Because I have a very long and complicated autoimmune health history, have seen many doctors, and…read moretried a multitude of therapies, when it came time for me to have to find a new practitioner, I was a little discouraged. There are not a lot of functional medicine doctors with extensive experience in my area. Dr. McCool was one of a very few who happened to be local to me, and I contacted her for a phone consultation. From the first moments of the call, I felt very comfortable. She listened patiently, was empathetic, and very personable. I felt an immediate rapport with her that I did not experience with the other practitioners I spoke with. She took me on as a patient and we have been working together for several months. I was motivated to write this review because it is not common to find many doctors these days who really take their time with you, listen, address all of your questions and concerns, make you feel valued as a patient, and express their commitment to helping restore your health. It is important to have that feel-good connection and trust with your provider, and sometimes it takes a bit of searching to find it. I am so thankful that I was led to Dr. McCool and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a very knowledgeable AND caring doctor.

I think most mean well, but don't listen well. Dr. Rhodes listens and genuinely takes care of me, it's very much appreciated. It's not always easy to see your primary care physician right away, but if needed their other staff members come through in a pinch. They are also quick to reply to emails which is great. With chronic conditions I don't necessarily want to be seen every time, they know what I'm going through and need and take care of me. Thank you Dr. Rhodes and NWPC staff.

Spent $800 out of pocket last month. One sick visit to get antibiotics. Two visits (double the…read moreprice) that should have been one visit because I was kicked out when we "ran out of time" to discuss my case. So I had to suffer another couple weeks to get another appointment on top of paying twice to get care. Then referred me to a "specialist" who offered no further value at all (probably another $200-300 out of pocket because UHC insurance is almost exactly like having no insurance at all). Then the office staff went back and forth with me for a week, gaslighting me and not answering my questions as I was trying to get a RX from them that I could actually fill. It felt like they weren't actually reading my message at all, just skimming it and replying with half answers or repeating the same information as before that I needed clarification on. At a previous appointment, another doctor was kind in person but then did the most infantilising and condescending thing with my 2 prescriptions. He post dated them so I could only fill the first one. Yup, he gave a busy, sick mom an extra errand. We're apparently not to be trusted to finish one medication first before starting the second one. And they send a bazillion reminder emails texts, pings. I usually have to check in online multiple times, reply to confirm the appointment several times (or risk losing it). Avoid if you value your productivity.

I saw the TV commercial for the regenerative clinic and I asked my doctor. She said not enough information not FDA approved.. and I said I'm in PAIN. the cortizone shot, shock wave therapy, electrical acupuncture, and massages. Nothing worked. Frozen shoulder is painful. . I made my appointment. Dr. Manning was doing the PRP injections. My elbow went against my rib cage and froze. Kind of scary, They sent me home in a sling. The next day, it released about noon. After my PRP injections, I've been accelerating healing. At night time, I woke me up to a tingling sensation instead of pain. I could feel it healing me. I went back and got my neck, tailbone, and lower shoulder. And then I had to go back and get the left side of my neck, I had bone spurs in my left side. they itched.. A full adjustment at the chiropractor's a breeze now. My spine is at phase 2. I've been rear-ended three times and once from the side. I'm grateful for PRP injections. I'm 2 weeks out from my procedure on both knees and I can't believe how good I feel. (I previously…read morehad my left meniscus removed and my right one had a bucket tear that was very painful) I looked into flying to Europe for this procedure after my doctor telling me I need to have both knees replaced.I kept resetting looking for something more local and found ORM. I met with Dr Perterson and was very impressed with his knowledge and expertise. I made an appointment with him for the procedure and when I got there the office staff was very pleasant. The first thing they did was draw my blood which was done painlessly and quickly. After that I went in and had fat removed to get the stem cells needed for injection. After both the blood and stem cells were processed they numbed both of my knees and began the injection process. It was pretty simple with very little pain. I was able to walk to my car after the procedure and went home. Later that evening there was some pain and it was pretty hard for me to walk. Going up or down stairs was pretty much out of the question. I spoke to the office team and they told me to put heat on my knees and the pain went away in minutes. By the 2nd day I was able to navigate stairs and every day after that I saw improvement. One of the best things for me was within 3 days I was able to sleep through the night. I had gone 8 months of sleeping 15 minutes at a time moving and being in pain and waking up. Its great to be able to sleep again! After 2 weeks I'm able to walk without pain climb stairs and do most of my regular workouts. That brings me to my appointment today with Dr. Baker for PT. She was also excellent, talked to me about my progress showed me a bunch of exercises to continue to do and told me to keep using heat on my knees at least once a day. I feel so fortunate to have found ORM and had my procedure done there. I look forward to gaining strength and being able to do the things I love without pain!

From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a really light and pleasant vibe. I called from my…read morecar to let them know I arrived and was let in shortly. I was wisely given the option to use the restroom since I had a 90 minute massage. It was stocked with extras like hair ties, a small gesture but an appreciated one. I'm sure all of us have arrived to a massage and forgotten to bring one, and having your hair hanging around your shoulders/face isn't ideal. I was led back into the room, which felt extra cozy since it was almost nightfall. Daniela M. let me know she was planning to use hot stones and a cupping technique where she moves the suction around to break adhesions up so she can better get to my problem areas. I'd never done it before, so I was excited yet apprehensive. The only thing I know about cupping is the round bruises I've seen on friends backs. However with this specific technique, there was zero bruising and it felt so amazing! I've honestly never walked away from a massage feeling like my body had let out such a huge sigh and released all this tension. I used to be able to crack my back at home simply by using a back roller but it's been years. A few hours after I left my appointment here, I ran myself down the back roller and heard the beautiful sound of "pop pop pop pop" from everything resetting itself. After chugging a ton of water and stretching, I headed off into my best night of sleep in a long while. I think Daniela M. will have to become part of my monthly routine. She balanced out really getting into problem areas of my body, while moving to softer and more relaxing techniques. It's hard to find someone who can do the work needed to get out the knots while still having you enjoy the overall experience. She was also great at being personable, with some small talk that usually I initiated, while still giving space for silence so that I could zone out. In the end, this is the first time I've debated setting a monthly massage with someone. I've enjoyed past massages, I've had tons at highly rated and respected places. Yet this is the first time someone has been able to make my muscles feel like jello (in a good way) without me cringing the entire time and feeling beat up the following days. You won't regret coming here. It is an investment into your own health and happiness. My husband has also come in, seeing a different person but having a similar experience. You can't go wrong :)

The front desk worker Ocean is costing their own LMTs money. I called Elk Rock Wellness for the…read morefirst time to book a specific modality--neuromuscular trigger point therapy (and potentially deep tissue)--for an upcoming Saturday. What followed was one of the most unprofessional and confusing front-desk interactions I have ever experienced. The receptionist was completely unfamiliar with standard massage terminology. She didn't know what neuromuscular therapy was, stumbled over "trigger point," and didn't seem to understand that they are closely related modalities. Despite representing a large clinic with numerous LMTs, she could not tell me if any therapist on staff specialized in this work, nor could she confirm schedule availability for the upcoming Saturday. Her solution was to tell me she "might" call me back the next day after checking. Asking a potential new client to wait over 24 hours just to find out if a clinic is even capable of performing a requested service is entirely unacceptable. When I explained that I would have to take my business elsewhere if basic scheduling and modality questions couldn't be answered, she seemed completely baffled. What kills me is that her lack of training directly hurts the therapists working there. By being completely unable to sell their services or book a basic appointment, she essentially reached right into an LMT's pocket and snatched a $120 session away from them. I will be taking my business to a clinic that actually understands basic massage therapy terminology and values a client's time. Avoid this place unless you already have a direct line to a specific therapist, because the front desk is actively driving new business out the door.
