Spicy Salmon + eggplant sushi pizza. Also a must try!
    Summer Y.

We are from California, and we honestly did not expect much, but we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the sushi here! Everything was well presented and tasted amazing! The food portions were small but since it is a buffet, we were able to try everything we liked. The server was very friendly and wonderful! We had such a great experience eating here! We do not speak French but he was able to speak bilingually which helped us greatly. This place is definitely recommended. We will drop by again the next time we are in Quebec City!

Lots of sushi, spicy salmon pizza and beef udon

Really good sushi for all you can eat! Order comes out really fast and it is very reasonably priced at $17 for lunch and $25 for dinner. More options are available for dinner such as sashimi and that's the reason for the increase in price at night. There is a charge for any food wasted though and so it makes for a more stressful experience as you try to eat everything you ordered.

Good location and big dinning area, sushi is good. Lots of choice, the green salad needs improvement , the vegetables are not fresh.

Friendly waiters/staff speak english, menus come in english. Waitress was patient in explaining special all you can eat and options they have. Had crispy dragon roll it was amazing and fresh!! Fried udon beef noodle was delish as well as miso soup! Total was less than $20!! Loved that part too :) gave 4 stars wish would stay open longer they close at 9:00pm

Give this place a 4 stars. Fresh food with lots choices. My favourite goes to its grilled salmon belly. Service is fast and good. Orders are accurate. The only one item I was disappointed with was its ramen. I ordered ramen and wished for the thin good quality noodles with tasty pork/chicken soup but it was udon noodle and the soup was basically water with soy sauce. Recommend this place and will try their lunch next time.

We were craving some comforting ramen on a cold night in Quebec city. There isn't much in terms of…read moreramen in QC so we headed to this spot as it had pretty solid reviews. However being from Vancouver where ramen is plentiful and so damn good, this left us feeling pretty underwhelmed. We waited about 40 minutes to get a table - I guess we went on a really busy evening (which oddly enough was a Sunday) and people ahead of us said "it's worth the wait". Unfortunately for us it wasn't. So where did it go wrong for us you ask? While the staff was really kind, it was a bit slow going - I had to ask for my drink order twice for my sister and I. It finally came with my soup. We had a salad to start called the Wafu salad - a Japanese chefs salad with Wafu dressing. While the dressing was the best part, there wasn't much on the deconstructed salad of corn, bell peppers, crunchy noodle, daikon, and lettuce, the salad was also served on a really awkward dish where the contents falls off the edges as you try to grab a bit of everything. Up next were the ramens - I got the Miso - Shallot, bean sprouts, nori, naruto, pork chashu and 1/2 egg and corn - I also got a 1/2 egg added for $1.50. If you're going to serve ramen for nearly $20 - you need to supply a full egg, that's just silly to only give a halfer. The first thing I noticed about the ramen was it was lacking broth - by the time I started getting into it, the noodles had soaked up a lot of it and I was left with mostly noodles - not great. The broth itself was flavourful so if it just had more of it, it'd be a better ramen. The corn was also odd for me and I didn't love that addition. My sister and moms was worse - my sis got the Vegetarian and my mom got the Yasai Miso. The vegetarian had so much stuff on top that again it takes away from the broth (which was also non-existent). My mothers was the same - the vegetables were just a bunch of cabbage lobbed ontop. Unfortunately I can't recommend this spot for ramen - the mediocre food is not worth it or the lineup to get it. The restaurant also looks much cuter in photos online than it was in-person - it lacks character in the decor.

We walked over and it wasn't too busy on a Sunday night. It's not a big space - maybe enough to seat 30 people. It's simply decorated, and some specials were written on blackboards on the wall. We basically both the miso and the shoyu ramen, and they were both good. They were a good size, and reasonably priced. Service was friendly and helpful. Why am I giving 3 out of 5 stars? It was a good meal, but nothing memorable about it. It's very similar to other ramen places I've been to, so in a few weeks, I might not remember much about my visit other than it filled me up, and there's nothing wrong with that. It would be dependable place to get a meal.

Plates are meant to be shared and to continuously order so that you're not left waiting too long for another amazing bite. We tried mixing up yakitori with bowls so that we could get a variety. In order of what we enjoyed were the Butabara pork belly skewers (decadent and melt in your mouth) we ordered it twice , Pickled veggies (radish and cucumber) to cut through the fatty bits, Chicken skin skewer (I don't know how it's not slippery oily and how they made it into squares, witchcraft, I swear) Sashimi (yellow tail, butterfish, salmon) the seasonings they paired with each individual piece was so thoughtful. That Butterfish was buttering, yum! Pork dumpling with chili sauce (perfect acidity and spice) I drank it up! Miso and maple creme brulee (love the thick sugar crackling on top) Pork rice bowl with miso soup (reminiscent of Japan's beef bowl with pickled ginger) Quail eggs in dashi sauce (it was good, but there's no seasoning in the eggs) Salmon shrimp croquette (good fried bite) Chicken thigh skewer (moist, but it didn't have a much flavor as the other bites) We thoroughly loved our food from beginning to end. Service was exceptional and kind. We even loved the yuzu lemonade! You can tell the chef thought very carefully about which pairing would be perfect and then elevated it even further. It's like a love letter to Japan. So happy to have ended our Quebec stay at Hono.

They looked at the list and shared that as long as we were no longer than 2 hours, they could fit us in!! AMAZING!!! No problem at all for us, as the kids couldn't sit for that long anyway. LOL The place is cozy - meaning they squeeze a lot of people into a fairly small space. While the seating option wasn't ideal for our mix of ages, it was perfect - because we were able to be seated. As the saying goes, "Beggers can't be choosers" Our table was next to the bar and was a combination of low stools and high stools. Next to the high stools were tables and chairs - literally right behind you, which can be uncomfortable for those on the stools and those on the chairs behind you. We tried not to think about it too much. It definitely made it a challenge for all when we were leaving. We couldn't leave without brushing up against people. Not my favorite. The food and service makes this experience all worth it! We loved every single dish we got. The flavors were amazing! So fresh and perfectly seasoned. The portions aren't "Huge" but are perfect for this cuisine. You order as you go and they bring food as it's ready. So it's a constant flow. Meaning the servers are working very hard - tip them appropriately! Things we had and loved: Edamame - with the furkake - YUMM!, Dumplings, Salmon Belly, Pork belly, Pork and Rice, Fried chicken and the creme brulee. We loved it and this will be one of the reasons why we return to Quebec!

This is a place that is a mix of Japanese and European flavors with tapas in mind. We started with a dozen oysters from their specials menu, which basically means there is a different topping each day. On the day we went, the New Brunswick oysters had a tomatillo and jalapeno topping that was just divine! They tasted of the sea and paired well with the topping of the day. We loved them. From their special menu, we tried the duck as well. It was delicious in flavor, but was hard to eat with the chopsticks provided. It was a small filet and it was a challenge. But, let's talk overall. It had a foie gras sauce at its base that was delicious and was surrounded by some of the best mushrooms I've ever had (chantarelles) and heavily seasoned carrots. That was the key. Those chantarelles were amazing, despite the difficulty eating the duck. And here's what I'll say. At the end of the meal, the waiter asked us about the duck and wanted our feedback, since it was a new menu item. We were upfront and they seemed to listen! Beyond that, we had the black pudding dumplings, the tako-torii, and the karaage. The karaage was probably the best part of the meal. It was simple, easy to eat, and delicious. Highly recommend.
