Some years back I had to put an apartment full of stuff (including several hundred books) into storage, pronto, and a friend who kept some of her belongings there suggested Vernon, for which I am extremely grateful. The storage units are large and secure, and I was able to fit everything into one unit. It was just about the only thing that worked well at a crummy time. I've kept the unit for the past four years, with no problems at all. The rates are great and the people who work there are really nice and friendly. It's month-to-month, so at some point when I need all that stuff again, I can go and get it, without breaking a contract and paying a fee. That's handy, too.

This company could not of been more accommodating or nicer. The person we dealt with was Barbara. She could of not been nicer and very prompt in returning calls, whether it was a week end or off hours. When they brought the unit as well as removed the unit, there is 0 damage to your property. They give you several calls to update you as to exactly when the unit will be removed. It is really cool to watch how a robot like piece of equipment takes it out. We had originally gone with PODS because they are the name brand you see all the commercials for. Unfortunately they failed to deliver our container on multiple occasions. We were running out of time with construction scheduled to start in two days. UNITS came to the rescue and was able to deliver a 16' container for the same price offered by PODS for a12' container. And they were able to deliver the same day. The container was clean and secure and it was delivered and placed with zero problems. It was picked up promptly when we were done. Would definitely use them again or recommend them for anyone else that needed on site storage.

My mother in law told us she had a coupon for them- but my better half forgot to mention it, big OOPS... I want to stress the fact that NOW, ON THE HOME PAGE, is a link to "coupons". Do NOT miss that, because it could save you hundreds of dollars...we called a couple weeks after we signed up-of course too late- and they refused to back date our bill. The kid told us that even if we cancelled and re-upped, it was useless, we wouldn't save anything. This is almost unheard of in business, but regardless we got this bullsh*t run around and subsequent blow off. Now, the gentleman who ran the Franklin / Lafayette,NJ location was helpful and efficient ....He did our drop off personally, right on time, and was smart and helpful without being condescending. The drop off was smoothly executed, just like the many youtube videos we've seen-down left, down a little lower right, down left, down a little lower right.... like this \ -\--\-\-\ The pickup guy was 2-3 hours late, and a smoking, obnoxious know it all...., guess that is to be expected when you don't have an owner taking care of you!!! Our packed POD went up jerky jerky jerky-like a SeeSaw _ / \ / \ / \ / \ / \ / When we questioned it, OMG he said we did not know what we were talking about.....all I can say is hopefully our stuff is not in pieces.... The 1-800 people were great at selling us on the initial call- very helpful!!!! But when we called back with the forgotten coupon code they refused to acknowledge us, the coupon, or the unfairness. All PODS had to do was make good on the coupon they offer to everyone else, and (if our stuff isn't broken) we would have forgiven the other crap and been satisfied. But no- Now we are left with a bad taste in our mouths... Lesson learned. When we do construction on the house next year, we'll use a company who values their customers once they have them. We are a hairdresser and a contractor, respectively....and we can tell you- MAKE PEOPLE HAPPY!!!! The power of negative reviews is beyond strong. PODS would have fared much better with referrals from us had we been satisfied. I'm giving 2 stars instead of one b/c of the gentleman who ran the Lafayette / Franklin location...he was the saving grace but of course is moving from NJ to Florida. He even agreed to meet me one night late b/c he was there late waiting for a delivery. I wish I could remember his name and give him credit, because he knows how to take care of people. 10/26/14 I'm updating my review to add a star, because when we did finally move and had our PODS dropped off, it went without a hitch. We had to change dates a couple times, no problems. We expected to see everything broken into pieces when we opened it up, but thankfully, no drama. We spent way way more than we should have, still annoyed by that. However I must say, it was nice to have the PODS delivered to the driveway and unpack at our own convenience.
