$3.50 for each dish was a steal for the quality sushi they make…read more Every dish was $3.50 but the sashimi was around $6-7. It's super quick, convenient and tasty at the same time! I found the quality of the sushi was pretty good for a sushi train. They were constantly making new sushi and adding it to the train therefore you were never really eating "old" sushi. If the sushi you wanted wasn't on the train, you had the option to order it off the menu and they get served to your table very quickly. There's nothing to complain about this place. It's quick, easy & you're able to go back to shopping on a full and satisfied stomach :)

Then as you walk into the humongous space you'll be amazed at the longest sushi train you've ever seen! It whirls, winds & bends throughout the entire space which is cool if you're decisive as if you aren't you'll miss the train & it could be a while till that dish comes back by you if it already hasn't been gobbled up by the crowds who frequent this joint. But its all about the experience so enjoy the train ride! The sushi chefs are busily going back & forth to the kitchen to get fresh new ingredients to work their magic, so theres constantly new dishes been put onto the train from your traditional rolls to black rice sushi & cornflakes encrusted sushi. There are cute little signs on plates which explain what certain fish or rice are, the benefits for those in the need to know what they're gobbling. Theres also a range of Japanese flavoured gelato on offer. Just remember to get the wait staff to calculate your bill before you go to the cash register to pay for all the plates you ended up stacking up. A great pop in for a quick snack but also a great environment to bring your friends, tantalise over the plates while they choo-choo past you. You can opt for the usual bar dining or there are actual benches that cater to groups so you're not having to play chinese whispers down the bench with your group.

This is definitely not a sushi train. More like a sushi Shinkansen. The speed of the sushi…read morecarrying conveyer belt is faster than at any other sushi train I've seen. If you're like me and need a few seconds to decide if that's the plate you'd like then by the time you make the decision the plate is already long gone. On the positive side though it doesn't take long for the plate to come back around if it hasn't been snatched up along the way. We went on a Saturday night which you would typically associate as the peak time of operation for restaurants but yet they were out of 75% of their non sushi menu. Limited udon to choose from. No ramen. No rice bowls. Much disappointment. Sticking to the sushi I thought it was quite good. Everything tasted fresh and the saucy ones had good flavour to them. Selection wise I thought it was a bit limited when compared to other sushi train places. Their hand rolls could do with some better flavours similar to what they have at makoto. So maybe it's that we eat a lot but I think it's more the prices but for two we spent about $60 and were full but not like we were stuffed. So a bit on the expensive side for something as simple as sushi. Thank goodness for the entertainment card!

For lovers of Japanese foods, there is probably a Sushi Bay near you. Their food is always fresh,…read moreyou can see them making it in front of you. Originally known as Sushi Train, they have improved the menu and the way the food is served. They now serve udon soup so you don't have to eat raw fish if you don't like it. The only problem is that now, in Castle Hill at least, they get so busy its sometimes hard to find a seat. Fortunately Japanese sushi doesn't take long to eat, so if you're prepared to wait around someone will soon leave. They also make great platters for parties.

Otherwise known as that 'semi-mythical sushi place'. It is spoken of in hushed terms, not only…read morebecause of the good sushi, but because it is the only, yes, ONLY sushi bar in the Mountains. Their opening hours are mysterious, and they are renowned for selling out almost as fast as they open. I decided to track this Shangri-La down. Wednesday morning. 11 am. Wentworth Falls. Down some stairs at the end of a car park and we're queueing. Yes, queueing. In Wentworth Falls. It's utterly absurd. There's not 10 people in the whole village at that time of the morning. Cars pull up. Everyone looks a bit edgy. The doors open, 15 minutes late. The better to build the tension, I guess. I'm 4th in line, and manage to snag 1 of the 2 AA grade tuna and avocado rolls, a seaweed roll and the one and only Inari. It's 11.17. I can't quite believe I pulled it off. I can't quite believe I'm queueing for lunch at 11am in the morning. I scuttle away with my ill-gotten gains clutched to my chest like someone's gonna wrest them from me. I prepare a snarl just in case they try. My food allergies are so bad, sushi's about the only thing I can eat with any safety. To have to catch a train for 30 mins, queue for 20 and then barely get any is freaking ridiculous. I feel like I've been snapped into some parallel dimension where sashimi grade fish has become the drug of choice. But I have a solution. MAKE MORE SUSHI. Please, please, please.... (prolonged sad begging). You don't have to run out at 11.18.... please... JUST MAKE MORE. We'll buy it, I promise.

So fresh, it sits only briefly in the cabinet and flies out the door sooo fast. To be sure of…read moregetting some of this amazingly good sushi, be there by 11.30am at the latest. (Sometimes there are days when you can arrive at 1pm and still find a good selection.) There is a wide variety, made with the best, freshest ingredients, and they will slice it for a token cost. The taste is so good!!!! Open 5 days (from 11am) - closed Sunday and Monday, there is a little outside seating available for nice days. The owners are so friendly and courteous. It is often extra busy on Fridays and Saturdays with a long queue of Sydneysiders - many on the way up the mountains for the weekend. (Cash only)
