These folks are amazing with a capital, "A." I was so hesitant to come here only to find two of the nicest, most compassionate healthcare providers I have ever been treated by. They are kind, efficient and excellent at what they do. Even Louis up front is awesome. (I have literally seen him step in when caretakers or drivers are doing something incorrectly and causing pain to patients. Really cool guy and makes us smile at each appointment) They literally go out of their way to make everyone comfortable. I also love that everyone in the office is concerned with causing as little pain and discomfort as possible. They always ask if there is any pain when they are doing the care/treatments. Even Dr. Gordon's jokes help to keep your mind off the procedure. Haaaa My history with the center: I battled a leg wound for a year thanks to Covid shut downs and within a few weeks of coming to this center, I am almost all the way healed. This team works hard, advocates for their patients and really care about providing the best treatment possible. I have actually become quite close with Irina who is my treating nurse. She is always concerned with my comfort and does an excellent job minimizing any pain. Every time she cleaned my wound, she was as gentle as possible and always asked if the pain was too much. One of the best nurses I have ever had. The other thing I Would like to mention is that Dr. Gordon and his team believe in making sure all patients get seen and treated. They come in early and stay late. That is dedication and a level of service rarely found anymore. My only regret, I wish I had come here sooner. Thank you so much for everything. You are appreciated more than words can express.

This is for the mammogram and vaccination areas of this facility…read more Mammogram. Have to. Early detection can literally save your life. I am having a lot of pain with my implants which makes the idea of enduring the pressing plates terrifying. My technician was really gentle, took the time to position me so I wasn't straining too much, and she got the images needed. When you tell people you're in pain/hurting and they make accommodations for you, that kind of compassion is wonderful. Vaccinations. Have to. I need to do a number of vaccinations (Over50, you need the two part shingles vaccine) the vaccination nurse helped me space out my vaccines so I didn't feel like I got ran over by a truck that night. She made sure I was well informed what was ordered that I was getting, why, and how often I would need to repeat if at all. Sore arms, going back for more, really pleasant and informative appointment. Kaiser Marin takes some getting used to. Kaiser Daly City, South City, and San Francisco have it down. Obviously my vibe vibes with theirs. Kaiser Marin - different locations, the style of the doctors, nurses, and technicians. But on the whole, it's been good. I had one really terrible experience with a really unprofessional, rude, cruel surgeon a few years ago. Everyone else has been great. I am really happy. Fiver.

After waiting months for an appointment, Dr Nguyen got my husband the testing and evaluation he needed. Apparently this Marin Health Department is very short staffed. They never let my husband know that the neurologist to whom they had referred him was off on maternity leave. Thank goodness for Dr. Nguyen who is a visiting neurologist. We live in Petaluma and no longer go to PVH because of the endless poor experiences there over many years. Our experiences with 3 out of 4 ER doctors we've seen at NCH have included compassion, patience and efficiency. Most of the ER nurses are hard working and caring. Wait times have been significantly short (only one 5 hour visit that even they were alarmed by). Some people do not understand that ER visits can be long due the severity of symptoms of other patients - it's not first come first served - Or that costs are higher when tests, imaging and medications are immediate. NCH ER is usually not busy (in our experiences) and we are grateful for the rapid and professional care our family has received.

If you live in Marin and your primary care doctor is with the Sutter system, it might seem like a better idea to go to a hospital where they can access your records--which Marin General cannot. Their computers cannot communicate w/ the Sutter System. I recently made the mistake of requesting Novato Community over pressing for 911 to take me into the city for Pacific Campus. BIG MISTAKE. The ER personnel and the hospitalist on duty were all openly hostile. Hey! I can't help it if I have a lymphoma which from time to time make breathing difficult to impossible. I am also mobility impaired w/ multiple medical challenges and have been hospitalized 3 - 5 days out each of the last 6 months. So I know the drill. The best practices these days call for getting thee patient stabile and comfortable before hitting them with endless standard operating procedure questions. Unfortunately, way out there in the boondocks, Novato Community hasn't heard bout best practices and are determined to harass patients with moronic surveys and heaven-knows-what BEFORE they will allow anything for pain control. Novato Community firmly believes their bureaucratic procedures have a higher priority than patient care. It is all about "This is how we do it here." If you resist, they withhold your pain meds. These are not good people. In short, admission was an extended nightmare that took over 8 hours! There is no excuse for such inhumane treatment. If you are a Sutter patient, insist that 911 take you to a Sutter hospital in the city.
