The communication or lack there of is evident by the reviews - we had the same response. We contacted Carl after a neighbor suggested him. I had one phone conversation and literally within an hour, my spouse comes home to be greeted by a different neighbor who tells my husband that he just found out that we are buying the filtration system! I hadn't even spoken to my spouse about it but Carl or someone from his office thought it okay to discuss our private conversation. I let that go. Then it took MONTHS to get his business license and insurance info. We live in a HOA and I needed approval to get this done. Then when we finally get the docs, Carl and his tech drop off all of the equipment on the side of my house near the AC units - which sat for TWO MONTHS after they told me the install would be the next Wednesday morning. Then when the tech finally did the install, the guy had to dig through sand and rock and he deposited all of the sand and rock IN OUR LANDSCAPING - almost smothering the bushes. I had to remove all of it otherwise all of the hedges would have died (confirmed by our landscaper). So, Carl couldn't respond in a timely fashion in any other interaction, but showed up promptly about a week after the install with the bill, which we paid the nearly $3000 within a couple of days. Fast forward a few weeks, three of our hedges start turning a red/bronze color - they are dying because the tech directed a hose releasing who knows what into the landscaping. I call Carl to tell him and he assures me he will stop by immediately. He never shows. I call multiple times thereafter - no one answers the phone. I text. Nothing. I email him on 1/30/23 with a dozen photos - no reply. Mind you his office is a four minute drive from our community. Nothing...... So now the HOA is asking us about the landscaping replacement. Why do we have to incur the time and expense to repair/replace landscaping that was killed as a result of his installation technician's mistake???? He is the owner of the business and should make this right - stop by to see the issue and fix it. Reply to the email. Answer the phone calls or texts. I would NOT recommend this company. Do your research first and look at the reviews and the dates of the reviews. This was our mistake - we listened to one neighbor. They didn't even leave us guide to the system... Sutter Filtration was recommended to be from Susan at Bit-by-Bit Therapy. I always saw the monthly servicing and the guys did a good job and were polite when delivering salt. So I needed a guy for my system at my home and I called Carl this morning to fix my system and he came today (which I didn't expect such quick service) and he fixed everything better than expected and the price was very reasonable. HORRIBLE! I cancelled my service in Dec 2015 and went with another well service provider due to the shoddy system he installed and I paid for at my home. The new provider told me it was the equivalent to one of those "security systems" door to door salesmen sell, a total piece of crap. It caused my new GE Profile washing machine to deteriorate as well as constantly had sand in my pipes. The worse.... This guy then goes and continues to bill me for YEARS since and has a collection put on my credit report. Ask yourself... who will continue to service anyone for YEARS without pay??? Sutter delivered and installed a softener at my home. Their pricing was substantially lower than the competition and they have stood behind it. They must have gotten a bad batch of some $2 PVC fittings. The installer returned very promptly to replace it. He was very apologetic. When it happened a second time, he said he was going to pick up higher-grade Schedule 80 fittings from a marine supplier as several customers had the problem recently. He arrived within 2 hours to repair. There was no charge for either repair. I was in a hurry for the initial installation as I was moving in at the time. Because a poured (and twice pavered) concrete walkway blocked access to water pipes, I had the installer place the softener in bushes beside the walkway. After hiring another contractor to cut out part of the walkway, I called Sutter back to move the softener. They came promptly and their charge was very reasonable. I dealt with the owner, Carl, entirely by email. He explained everything very well. The installer Chad was excellent. He clearly had a difficult job, digging through roots in the hot sun, but did it very well. Highly recommended. read more

I had been struggling with problematic well water at my house for a few years now. Every time a company would come out, they tried to sell me something new, changing the entire water filtration system. The lowest quote I got was for $6100.00 I got Sutter Filtration's name and phone number from my neighbor after I had no water on a Sunday morning. They answered their phone on a Sunday! They were at my house in 1 hour and had my water flowing back into our house very promptly. I was billed less than $100 for parts and labor. Carl took a look at my water system when he was at my house, and found a very basic problem with it. A small part which cost $15.00 was installed, and now my water is GREAT. Never been this good. They are very professional, responsive and polite. Pricing is exceptional! I would highly recommed Sutter Filtration Systems for all of your water filtration needs, pumps, monthly servicing. The best advice I could give to anyone is to stay away. He is a very nice guy when you first meet him and talks about how he will service your system. He said he would take care of the salt and let us know about any maintenance that was needed on our system. We purchased system in July 2017 . Last official service was January 2018 and then all of a sudden he went ghost. System stopped working about a year ago. Randomly this week, a tech for Sutter shows up in the neighborhood and put salt in the system. We asked about the filters. He said all of the filters should have been changed and that the technician for the past few years that was servicing Parkland was "very lazy". The technician said this past Monday that he and Carl would be at the house to fix my system on Tuesday (yesterday). Received text from technician that they won't be able to make it and said that today they would be here. Meanwhile it's almost 5pm, my wife and I have both called and texted the technician and Carl, and as of this posting have yet to receive a response. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!! read more

In my case after installing a brand new system by Sutter Filtration my water just was of poor quality.
