Always fast prompt advice and attentive doctors and assistants. I've been going here over 5 years and it's always the same.

I have no concern about Quality of Care, but profound disappointment with billing and collection competence, ethics and communication.

To Dr. Daci - I'm responding here because I don't have your direct email address and messages to…read moreyou aren't going through. First I'm astonished at your repeated edits of your response. First you told a story full of falsehoods that totally negated my experience. Basically proving my points! Then for a moment, you seemed to be respecting my experience, finally saying, "Your concerns about my communication and approach are valuable, and I'm committed to refining how I connect with patients." But you deleted that today and instead put this "It is unfortunate that we were not able to find common ground and connect despite my sincere attempts -- this was a first for me." Ah again you're the hero and my feedback and sincere attempts are invisible. And was common ground the point? Not your skill at what you promise? Or caring about the patient's actual experience, not just your story about who you think you are? And I bet this has happened before. You make it hard to be heard. Which was basically my point. You worked hard to make this something wrong with me. I asked for what I needed at the session and you brushed that aside. You didn't see it. Oh, I'll add another thing that felt uncomfortable for me was you charging my credit card with $585 when I made the appointment, three weeks in advance. I've NEVER had a doctor or healer do that. I got the bill before the appointment. I realize now it put me in a position where I couldn't just end the appointment, and we didn't have a moment at the end to discuss the amount. It felt like you were taking care of yourself, not your patient. As I said in my original post, I tried two ways afterwards to communicate my experience of our session to you. A memo, giving examples. And on the phone, during the followup call. As I shared here, I felt my feedback totally blown off by you. And so I shared my experience with others here. I've sought to be fair and factual. And really - won't this help you avoid having patients that have needs like mine? Meanwhile, I met with another healer today who easily did what you did not. Welcomed me, told me the plan in advance, mirrored what she heard me say, asked what I needed, behaved consistent with her described values. It was a thing of beauty, and reminded me what a healthy dynamic feels like. So I'm good. I hope you do take this as an opportunity to learn. But your response is your choice, and just reflects on you.

I am very grateful to have found Dr. Daciana Iancu when I did -- when I was stalled trying to…read morenavigate complex health issues. Dr. Daci is a steady, compassionate guide with a unique set of skills. She is capable of seeing, understanding and problem-solving on many different levels, all at the same time. I would describe many of our conversations during the course of my treatment as profound. Dr. Daci is intuitive, practical, generous, and brave.

I've lived in Healdsburg for 18+ years and switched to Dr. Albeg after my primary physician…read moreretired. At the time, I was traveling a lot for work and I had one occasion when I was experiencing extreme pain coming off of a trip. I tried to sched an appointment but was offered the nurse as the Dr. was too busy. She did the general poke and prod and then said she'd report to the Doc and get back to me. Did I mention extreme pain? No response and later that evening, I had to take myself to the ER where they diagnosed a kidney stone. I had a few general annual check-up sessions and it always seemed like he was racing to finish as quickly as possible to maximize turn-over. The nurse does the general stuff, then he flashes in with a big grin, asks general questions, gives generic advice, and then he's gone in 5 minutes flat. My final visit was just before Covid lockdowns. I had lost a lot of weight (on purpose - 35+ pounds) and he didn't comment on why that was or offer a pat on the head saying that was good/bad...same hurry up offense like nothing had changed. When my bloodwork came back with cholesterol levels a bit out of whack due to my intermittent fasting/clean keto regimen (the root cause of the weight loss) he emailed me and told me to just eat more fish. I was frankly shocked at his complete lack of professional curiosity and obvious apathy. Probably late for a tee time and couldn't be bothered. Dr. Albeg is all that is wrong with the medical system. He's lazy, uncaring, and will keep phoning it in until he gets fired or enough bad reviews that he has to move.

Dr. Albeg is a pretty good doctor. He's usually patient but I often feel rushed and limited to a…read morefive-minute appointment. On the other hand, he's always on time and I've never had to wait more than a few minutes. He is very responsive to email and online messaging via the PAMF website.

Dr. Kates makes me laugh inside to myself. She's all business about facts and getting results…read more My previous doctor abruptly retired. I brought myself to Dr. Kates because an ER doctor told me I had lung cancer. My body was like a broken down car. I could not talk without coughing. The ER doctor and the x ray technician were convinced I had lung cancer because of the presence of a spot on one lung. As an aside, I told Dr. Kates I have problems swallowing. I thought I was not yet at death's door, but I was coming up the drive and could see death's door. I could see Mrs. Death waving at me from the upstair window. Dr. Kates gave me medication for the cough, ordered comprehensive blood tests, sent me to a otolaryngologist to get my throat scoped and a pulmonologist to check out the spot. The blood results came back. "Low in vitamin D, B, thyroid problem and you got to get off the carbs. You're pre-diabetic.", she said. I smiled to myself. She wasn't scolding me, but I naturally thought, "Hmmm. I've been behaving badly." She put me on supplements, the thyroid pill that all us old people take and sent me off to get a sonogram of my liver to make sure it wasn't blown. I was not feeling happy with all of the news of my blood work. This was in November. When I left, she said, "We are going to get you fixed up and back in order!" I thought, "I'm her project. She's going to fix me. Great!" The otolaryngologist scoped my throat and put ballon down there to open it up a bit so that I can once again wolf my food as I am wont to do. The pulmonologist gave me a bank of blood tests to discover that my problem was an inflammation caused by an allergic reaction to juniper. (I had earlier shoveled several truck loads of juniper chips without a mask.) Another specialist scoped my lung and did a biopsy of the spot. It turned out to me nothing. It is 7 months now after I came limping in to visit Dr. Kates. Yesterday I looked at my "report card": my blood results. Everything is normal again. The glucose is at the low end of normal! Dr. Kates fixed me! I wonder why earlier doctors did not discover my vitamin deficiencies, the thyroid problem and the pre-diabetic condition. I don't know. I just appreciated that Dr. Kates gave me the bumper to bumper check up rather than just focusing on the lung problem that I came to her for. I appreciated that she did not hesitate to pass me on to the specialists to get the lung and throat problems attended to. When I was getting blood drawn earlier, I questioned if I was getting the proper tests done. "This is for Dr. Kates, right?" I said, "Yes." "Well", she says, "Dr Kates is picky about things being done right, so I always double check. You are getting the right tests." I laughed to myself again: Dr. Kates terrorizes the phlebotomists into doing a good job. No, they just respect her. So do I, and if you value your life, so should you. Someday they might make a movie about Dr. Kates. If they do, they will get an actress like the young Kate Mulgrew who played Captain Janeway in the Star Trek Voyager series.

I would not recommend Dr. Kates to anyone. She is impatient, dismissive and disrespectful. I went…read moreto Dr. Kates for a few years. I never really liked her but couldn't find another Dr. Last time I went that was it. The entire session seemed like an assault. The health issue that she talked to me about was all from a very negative approach and about no possibility, and told me I would be on medication the rest of my life. Turns out, she was wrong about the issue. She had no suggestions, sympathy or ideas for helping me. She doesn't like being questioned. Her entire behavior was so rude that I froze out of shock. She needs professional counseling.
