If I could give a big fat ZERO i would, but i'll just have to settle for 1 star for now…read more Rude and hostile are the only ways to describe the man i spoke to. I asked to have a look at a camera, in which he gave a deep sigh before doing so (like a bloody teenager who couldn't be bothered) i asked about what functions it had and was met with rolled back eyes and a obligated/forced answer. Before leaving he said "i wouldn't want to be a showroom for some one else" I understand where he's coming from and i would rather give my money to a small high street business, however after the teenage and rude attitude he gave me (especially for a man of his age i would expect he would learn some manners) he practically pushed me out the door himself, NO WAY am i giving my money to a man like that. You just lost £500 quid to Jessops! from which may i add i had an outstanding service from!

Centre point is an independent camera shop that caters for every angle of photography. The guys…read morehere are friendly and happy to dispense sound advice to photographers at all levels. They seem to have a relatively intuitive nature about them which makes then sufficiently customer focused to talk to you with the right level of technical information. In short they don't bamboozle you with things you don't understand but it's clear straight off the bat that they know their stuff. Their range of stock is good too though leaning more to the digital side of photography, they have in store development facilities and stock a selection of frames. Which is not only ideal for those of us who are so proud of our shots we want them framed, but also good if you just want to do justice to a print. Price wise I've found Centre Point to be surprisingly cheap for a shop of its nature. You can doubtlessly find most of the stuff in here cheaper on line or in some of the bigger chains but considering the level of one to one advice available in here I think you buy into a little more than just the camera.

Had a rather bad experience at the Sussex camera centre Chichester, I took my 1dx in for a clean…read moreafter calling the young lady I spoke to said it could be cleaned in a few hours, after driving there from Selsey was told o it's a full frame we need to send it away it was a bit of an emergency as I had a wedding to do and had some dust spots The manager there said I will try and give it a quick clean, took it away I came back a few hours later and was charged appx £24 although this could be redeemed against a proper clean, when I got the camera home there was no difference so I sent the camera for they're so called full clean with engineers, after a week I called and was told that the dust had got under the sensor filter and they couldn't remove the filter (I'm assuming the AA filter and they can only change the sensor at a cost of over £900 WHAT they say because as a official canon repairer they can't remove the filter, I have since contacted another official canon repairer who are willing to do the work for appx £100 Brian at SCC conclusion was buy another 1DX for appx £2500 Great repair advice thanks Brian won't be using you in future
