daughter started crying. She then had her assistant put my daughter into ANOTHER HEAVIER devise to straps her down. My daughter was trying to tell her that it was too tight and her hand was hurting but they wasn't listening to her and Dr Cliffe had a attitude. My mother said they she was drilling so hard that she could see my daughters legs shaking but she was strapped down so tight and crying she couldn't do any. After they were done my daughter was so drained she didn't wanna move and her and my mother just sat there for about 15 mins so that my daughter could claim down. I experienced the same thing when I took my daughter the first time to have the cavities filled but I figured maybe it was just me being overprotective mother and it was my daughters first time going but now having her go back the second time and my mother taking her and my mother saying the same thing. My mother called me so mad and upset she didn't know what to do. With that being said I will never bring my daughter back to Dr. Cliff's office. read more

Dr. Clift was very condescending and dry. Our appointment was rushed. She was not welcoming at all. It was my 2yr old sons FIRST dental experience. I was so thrown by the whole vibe she gave. Probably saw my Medi-Cal insurance and prejudged us. Failing to realize the only reason my son is covered through Medi-Cal is because we've just recently returned from Texas and I haven't started my job yet. Regardless, she did not make us feel wanted or at ease. Told me my son needed to have 4 cavities covered with crowns. Informed me that white crowns would cost a total of $1400 and $750 for an out of office Anesthesiologist to sedate my son. She seemed irritated with me for not consenting to medicating my child BEFORE I even met her. My son screamed for bloody murder and I figured it was because he's two. More like he knew that wasn't the place for us. Took my son to another practice today where we BOTH felt comfortable. Staff and Doctors were professional, courteous and treated us like every other parent and child there....regardless of insurance. Happy to report that his ENTIRE surgery including white crowns are 100% covered through his insurance. Dr. Clift is a money hungry opportunist preying on Medi-Cal patients and parents fears. Thank God I trusted my instincts and looked for care elsewhere. read more

Took my daughter Leilani here. My daughter needed the silver teeth and I was very lucky to find this Doctor who would accept my Medi-Cal Insurance. Now she takes patients with this Insurance Only if your child has teeth problems, and only until age 6. If I could afford it I would have all three of my girls go here, but my other two have perfect teeth, so oh well. The Doctor and the Staff are great with kids! What I love is they work as a team, have high energy, very up to date with the lingo, and have the (wrap) for your child who needs a lot of work but moves and freaks out. I would recommend this to anyone who has children with extensive work needed. Wait time is not long and once you're in, the get movin! I love all the collectible Disney dolls etc. that line the walls for us all to admire! The cheerful cat statue that greets you as you come in. Jest Please remember, If your kid is not 100% potty trained, PLEASE put a pull up on them before they come! I feel so bad for the Staff and Doctor when they are working with a child, and they get peed on, and trust me it does happened, even my daughter did it, but it was on me lol!. My son, Jaden was referred to Dr. Clift by a family friend. We had been battling many cavities in his mouth, however he refused to cooperate with our regular dentist for almost a year. Our first visit was very informative. I was impressed with the digital x-ray results. Dr. Clift made me very comfortable in my decision to try to fix our son's teeth without using general anesthesia. Which saved us $$$. Our next visit went by without any problems. She did need to use restraints which we were expecting. She was amazing. Our son, who is 6 years old was not traumatized. He had two root canals performed and five cavities filled. He was happy and excited that his teeth were fixed. He could not stop telling everyone at school the next day how nice Dr. Clift was to him. I was very impressed on how professional and caring Dr. Clift and her staff were with my son. We will be staying with her practice even though we do not live in the area. our 2 yr old son had to get some work done on his front four teeth. with the insurance we had it was hard to find a really good one that we could trust and them be confident in their work. ... wanting the best for our children... whenever you need dental work to be done her office is the place to go i would strongly recommend to everyone.... dr. clift is a great dentist...very friendly staff.... her receptionist sally is wonderful any question or concerns i had she answered them very friendly way even though i kept on calling unsure if i was going to bring my son in to be seen by dr. clift. or not. meeting dr. clift for the first time she did not sugar coat anything we discussed how it became a problem... which needed to get fixed asap. and also gave me some points on how to give a little bit of tough love. so it wouldn't happen again. i love her bluntness speaking the truth.... of what needed to be done. really examined his teeth well and saw other cavities that the other offices missed telling us. unfortunately his two front teeth need to be extracted and the two next to them needed to be capped. saying she will do her her best to save them. knowing he had to be sedated was the worse news any parents could imagine. i was terrified. but i was able to put my trust in jeffrey p. fisher, dds/diplomate of the national dental board of anesthesiology that was the worse situation i had to see my child go through... but i thank god for dr. clift and dr. fisher putting my heart at ease that everything would be fine and in their own words"i will care for your child as if they are my own." and they were fast and oh my goodness when dr. clift showed us the work done before they brought him out i was so happy she saved his two front teeth. i had to hug her!!! thank you both very much!! and also dr. clift thank-you to your assistants for the follow -up call when we came home.....thank you again, parents of little cecil long/cecil&lindsay read more

I met Dr Clift after being told by another dentist that he would have to break my daughter's jaw and reset it in order to correct her under bite. Needless to say I couldn't get out of his office fast enough! So one day while out shopping I noticed this girl with a beautiful smile, I asked her who her dentist was and she said Dr Clift. I booked an appointment for a consultation immediately. I was so impressed with Dr Clift and her staff. Her level of professional, knowledge and compassion was very comforting. She informed me that she could correct my daughter's under bite by simply putting braces on her teeth. That was music to my ears compared to what I had been told by my daughter's previous dentist. I was still a little concerned about my daughter having to wear braces. I've heard about pain, the swelling or the inability to eat. Well my daughter experienced minimal pain and swelling and she was able to eat without any problems. As a matter of fact she actually LOVED her braces!!! I would definitely recommend and refer Dr Clift to otters, she is a dentist who genuinely cares about her patients and that is what I want for my child. read more
