I found exactly what I was looking for (something for pet hair). I told the guy who pointed me to where the sweepers were that I would take that one. He took the one of the shelf. When I said "oh, it doesn't come in a box" and he said, "we always put one together so you don't have to when you get home". How cool is that. I didn't have to deal with reading instructions, recycling the cardboard box, etc. I rolled my new sweeper out the door, drove home, and the vacuum (a Hoover) worked like a charm. I've also had the same experience there with my dehumidifier and a refrigerator. Easy shopping, stress free (no pushy sales people), and supporting small business!

Good news, bargain hunters! The former Busy Bea Flea Mall has a new owner and is open, once again,…read morerain or shine! Honestly, when it gets to be about this time of year- the end of summer/beginning of fall, the vendors at Reits have pretty much either packed up for the season or have left already, going bargain hunting usually means heading on out the the local Goodwills and the few hardy souls who decide to have yard sales this time of the year. But now, you can stop on in here and search to your heart's content! Just like Busy Bea, it features both indoor and outdoor spaces to come and sell your things, and it's much, much cleaner and brighter than it was- and there's a much better selection of stuff, especially since it's all active vendors and not just people leaving stuff on a shelf like the last few days of Busy Bea. There's a lot of different kinds of stuff here- from vintage games, to hunting and fishing equipment, even homemade baked goods that are miles above anything you can find in a local store bakery (I had the best apple walnut bread from a wonderful old lady here- I'd come back and buy full-size loaves of this and the banana if it was available)! There's still plenty of parking, and the attached restaurant is still there- I haven't been in to give that a try, but I'm hoping to in the coming weeks. Of course, you do have to be careful here- the booths are somewhat close together, and if you're not watching yourself with some big packages or things like a stroller, backpack, that kind of thing, it could lead to something going toppling, and this isn't really a place I'd bring young children unless they were well-behaved and were careful around breakables- there is a lot of vintage glass and ceramic and that kind of thing, so be careful. Everything here is also bought as-is- if you get something home and something's broke or missing out of it, then you're pretty much out of luck- so examine and test before you buy- but don't wait too long, because otherwise that great deal on something could walk away with someone else! As for me, you'll usually find me digging through the electronics, the books, the comics- because the one thing about this place is that nobody else has gone through the stuff- and the earlier you get here, the better selection you're going to have. Also, this isn't an in-and-out-in-fifteen-minutes kind of place- the more time you devote and time you take, the more you're going to find once you start digging, and by the time you get to the bottom and find that wonderful deal, you'll wonder just why you never came by this place before. If you're interested, come by some weekend between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. and find yourself some amazing bargains!

Each weekend we are bombarded with ads to use the big box stores for our home repair needs. Have…read moreyou noticed how the TV ads never match the experience? Rarely is a person at the big box store happy to see you, much less help. Especially when you go there for in depth guidance to a home remodel project. When you go back a few days later with more questions, you might get someone different and have to start all over! The experience at Floor Art is the exact opposite. We walked in the door and were surprised at how big the showroom was. The front entrance is quite deceiving. A woman welcomed us (we found out later she was the owner), explaining that someone would be with us shortly, as she was helping another customer. Fair enough. We used that time to look around. We soon learned that Floor Art brings flooring products in from all over the world; tile, hardwood, laminate, engineered, vinyl, all in different grades and thickness. Plenty of carpet choices as well. There are several product options already on their warehouse floor. Yet, they have access to many more, and can get them quickly. They offer everything needed for a bathroom or kitchen wall and flooring project. The sales rep we worked with gave guidance on tile patterns, sizing, and how best to make our tile really pop. In addition, she made suggestions on grout color and how to maintain it over time. They also offer the full range of waterproofing systems needed for water applications (that go under the tile), as in the case of our bathroom remodel. Everything needed to get your project done correctly. We came here because a good friend is a contractor in OH. He explained that a tile store would offer a better grade and quality than the big box stores. More importantly, the grout products that bigger stores sell, have added fillers (to keep their costs down). Fillers that will shrink and flake out over time. That's why you see tile grout flaking out on some tile projects after just a few years. We took a few tile samples home (and several pics on our phone), to use in our bathroom to help visualize the new space. The next time back after consulting with the sales rep, we picked 3 different tile patterns; one for the bathroom floor, the shower walls and the backsplash. Two were in stock, and the backsplash had to be ordered in. It took less than a week to arrive. Upon arrival we got an update phone call. Every item was staged until our contractor could pick it all up. Our bathroom remodel is now complete, and it looks great. The knowledge and expertise we received by the entire staff of Floor Art helped us save time and money in the long run. We can't wait to use them again, and world recommend them to anyone.
