Why the hell was I dumb enough to give this man $5,000 ' he offered to give back the money to go with another lawyer, I got a real lawyer that's looks talks, dresses and acts like a lawyer something Trent couldn't do! Let's see if we get our money back since all he did on my behalf was make a few phone calls since December! This practice should be closed down! Don't call Trent unless you want to get Bent! I now get his slogan and why you can always find him at the strip club spending your hard earned money!!!! Trent was the reason I overdosed he literally got me to that point by not caring and his ignorance. I pray Karma comes soon for this man!

I was rear ended, at night, on 501 in Myrtle Beach. Thankfully my injuries were fairly minor, but the damage to the back of my car was serious, and made my vehicle undrivable. The insurance companies, (both mine and theirs) were very unsympathetic and uninterested in helping me. So, even though I wasn't sure if my case would be major enough to interest a lawyer, I decided to call Maguire Law Firm in the hope that just maybe they could at least give me a direction to turn. Right from the beginning they took me and my accident seriously and treated me like an important client with a huge case. Sheryl Priest, who has been overseeing the damages portion of my case, fought hard to get the insurance company to give me a comparable loaner while my car was in the shop, made sure that my car was completely restored to its pre accident condition AND has gotten me every dime of the diminished value for my car now that it has been involved in a collision. I cant say enough about the professionalism and care that I've gotten from Sheryl and every other person that I've had involved in my case. So if you need help with a similar situation, give them a call. You won't regret it!

I'm hoping the rest of the firm is good, but my experience with Sarah Whatley was awful…read more 1) Her paralegal was constantly asking me for the same items over and over and seemed confused on what was needed for the case. 2) They didn't follow my recommendation on when and how to serve my husband and that caused them to get multiple servers and I had to pay for numerous times of them trying to serve him at places that I told them would not be successful. Because of them refusing to vary from their typical practice (even though I told them we'd need to) we had to file for a continuance of our hearing. As soon as I talked to the processor directly, he was served the very next day. 3) Ms. Whatley argued with me telling me it was my fault he wasn't served and belittling me when I told her that they needed to think outside of the box (since he doesn't work standard hours) and she justified her actions saying that she's never had a problem in the past. 4) They never sent me one bill for 6 months so I knew how much of my retainer was being used. I only received it when asking for a full copy of my file and I specifically asked for it. 5) Right before I changed council due to so many issues, she told me that she needed more money (already paid $7,500 and we didn't even accomplish anything on the case--only serving when I took them out of the picture). 6) After obtaining new council, Sarah failed to file the proof of service with the court so we had to file another continuance because she failed yet again costing me more time and money. 7) She cannot think beyond the standard basic scenario and refuses to believe that maybe alternate steps need to be taken and that each case may be different. I would highly recommend not using her unless you want to deal with a lot of frustration.
