The medical assistant when I tried to extension the fact that my dentist withheld that I had a lesion. In my jaw for over 12 years did not believe me not act responsibly. The Dr. was insulting .,abrupt and offered me pain meds that I could not take. Two that I'm allergic to. I asked for a neck brace or any way he could help said just leave I'm not helping you with a problem that is incurable. I was in labor for three days and stayed at the hospital for five and my husband and I still rave about how well we (plus our girl!) were treated. What a warm all-star team, from our midwife Linda to Katelyn our nurse and our OB Dr. Shaw, who made giving birth one of the biggest, coolest, bravest things I could do. I'd always heard that Northern Westchester has got a great labor and delivery dept but this went beyond anything I dreamed. Plus, the food is unreal. Feasting on salmon, chicken quesadillas, pancakes, and green smoothies pre and post-birth? Your own room? 24-hour nonstop help and advice? A first-time-parent's dream. 5 stars!!!!

The office staff is delightful and caring, which helps to allay any anxiety associated with a "visit to the doctor". I called to schedule my annual visit back in March 2023 and the first available was 8/1/23. Kind of annoying, but I took it. The office called me at 4:30pm the day before my appt to cancel/reschedule. The next available was 9/22/23. Again, I take it because that was the best offer. However, I just received a voicemail today (8/28/23) saying they again need to cancel my appointment and to call to reschedule- oh, and the next available is now December 2023. Ridiculous.

Dr. Teixeira was my original OBGYN but once you get pregnant they encourage you to see everyone cause any of them may be there delivery day. I met 8/10 doctors during my prenatal appointments and they were all wonderful, informative. The office staff was friendly and helpful- and I just knew I would be taken care of. When I was at 41 weeks with no baby we scheduled for induction. I saw many of the friendly face at Phelps I'd met over the last 9 months and Dr Spriyda was there to help me give birth. My whole experience with the practice and giving birth I felt so taken care of, and with any questions or concerns the doctors were responsive. If you are pregnant and looking for a good team of doctors and place to give birth- this is it.
