Need a root canal in Kaneohe, O'ahu, Hawai'i?…read more My neighbor texted me yesterday and asked for a ride home. Immediately, I replied, "Yes!" She explained that she was going to drop her son off at school, leave her car, and walk to get a root canal. I was like... Whaaat? Why don't I drop you off, too? She thought about it and agreed to accept a ride to Apex Endodontics because she needed to take a sedative half an hour before the procedure (because she gets anxiety attacks)... AND... The staff wanted to see who was giving her a ride home. That's a good policy for the safety of the patient! They want to make sure that the patient doesn't drive under the influence! My friend explained where the office was located - on William Henry Road, across from Bank of Hawaii. I knew the building because I used to go to Zippy's next door (before it changed to Deans... And now, it's Café Kalawe). Easy! There's a free shared parking lot. So - the day arrived to exercise my chauffeuring skills. Everything went smoothly - before, during, and after the two-hour procedure! The reception area was clean, bright, and comfortable. The staff were friendly, prompt, and informative. My friend was fine! We even went to lunch after her root canal (she chewed her food on the unaffected side)! Thanks to Dr. Ching and staff for taking good care of my friend!

Dr. Ching made me feel comfortable as soon as I walked into his office as I was nervous about having to see an Endodonist. I also appreciated that his office has a tranquil atmosphere which added to the good experience. Thank you Dr. Ching and Apex Endodontics staff. I greatly appreciate your professionalism.

There are so many reasons why you should consider seeing somewhere other than this office for your…read moreOB/GYN needs. I'll list the top 3 most significant issues we had with them: 1. My wife had the fetal anatomy scan at 19 weeks and were told they would follow up with us to discuss the results and schedule future appointments. I had to call them when my wife was 39 weeks (yes, they went 20 weeks without seeing my wife). When we came in for the visit, they accused us of missing the anatomy scan and said that's why they never saw us again -- only to view their system and realize we did the anatomy scan and they dropped the ball. 2. The front office receptionist needs a makeover. They don't greet you and make you feel like an inconvenience to their conversation. You better not be running a few minutes late either. They will reschedule you with an empty office if you are 10 minutes late even considering the limitations of parking. But don't worry, if you're on time they'll have you wait 45-60 minutes to be seen. 3. I've seen some great reviews on other providers but Dr. Zavala shouldn't be one of them. I'll leave it at that. I'm positive you can find a different location for your needs and feel valued elsewhere.

My hubby has been complaining about neck pain so when I saw that they were offering a free first…read moresession, I jumped at the chance to sign the two of us up. Sound wave Hawaii Therapy is located in the Windward City Shopping Center, next door to 24 Hour Fitness. There is ample parking, however they do share the same parking spaces with 24 Hour and parking can be very hard to come by. Our appointment was at 9:00 am and there weren't many spaces available, we were lucky and scored a shaded parking space...someone was just leaving when we arrive. When you first visit there, you'll be greeted with a friendly smile and asked to take your shoes off, complete a form and also watch a short video. The video explains what wave therapy does and how it can benefit you. It shows different testimonies of people who have tried Soundwave Therapy. After watching the video, you'll be escorted to the main area where there are reclining chairs for you to choose from. In the middle will have a round table where the sound wave will be generating from and on that table you'll find noise cancelling headphones. It helps to use these headphones as the sound can be annoying after a while. There's a TV there so that you can also watch something. There was a group that had started before us, when their session ending she added the minutes at the end so that we could get the full hour. Being the only lady among the group, I had to watch football for the first few minutes. But you can also bring a book, your own iPad, games or fall asleep to pass the time (it is a one hour session...I chose the latter). Sorry guys for snoring so loud. :) So what is Soundwave Therapy?? It's an innovated drug-free device that emits low frequency acoustic sound waves to help improve your health and performance. The wave form is carried all direction (the reason for the round table) and is to help anyone who has chronic pain like my husband. Does it work? Well according to some of the testimonies in the video, Yes. Did it work for my husband? No. First of all my husband suffers from ringing in the ears, which this therapy wasn't that helpful for him. He told me the sound that I heard is what he hears constantly. Now I know why I have to yell at him all the time, thinking that he's not listening to me. :) Anyway, it didn't relieve any of his neck pain which I was hoping that it would. But he did enjoy relaxing with the noise cancelling headphones and catching up with his emails on his phone. It might not have worked for him or myself (maybe we're too thick skinned) but it might work for someone else. It was cool to try out a new therapy for free! If nothing seems to work for you to relief your pain then try this out, there's no harm in trying a new therapy. They also offer specials so check them out for yourself.

So, when my previous dentist passed away, I searched for a replacement... I knew that Dr. Jo Ann was a graduate of my high school and that she had gone to San Francisco for college. Dr. Anthony Kim was absolutely awesome. While the procedure itself felt a bit daunting, Dr. Kim made the experience painless and constantly checked in to ensure I was comfortable and pain-free, both during and after the visit. I truly appreciate his attentive care. However, the administrative experience was quite difficult. As a new patient, the registration process relied on an app that did not provide copies of the information I submitted, which felt disorganized. I have also faced significant challenges obtaining a standard American Dental Association (ADA) claims form, which I need to secure insurance reimbursement. Furthermore, the phone system is unreliable; I requested a callback three times while on hold, and I never received a response. While I highly recommend Dr. Kim for his clinical excellence, I hope the center improves its communication and administrative support to better serve patients.
