I made an appointment with Dr. Bakas who "saw" me (but really never took his eyes off his clipboard) and he said it was normal and to go home. Treated like cattle. Days later, I continued to bleed so I called him up and was seen again. He, along with his nurse, laughed at me and told me that maybe I am too sexually active and that bleeding is fine in your third trimester. Do you know how frustrating and humiliated it is to be LAUGHED at and ignored when you know that your baby is in trouble? Obviously, I knew better and was able to switch to a new doctor that same week. Dr. Francene M. Gallousis did an ultrasound and saw that I had a grade 3 placental abruption. She said that basically, my placenta was bleeding and that it was too "old" for my son. It looked like a 42 week old placenta and that my son would starve if he could not be induced right away. I had him induced 3 days later right at 36 weeks. 5lbs 13oz. If I had waited to switch doctors just by a few days, who knows what would happen. Very scary. Stay away from this horrible, horrible doctor. I'm not even sure how he can be called a doctor. No competent doctor would call bleeding in your third trimester NORMAL. Dr. Francene M. Gallousis, MD on the other hand, saved my son's life. She is an amazing doctor with incredible bedside manner and for whom I will always be grateful.

Trust me, I am the biggest baby EVER when it comes to doctors and and dentists, but now you will never have to worry again! On a quick side note, it is a scenic drive off the Saw Mill Parkway with plenty of places to stop for a snack on your way there or back. I also finally figured out where the Jacob Burns Film Center is -- a very interesting indie cinema in the heart of Pleasantville. But thats another story...... Caremount Medical/Dr. Jodi Sutton: 1) Valet parking. 2) intimate, yet full service hospital with incredibly friendly, knowledgable staff from the minute you walk in the door 3) lots of other specialists, if you need, including imaging for mammograms. 4) Totally efficient and spacious waiting room with tons of magazines, no forms to fill out, they take your insurance card and you click a few things on a touch screen. DONE! 5) I went early, as a new patient, assuming to encounter the horrendous previous situations at every other terrible gyn (also reviewed by me on yelp...) instead was taken in EARLY and with the utmost respect and smiles all around! 6) Heather, the nurse practitioner was an angel! she made me feel MUCH less anxious. 7) Dr. Sutton is THE COOLEST! She was done with me in literally 4 minutes! Immediately programmed my Rx into the system and Heather assured me that if I ever had any sort of issue, they would immediately fit me into the schedule no matter what. I cannot explain enough how amazing this place is. I feel like Im reviewing a freaking Broadway play at this point!! (oh well!) He didn't show up to my appointment. I left after waiting in the room for an hour. I wasn't taken…read morein on time, so he was over an hour late. The person outside didn't know when/if he'd show up. I don't want to see a Dr that doesn't care about his patients enough to show up for their appointments.
