This store is my lifesaver. My wife gives me crap about how I find a reason to stop in here…read moreeveryday on my way home from work. Honestly, this is the go-to place for work lunch in Mt. Vernon. Their deli and salad bar are stellar. You can tell that the meat department is a passion here. While the selection isn't as great as Walmart and the big stores, they pack A LOT into this space. Staff are incredible. And you can tell that they support one another. If lines get long, there's always someone jumping in to open a new lane. I will also say that this store and its management are deeply committed to community, volunteering their time and money in a lot of projects and charities affecting the county and Mt. Vernon. Feel good about shopping here.

It will make your mouth water for sure!!!! There is a limited selection of pickled vegetables, chow chow and relishes. I spied some candied jalapeños there.... If you like sweet heat you should try them!!! House made deli sides sold there as well. The baked beans, ( yes I sampled some) are outstanding!!! The employees we spoke with were so friendly. We will definitely return next time we are in town!!! 5 BIG stars!!!!

It is very clean inside and set up nicely, also the people running it were almost to the level of "Trader Joe Nice" which was really unexpected. Anyway, would I come back if I was in the area again? Maybe, the burgers were pretty delicious all things considered (I guess they should be at that price) and it seems higher quality than Kroger, so I dont know, I guess I just need to make sure its after payday.

The rebrand attempts at Newburgh location look like a Dunkin knockoff with a pink donut (never in my life have I seen a hot pink frosted donut at DB), and the rest of the building looks like it was attacked by Joanna Gaines. No charm, no nostalgia, no unique local vibe. The company has also been recent years, chosen to be very public about their political opinions. I'm completely fine with shopping anywhere and not caring about their politics, but when a business chooses to be public and vocal about it, customers are forced to choose where to shop. For this reason, we have not shopped at Donut Bank in a long time and will never again.

[B&C is a closeout store] Firstly, I am going to say I do…read moreappreciate this store for a few reasons. For one, because of their merchandise finds. I do consider myself a big-time thrill seeker when it comes to extreme money saving shopping trips and when I can (examples: coupon shopping, loyalty points, store reset sales, price matching, scanning and finding those secret markdowns making items pennies on the dollar & major money saving items that are almost free). BUT there are so many times I am unable to get out & catch those sales and items so I appreciate having somewhere to go that I can get some items or cool finds below the normal retail price that you would have to pay at full price and those items coming from those same stores I would shop at normally, but found here. And some of the merchandise is extremely worth it. Bring as (I - myself) do those extreme shopping and money saving, studying in all those other stores quite often, and I know what items are a great buy and not so much. ***[Yes, they have food items. It's going to be normal that you will see expired dates but that does not mean that those items are no good, and necessarily not worth eating, but I guess that part is a personal preference to each customer and what they may or may not want to buy]. Just remember, you're getting a huge discount on those items, so don't be weird about it if you don't notice or know.*** Secondly, I love some Hunt's Brother's pizza! And they have it there! It's another central location that is easy to get to if you need a quick dinner that night or a bite to eat. I have already ordered some from there, and it's yummy Hunt's Brother's recipes for sure. They are also not at all on my 'extra cheese' requests that I must have every time!! Thirdly, I want to mention this last experience - only to give the owners some feedback and pointers. This mention and segment does not affect the rating nor my overall experience in any way, and definitely not the rating I'm giving them because every experience has been great for us thus far. This instance that happened isn't really that big of a deal to me personally, to be honest. (When it comes to large purchase items that are being sold for closeout, I would have an employee take a few extra minutes to over look those specific products and what it should come with, if anything to ensure all parts are there for the customer) Large as in $50 & up items. We know not all things are expected to be perfect at a store with closeout. With that being said, I am so thankful they do offer refunds / returns within a certain time frame if that does happen on big ticket items, which it did to me. (Which again it's not that big of a deal, I just wanted to mention it being as I was an assistant manager in the retail business for years and I know how those 'hard to make happy customers' can be, and I want to give the owner any & all feedback that I can that may help them be even more successful!)

The boxes we got consisted of jelly filled (white frosted), cronuts, cinnamon rolls, and plain glazed. First off, the sizes on these donuts are one of the biggest I've seen (that aren't from a specialty donut place). Secondly, these are also quality donuts. My favorite donuts are hands down are cronuts (donuts and croissant mix) and apple fritters, and this place does these two really well. Cinnamon rolls, heated up for 10 seconds, were near perfection. Hands-down my favorite spot locally.
