Saw Dr Torado for urgent care. He is kind, professional, knows his stuff. He also made sure I understood everything and asked if I had any questions. The receptionist as well as the other nurses/techs were also great. They were all professional and helpful. Everything was explained thoroughly. I was dreading the long wait but luckily there were only 3 people ahead of me. They are pretty efficient. If you need x/rays or labs, you'll just go across the clinic. Xray was only a 5 minute wait then back to urgent care. You'll be on top of the line. I highly recommend this urgent care clinic. read more

I came here yesterday because the advice nurse told me to. The doctor accused me of not following the advice nurse's instructions and said there was no point to my being there. He tried to blame my anxiety when I made it clear to him that it wasn't anxiety. He blew off my problem by comparing it to getting my period even though it had nothing to do with that. He acted like I was crazy for thinking I needed to go to the ER when my case is very complicated and I have lots of reasons to need to go to the ER. I found him to be rude and not compassionate or supportive. He didn't even do a single thing to examine me or even touch my swollen legs to see how they felt. I was appalled at his lack of help and disrespect. I will never see this doctor again. read more

I was a little apprehensive about going to an Urgent Care from past experiences at different companies. I went to Sutter Urgent Care, nice pleasantly decorated, and only one person in the waiting room!!!! I said to myself "YES!!!" I registered at the front desk, completed paperwork, sat down, and within 5 minutes I was called for my turn to see the doctor!!!! The Dr was pleasant, great customer service, asked appropriate questions, sent me to get X-rays. The RN Nurse came in and took blood samples, she did a great job!!! I have small and wobbly veins, most often I need to get pricked several times to draw blood. She stuck me once!!! read more

I transferred from Kaiser to Blue Shield of California because I thought I would be saving money and time (since this clinic is near my home). WELL I was wrong. The time I needed urgent care one morning, drove here because it was the closest clinic available.... Only to be told they don't open until 5:30PM?? If it was an emergency I could go spend the $100 copay to ER or wait until 11:00 for the walk-in clinic next to Target. Well, sucks for me... guess if I'm not dying I can suffer with my symptoms until 5:30PM. Never heard of a clinic that opens later in the evening? Second time came here after 5:30PM for a test requiring labs, then waited over an hour... only to be told in the room that they no longer do labs or urine... WELL THANKS FOR TELLING ME after I wasted time??? They really must not read the intake paperwork specifying the reason why patients are coming in. And then waiting for the doctor felt like another hour or so... I feel sorry for the people of Davis who have to come here. Rest assured, I'll be signing up for Kaiser again during open enrollment. read more

I was nervous to go to any urgent care, but here, the receptionist was so kind and that calmed my nerves a bit. There were quite a few people in the waiting room, but I got called in pretty fast. I did have to wait a bit in the room, but that's to be expected, it's an urgent care. The PA who saw me showed so much compassion and concern and I really appreciated her taking the time to explain things to me. This urgent care is complete crap. We waited three hours to have my 11 month old seen for not even 10 minutes. She was having an allergic reaction to her antibiotic she was prescribed and had a rash all over her body. She had been sick for a couple weeks with the common cold that eventually turned into an ear infection. She was running a high fever for two days until she got antibiotics. She had no appetite, hardly drinking fluids and became dehydrated. We took her in and she saw Sotiris Theodor Papamichail, PA. Just before he came in she vomited everywhere. I was left to clean it by myself since they wouldn't allow her dad in with me. As the PA came in I told him she just vomited and he didn't seem to care at all. He then briefly looked at her rash. Wouldn't even touch her. As I'm trying to show him the rest of her rash he hurries me and tries to ask if her ear infection is better. I told him I don't know why don't you check her ears. So he does and it's still red inside the ear that's bothering her. So he says he's going to change her antibiotic and that was it he leaves the room. Now what pisses me off is in his report he put that her heart and lungs sounded great, her throat looked okay, her neck was okay, and she is drinking fluids at home and doesn't have any vomiting. ARE YOU EFFING KIDDING ME. That's why we are here!!! She refuses to eat or drink ANYTHING. She just vomited in the room if you listened to anything I just said! And he didn't even touch her to know if her heart and lungs sounded okay or if her throat or neck were fine. I had to tell him to look in her ears. I have attached the pictures of his report. I am so pissed off about this. He is just creating false information about my daughter. He has no idea. He didn't examine her AT ALL to be stating any of the information in his report. Also if you notice in one of the reports he states that she has no rash when we were there because of her rash....he should not be in this practice or be helping the public. read more

Tell me why an urgent care has such inaccessible hours? I was taking my sick, dehydrated, and delirious partner in for help one morning, and when I asked for help the lady behind the desk was cruel in my time of need. I tried to ask for help or where to go and she just interrupted me with "Urgent Care is closed until 5pm". I asked what resources I could turn to and she snapped and interrupted me again, not answering my question saying "I've worked here for a long time! I promise you it's not open!". I felt like I had to beg for help, telling them he was dangerously dehydrated, shaking, pale, etc. I was finally instructed to go to the ER instead and she snapped the directions at me on how to get there. It was one of the worst and scariest days of my life and she was cruel in my time of need. read more

This place is absolutely worthless. They are open for such a short period of time (5:30pm-9:30pm) and when I showed up at 5:50 they told me they had already reached capacity for appointments. So basically if you don't show up right at 5:30 don't bother coming because they will not help you and will just redirect you to the ER. They need more staffing for this place to accommodate patients or increased hours, otherwise they shouldn't even advertise it. read more

arrived at 4:45 with flu symptoms.no one was in the waiting room. was met by an extremely rude receptionist Velma who told me they are not accepting anymore patients. argued with me when I said their website said they close at 5:30 (Velma told me the site said 5:00 until I showed her on my phone. The good news is I came to the ER and was met by a nurse Shellie (sp?) who was a little ray of sunshine and got me through in 5 min-- waiting for results. Thanks Shellie! HUGE thanks and gratitude to this urgent care for taking care of my daughter. She had what sounded like symptoms of strep throat to me, but I am a single mom stuck down in Southern California unable to help her. I work in an ER down here so I knew she needed a proper in person assessment and sent her by Uber to this urgent care center. they did everything we would've done down here and she was in and out within a Few hours. Of course I expected that she would have to wait a while because I know what goes on behind the scenes! But they were kind enough to charge up her phone for her while she was waiting so I could keep in touch with her and make sure she was OK. Her strep test was negative and hopefully her flu results will be as well, we are waiting on that but they sent her back to her dorm and said they would call her with results which is great because now she can rest. As a long-distance parent it is a great relief to know that this urgent care is a 10 minute drive away and will do such a good job taking care of my child. I hope there isn't a next time! I am in the sutter network, so naturally I came here for urgent care when I couldn't get an appointment with a doctor. The hours here are only in the evening however, so even though I wanted to see a doctor earlier, I had to wait until urgent care opened. They really should expand their hours because some people need urgent care during the day since their regular doctors are booked for weeks. The benefit of coming to sutter urgent care when you are part of their network is that they can see your recent medical history. In theory this should have helped the doctors diagnose my problem. However, they did not really look at my medical history at all. They did perform a blood test and had me wait for the results, which was good. But when the results came back inconclusive, they told me I probably had a virus and should just wait to see if my symptoms go away. Fast forward a few days later, I still was feeling just as bad and I was finally able to see a regular doctor. Within 5 minutes, the regular doctor- who is not even my primary care provider- identified the issue by matching my symptoms with my previous medical history. The urgent care doctor had access to the same information and did not make the connection. This has caused me to lose confidence in this urgent care facility because I don't believe they actually looked at my chart and gave me the proper care I needed. I was lucky I did finally get a chance to see my regular doctor within a week of going to urgent care because if I had just relied on urgent care, I probably would have gotten much worse and needed to go to the ER a few days later. read more

I didn't realize it at the time, but I was definitely drugged at my first party. I passed out immediately upon arriving at Sigma Nu and was carried to my dorm by my friends. My RA took action and next thing I knew, I was being carried downstairs into an ambulance. Sutter Urgent care was only a few blocks away, but I was shamed by nurses for "drinking too much" and I was not asked any questions or tested to prove otherwise. The ordeal cost me upwards of $1000 dollars and a whole lot of shame for something that was out of my control. read more

I've been back to Sutter for actual medical, non-pre-employment doctor appointments with my spiffy medical insurance through my job. I really like the doctor I have here. She is young but really knows her stuff and spends a lot of time in the exam room with patients. I'm used to doctors getting me in and out as quickly as possible, but she really takes the time to ask me a lot of questions and ensure the treatment is okay for my needs. I also noticed her taking really detailed clinical notes! She's been on time every time I've come in, which is really great. The only bummer is that she's a resident, which means she's only available one morning every week - good thing I work somewhat flexible hours! As someone phone avoidant, I appreciate the My Sutter Online system to be able to figure out which day she's in that week and schedule my visit. read more

I was lucky to get there at 4 AM when no one else was waiting. The staff was extremely kind and caring. I did have to do some waiting around after first being checked in but that's to be expected. Overall an hour and 45 minute visit, with my insurance I'm very happy with the price, and grateful to have immediate care 5 minutes away. I was extremely happy with my nurses and Dr. Also can I just add that my sweet Dr had on a mask that looked like a duck bill, with little nostrils added on?! Haha, so cute. Fast compassionate care! I drive from Fairfield despite the fact that there is a Sutter urgent care location there. The intake nurse was very attentive and helpful. Nurse Machada was friendly and worked well with my 4 year-old who didn't want to be there at all. Dr. Lee felts was knowledgeable and thorough. Just got a call today from the referred eye doctor asking if she wants to go in to have it checked out. So what's funny about this story? Appointments are always booked due to people coming from Woodland and Winter's to be seen. The receptionist are annoying, especially Heather. Her tone and her disposition can be unprofessional and in my opinion she can be a bit condescending. I got re-sick after being treated there, and they were trying to make me go to emergency because they were "booked" they're always booked! Broke my ribs 2 weeks earlier was under doctors care, re injured myself thought I would call and make an early Saturday appointment they said 9:30 after standing there crying for 30 min. Was told a 30 min wait and I would have to go to the emergency room for x/rays anyway, so I walked over was treat like a drug addict until my x-Rays came back.
