I've almost been tempted in before by the offer of hot bowls of pasta to take away, but I was finally persuaded the other day by the new ice cream board they have out the front. They do mini pies and tartlets, I had a pitta pizza slice which cost £1.80 and was quite tasty, although it could have benefited from having the pitta toasted before having the topping applied. She also made me a box of side salad with some homous at my request, which she only charged me £1 for. I then had a double scoop ice cream cone with crème banana and raspberry pannacotta flavours which went down a treat in the sunshine on my lunchbreak. The lady who served me was pleasant, I think this might be a good stopping point for me to pick up my lunch and then take it to the gardens to eat more often.

They are good value, for food excluding drinks is £20 for £23 per person depending upon the options chosen. This is for them to come with the food delivery, a range of appetisers, mains and deserts, show how to warm up and other things like catering staff are also available if wanted. I also chose for them to supply cutlery which their sub contractor takes back dirty and washes themselves. When so many other catering companies rip off by inflating the prices for things that do not actually cost them anything, it is nice to deal with good honest people Monica's catering was helpful, reliable and eager to please. The food is as great as home cooked food, the salmon pastries were commented on by loads of the guests and the prawn appetisers were amazing. When by mistake I could not be home to accept the delivery from the cutlery suppliers and also for their collection. Monica's catering kindly allowed them to drop it off at their kitchen and they brought the cutlery with the food, likewise they collected the dirty cutlery with the empty food stuffs as well. I am very pleased that I was recommended Monica's caterering, will definitely do when I next have a party. They are the kind of people that invoke that good feeling, which means I have also recommended them to my friends as well

We received many favourable comments/compliments at the wedding and since about the quality and presentation of the food provided by Relish (canapés, wedding breakfast and evening buffet). Well allow me to help..... Stop, .....here and now....! Your big day is going to be stressful and there is an unbelievable amount to do... its easy getting 80% of the way there, the last 20% is a nightmare.... That's the 20% that you as the bride and groom need to focus on, leave the rest to the professionals. Sarah and I had decided to have separate companies covering marquee, caterer, loos etc., but by chance we heard about Superevent, so came to see them....after 20 minutes with Tony and Chrystelle, we decided to give them the whole event as they put us at such ease that it was the easiest decision of the whole wedding. Added to which, the tasting event that they put on is for you to sample the many different food courses and see what the marquee will look like, is absolutely fantastic and should not be missed. When they say the food that you taste there is what you are going to get.... That is the truth, our food was not only amazing, it looked, was presented and tasted fabulous, it was hot and there was plenty of it. Everyone we spoke to stated that it was the best outside catering they had experienced. Our chef, Richard and Steve as the event controller, were both the essence of professional, every whim catered for and ever special dietary need accommodated, as well as both having a wonderful sense of humour. There was nothing more they could have done to make their part of the event go any better. Bullet points from me to you. 1. Use SuperEvent for your wedding.....Chrystelle is the epitome of event organisation, you will see this as soon as you start dealing with her, she knows what you want before you do, and handles Tony incredibly well. ( He is a bit nuts...) 2. Listen to Tony's recommendations, he has done it before.... Every recommendation he gave that we took, worked out for the best. 3. Beware the mini burgers as a canapé, the red relish squirts out....! 4. In the middle of the event....... Stop and both of you wander out to a corner of the marquee and have a look at all the friends and family that you have there for you.... It's a fantastic scene. I cannot stress how professional, knowledgeable and accommodating they all are, but also they have a great sense of humour yet their feet are firmly on the ground. They were recommended to me by a couple of friends and they made my wedding day and lead up to it absolutely amazing. They always kept in contact and constantly updating my documents throughout the 9 months, when it came to checking through all the details of the wedding a few weeks before the wedding, there wasn't one thing that was missed off the list, they are extremely efficient. They probably had 5+ events happening the same weekend as my wedding and you would never have known. They made me feel like the only customer they had.
