Eh! I have nothing against the Superior Court of California-Sutter. All Court Employees have been…read moresuper professional and the latrines are surprisingly clean and fully stock of toilet paper. It's just that going to court gives me anxiety as the reason why I deducted 1 star, LOL! But I do know we have them for a reason. As their mission states, "To resolve disputes assuring that individuals are not deprived of life, liberty or property without due process of law or denied equal protection of the law." (Superior Court of Sutter). Sometimes you win a dispute/case and not pay anything and win your freedom or anxiety of owing a fine/bill, sometimes you lose a dispute/case then pay the fine, and sometimes you are summoned for jury duty just to watch the trial. The trial may not be Judge Judy like trial where there's some humor into the case, but the judge does show some slight humor in regards of tying the case back to the Law if found guilty. As the judge will not show favorites between the defendant and the prosecutor. Tips to win a case: 1. Provide important key evidence! Such as photos, videos, documents, and/or witnesses to make your dispute much stronger to win a case to prove yourself innocent. 2. Hire the best lawyer. (optional). 3. Be confident and have good body language. Speak professionally (avoid curse languages). 4. Treat all court employees nicely (never show aggression). 5. Be prepared to share your story in a clear concise manner, provide timelines if possible and stick to it if you'll be summoned again. 6. Stay kind and calm at all times. 7. Attend your trial if you can make it. If you can't make it (re-schedule in a timely manner preferably 2-3wks in advance prior to your trial date). Tips to lose a case: 1. Don't be over confident or too cocky. 2. Steps from 1-7 from "Tips to win a case", just exactly the opposite. LOL! Important note: Attend your jury duty if you've been summoned! It's part of being the world's greatest American Citizen aka You to partake. Plus who knows, you can sorta mentally prepare down the future if you were to be in the same situation as the defendant on how to win/lose a case if you were to be in their shoes. Namm sayinn.. The judges will move any cases to the front that would be a disruptive inmate or a tv type case. It's important to not bring stuff into the building. You will be checked as it is a courthouse. No weapons or pepper spray. Dress nice for court. There are minimum rules. Don't dress like you don't care because it's gonna cost you. You can checkout your court case online to make sure of the courtroom the day before to make sure it's still on. It's always available to see if it's moved or something. The prisoners will be in the orange jumpsuits. You're not allowed to make any kind of contact with them. The bailiff will catch you. The judge will throw you out at the very least. If not fine you and throw you in there with them. You can go to visitation. The courthouse does have a counter you can go in for information if you need to file small claims or something. We have a nice clean facility use it. They do need better handicap access through the check-in process

Make sure you aren't fatally hit by a speeding car, for you will not be receiving justice. Your family will be lied to, told "this is a running investigation, we will do everything we can, to find the driver who killed you." but surely know, the investigation is closed before it begins. You aren't suicidal? Now you are, with a big stamp labeled SUICIDE - CLOSED CASE, on the very day you died. Your family will call with no answer, desperate for updates, followed with a donut filled "detective" (Im talking about you, Amber) returning your many calls with the following gentle response: "What do you people want? Tell your father that I saw his first call, I don't need anymore! I am on vacation in Hawaii so I'll get back when I get back. Are you over the age of 18?" your little sister will respond with "yes?", "Okay, your brother was hit by an SUV going 90, he was mangled, we cant even ID him, he killed himself, OK? leave me alone." This will only be the first of many calls where your sister will be hung up on. Your sister realized at that moment that the investigation never existed. She gets the police reports from CA to FL, searches coordinates on google earth, less than a mile are 4 buildings the car would have driven by. Your family is told that there was no evidence found at the scene, only your cold lifeless, unidentifiable body. Your body that was called in my other drivers described as what looks to be an animal but the clothes told otherwise. Nobody got there for 2 hours. Call after call and they didn't get there for 2 hours. Back to your sisters investigation. Since when was a bloody bumper not evidence? Police report told me, your sister, more. Broken promises to do "All that we can!". Regarding those four buildings. Your sister emailed and called, inquiring about surveillance. One restaurant got back to me urgently. He had two cams that would have picked up both front and back of the bumper-less and blood spattered white vehicle. Unfortunately the month that had gone by, took the footage with it. He did everything he could to try to recover it, it was gone. Horrified, I asked if any detectives asked for footage to which he answered no. We were both upset. I won't name the restaurant or owner for privacy and protection reasons, but I want to thank that man. The only human I talked to that truly gave my the time of day, to talk to me and who listened to my tearful regrets. Me, your baby sister, will forever bare the guilt of trusting Yuba City HP. Further, I called the department asking to speak with the man in charge. Knowing this place is crooked, I made sure to be on my best behavior, sure to not bruise the ego of these people whom call themselves cops. I was almost mocked on the phone, as if it was hilarious that I wanted to simply talk to the overseer. I talked to someone, not who I called for but what the heck, this is how they run so this is who i gotta talk to, right? I carefully explain the discrepancies in the report, what I have found regarding lack of surveillance concern and I truly wanted to know from ,whoever this guy claimed to be, what the investigation really was. I was told it was closed the very day it happened, January 23rd, 2019. With no evidence of suicide or consideration that my brother took this walk every morning before his dance classes and that the driver murdered my brother and ran, still, suicide. The cop, deputy, whoever he decided he was that day, got tired of my questions - he accused me of recording our phone conversation? proceeded to tell me to never call back, and threatened criminal charges for recording a conversation. I wish I recorded it now. It's easy to not do your job, especially knowing you are protected by sovereign immunity. It is easy to lie to grieving families. It's easy to believe you are high and mighty people, doing good for the world, however one day you will need help and I hope you are faced with someone just like you.

If you do not pay for expedited service do not expect your POS in less than a month. He was quick to take on my cases and collect payment, but the real problem began afterward when accurate paperwork and follow-through were needed. I paid for two separate cases. In the first case, the Proof of Service was delayed over a month, and when I finally received it, he had listed the defendant's previous address as my address, the plaintiff. Because of that mistake, the court now reflects incorrect address information for me. In the second case, the court rejected the Proof of Service three separate times because of incorrect information. This case had specific service requirements, and I repeatedly asked for corrections because deadlines mattered. Months later, the paperwork was still not corrected. One revised version was sent, but the court rejected it again. Instead of taking responsibility, he called me a liar and a thief after I disputed the charges with my bank while waiting for proper paperwork. When I pleaded with him to fix the forms so my case would not be harmed, he responded: I WILL NOT FIX IT, I HAVE SPENT TOO MUCH TIME ON YOUR PAPERS!! He then threatened police reports, small claims court, and demanded a cashier's check before making corrections. HE IS A VERY INEXPERIENCED SERVER AND DOES NOT KNOW THE COURT RULES WHEN IT COMES TO SERVICE. He told me an attorney friend advised him how to handle one of the cases, yet he still could not complete the paperwork correctly. His errors and refusal to timely correct them can potentially cost me the chance to recover five figures for damages due to missed service deadlines. Waiting two months for a Proof of Service is absolutely UNACCEPTABLE. My warning to new customers: if your matter is simple and mistakes do not matter, you may be fine. But if your case is time-sensitive, requires strict compliance with court rules, or depends on accurate filings, I strongly recommend using an experienced professional instead.
