Here for an AAU basketball tournament for my son's travel team...The facility is pretty nice..plenty of courts plenty of seats.

Keeping kids active

My son is 6 and has very little basketball skills, but after one session at this place I can see that his dribbling has improved and I know with more sessions he will be able to make more baskets. This place has a great program to keep the kids busy working on building the basic skills in basketball. There are several coaches work with the kids. They have smaller breakout sessions and I do wished that the coaches would offer some individual advice to help. Overall I am very impressed and highly recommend this if you have a child trying to learn or a child that is already skilled.

Final game of the season

While the facilities are beautiful, the level of coaching & actual skill learning just DOES NOT make the mark! My son (age 14, grade 8th) participated in the boys 7th & 8th grade league this past fall/winter season) our coach did not seem to have a clue. The was zero continuity to how he coached. He did nothing to bring the team together! The boys were not even taught basic ball handling skills. I personally sat thru EVERY practice & game. Overall I'm completely displeased. I would expect this sort of thing from a community league, not something that costs several hundred dollars. We will NOT be back or recommend This league to anyone! I will say on a positive note (this the 2 stars I did give) the director Naydia was great. Communication was good. They just have got to get some better coaches working with these kids & start teaching some fundamentals.

My family and I were attending a Bob Gibbons tournament at the gym. My son plays travel basketball. The gym was Very clean. Friendly staff. They don't have a ATM Machine on site; however, they did had accommodations of accepting credit card for purchase and entry to the game. Can't wait to visit again.

A nice night at the field!…read more Parking was super easy & FREE! Paid parktis available, but the lot is not THAT BIG YOU. Easy access! Nice lot staff to guide & help before the game. As you can imagine food & beverage are not allowed from outside the park. Staff check bags upon entry. Food & beverage are NOT cheap (why I gave 4 stars), but they have a lot to offer for a smaller park. We ate before we went so stuck with beverages & Dippin' Dots only. Oh, my son got fried pickles & they were REALLY good!! They have a few activities for children; bounce house & the back lawn to run around. PLEASE be careful on the lawn- one child was hit in the face with a ball hit hot off of a bat when we were there. There is no net to stop them from getting out there. My husband saw him in a wheelchair going to medical. Yikes, I hope he's going to be OK!!! A fun night, good music & a win for the Stipers. Tickets are reasonable, depending on where you sit & the park is pretty much open to do as you please while there. Be respectful, always! Come check'em out with the family. Hope to see you there!

Some of the food tents on the upper level were a little cramped with people waiting in lines, so we preferred strolling around amongst the vendors on the field itself. Cool venue for an event like this. Lots of places to sit, clean bathrooms, parts covered in shade. Would definitely come back.

RISE UP ATLANTA!!! I…read morejust couldn't let this week go by without a visit to the Falcons Flowery Branch Training Camp. The Superbowl is set for this Sunday in Houston, Texas where our hometown Atlanta Falcons will place their bid for the first Superbowl Championship in franchise history! You can feel the excitement throughout the entire state of Georgia! We are so proud of the Falcons and particularly of the man and player Julio Jones has been: http://www.espn.com/video/clip?id=18537557 The training camp was empty of course, as the Falcons arrived in Houston last week to get an early start on their practice for the big game. Although I don't believe God takes sides when it comes to sports, I walked the perimeter of the Training Facility offering prayers up for our boys to be their very best both physically and mentally. I prayed they have the game of their lives and of course, kinda hinted at how nice it would be if all that resulted in a victory! LOL The camp has been headquarters for the past 12 consecutive years with practices open to the public usually between late July through mid August. Players sign autographs for about 15 minutes after practice is over, making for a great fan experience for all ages! Each training camp season they also host an annual Kia Friday Night Lights event and other fun events such as Atlanta Falcons Freddie's Summer Bash, opportunities to meet Atlanta Falcons cheerleaders, and Military Appreciation Day. Gates open one hour before practice is scheduled to begin. In 2016, there were about 14 training camp days open to the public. Check their website for the 2017 training camp schedule. A visit during practice season is a must for any fan. I imagine this beautiful facility with its open field, steep viewing area and FREE admission will be fully packed come this fall when our Falcons hold the title as the current Superbowl Champions. Can I get a witness? ..... TRAINING CAMP FAN GUIDELINES Please comply with all requests made by field security workers and Falcons staff. Smoking is prohibited. Shirts and shoes are required. Videotaping during practice is strictly prohibited. Please refrain from talking to players or coaches during practice. For your own safety and the safety of the players, please stay behind the ropes at all times. Gates will close 30 minutes after the conclusion of practice. Please proceed to the exit at that time. Guests not complying with the rules and directives of Falcons staff and team security will be removed from the premises immediately. Prohibited items include: Weapons of any kind Alcoholic beverages Pets (only service animals are allowed) Camcorders, professional cameras/tripods Large backpacks and bags Large coolers (Max size: 15 x 12 x 11 inches; 5 pounds) Anything deemed inappropriate by security ..... FINAL THOUGHTS I'm so nervous! My heart is racing and filled with hope for this Sunday's game against Brady and the New England Patriots. I hale from Chicago, where I witnessed my Bears do it in '86, my Bulls repeatedly do it in '91-'93 and again '96-'98 and just recently my beloved Chicago Cubs in 2016! At the beginning of each of those wins, it seemed the odds were against us! History has not been kind to the sports teams I have loved the most prior to their championships, which makes me believe it's our time Atlanta!
