Really fantastic sushi! My family and I had the miso soup and cucumber salad for starters and then we had the Lemon Roll, OMG Roll, Cucumber Roll, Radish Roll, and the Vegetarian Lemon Roll. Everything was very delicious, personal favorites were the OMG and the Radish Roll. Reasonably priced and small but with plenty of seating. Service was attentive and helpful. Great Sushi for Colorado, from a good living in the coast!

Husband and I went here for a late lunch on a Monday. Wasn't busy. The server was kind! Brought us out our food in a timely manner and served us well. The sushi was a 4/5. It's hard to mess sushi up! We ordered the toro (fatty tuna), which the texture felt more like chutoro (medium fatty tuna), but still good. Also ordered the yellowtail nigiri and spicy salmon roll which was good as well. As for the roll, I ordered the Super Crunch... 4/5 (too many crunchies). Environment was quiet and relaxing. Overall, just a good basic sushi restaurant.

This place is not far at all from Fort Carson. It's in a nice little shopping area, and it wasn't crowded when I went for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. I ordered two rolls(spicy tuna and crunchy) and some green tea to wash it down. They also have bento specials, but I was craving sushi. I might try the bentos next time. Their name speaks for itself. It takes a while for the rolls to come out, but they make it with ai!! It's worth the wait. The service was great, and they didn't hover!! Check them out!!!

A lazy afternoon we decided to order from sushi Ai because we were hungry and tired. The menu has lots of great options and we opted for 5 rolls and fried gyoza. The good: the food was pretty yummy. Some of the rolls were too spicy for my taste but otherwise tasted great. The fish tasted fresh and everything was beautifully packed. Prices were reasonable per roll. The bad: Rolls take FOREVER to prepare. Now I do appreciate the attention to detail, but keep this in mind if you are tired and hungry. We ended up eating wayyyy late while waiting for food. The verdict: I will definitely order again and try different rolls on their menu!

Excellent service, the waitress was very kind and helpful. The sushi was fresh, the lemon sushi was amazing! Never had anything like it! And they serve tea by the pot! I definitely recommend and will come again.

This place is pretty good, it only got 4/5 because the sushi could be a little colder and the appetizers need to be served hotter like the edamame and the dumplings. It's a popular spot for military so it's always busy at lunch time. Go during the weekend.

My Vegas roll was perfect. Great size, perfectly fried so it wasn't hard to eat or too done. The avocado and salmon were both fresh. The wait was not very long but I came at 12:30 and may have missed the lunch rush. I assume being super close to Ft Carson it does get super busy at times. They offer take out though, so you can call in beforehand.

I just love Sushi Ai. The people are always so pleasant and the sushi is always absolutely delicious. Another one of my favorite things to order aside from sushi is the beef teriyaki bowl, it comes with rice, vegetables and the teriyaki beef and is VERY filling! I've had most of the rolls on their menu and every single one is amazingly delicious.

The Kimchi Jjigae is phenomenal--deeply flavorful with just the right amount of sour and spice. It's bold, comforting, and tastes like it's been simmering with intention. The kimchi pancake is perfectly crispy and insanely delicious, and the tteokbokki brings the heat with a spicy, addictive sauce that keeps you going back for "just one more bite." Don't skip the house-made cinnamon-ginger tea--it packs a warm, delicious punch and is the perfect way to round out the meal. And the banchan? Never-ending, always rotating, and every single one is different, delicious, and dangerously addictive. The service is just as great as the food--friendly staff, attentive without hovering, and clearly on top of things. The restaurant is busy (always a great sign), but we didn't wait for a table at all and were seated immediately. The ambiance ties everything together: warm, lively, and comforting without feeling chaotic. It's the kind of place where the energy makes the food taste even better, whether you're there for a casual meal or a full-on comfort-food fix. This place nails flavor, hospitality, and atmosphere all in one. If you love Korean food--or want to fall in love with it--Tong Tong is a must.

The brave souls that venture into the realm of independent restauranting are typically rewarded with limited patronage, and even death. The locals invariably demand large, corporate chain food replete with seed oils, sugar and salt. In light of the pricing, quality and portions afforded here at Tong Tong in their lunch special today, I will be enthusiastically adding them to my restaurant list for Colorado Springs. Today, I ordered the Spicy Bulgogi lunch special. With it came the soup, Kim Chi (2 varieties), Korean potato salad and rice, not to mention a pretty appetizing Spicy Bulgogi. It had the right spice quotient and most astonishingly, packed meat quality that was relatively good--all for a paltry $13! Everything was quite good, no, not at the level of LA's Koreatown's finest. But considering the price, the generosity, the overall quality, and most notably, the fact that we are in Colorado Springs, a foodie's worst nightmare, as a venue, this place scores highly with me. My apologies for the quality of the photos. I was rushed somewhat. I would encourage you to try this restaurant and sample the spicy bulgogi.

Located along Kia a one-way street in downtown, most parking is metered. We were lucky enough to find close parking and entered the old building which houses this restaurant. It was clean and bright with mini small and medium size table to choose from. Vince greeted us at the door and offered us our choice of seating, then proceeded to be our server as well. He was friendly and helpful and very attentive. After looking over the menu, my husband and I both chose the chicken bento box. It came with complementary miso soup which we enjoyed. The box itself held grilled teriyaki chicken on a bed of cabbage, a serving of white rice, a small salad with a gingery dressing, Two pieces of California roll, and five pieces of Tempura. The tempura consisted of four vegetable pieces and one large shrimp. I traded my husband my shrimp for one of his veggies. The chicken was very tasty and I appreciated the cabbage on which it's at as well as the salad. The California roll was OK. And the tempura was excellent. Their wide selection of sushi looked interesting, but we had our heart sit on bentos this time. A note on the table mentions that there is a surcharge on all credit card purchases. I note, though that the surcharge percent was based on total plus tax, which seemed wrong.

Shuga's Favorite Cafe Tray is an order that could satisfy one's entire meal but is best when shared as a starter or if you are looking for a light meal. The Mediterranean selection with the hummus and tapenade is amazing with the coconut shrimp soup being a must try with its creamy and spiciness. Though I love the almond butter cake the most to add a little dessert to the meal. The Madame of the Pletzl is one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've ever had. The bagel is perfectly salted and has a wonderful crunch the sandwich needs. The egg melts into the sandwich, mixing with everything it needs to. The ham is fried up to crisp it up a bit but the ham seems to be lacking flavor wise compared to everything else in the sandwich. The Cuban Mojo Sandwich also is an amazing sandwich. The pork shoulder is crisped up nicely and works so well with everything else. The winter soup was a tomato soup with some grilled cheese croutons and it is the best tomato soup I've ever had. The tomato soup isn't puréed, there are noticeable definitions in the tomatoes in the soup. The soup isn't too acidic which is the usual issue in tomato soups. The croutons really amplify this dish on to another level and I just wish there were more in my soup. I can't wait to come back here and my biggest issue will to try and order new things.
